Or, maybe he's not media savvy or comfortable in front of the camera. Maybe LE have told him Sky is most likely dead. Maybe he needs to hold on to a sliver of hope that his baby boy is alive. Maybe he will do and say anything to appease the person who "lost" Sky....in hopes she will stop her hateful, hurtful and mean actions and tell where Sky is. I guess it's super-awkward to have to go on national TV and beg the mother of your child to tell you what she has done to your baby boy and where she hid, buried, dumped him. Super-awkward.

It also wouldn't be a surprise if he were medicated after his child went missing. Poor guy.

I invite JB to get whatever meds his doctor has him on and move her butt to the Police Station! I think Dad looks sedated, distraught, tired and confused but hes doing what he can. Unlike some.

What the father is describing also rings true to me. You'd have to have a pretty wild imagination to come up with some of those specific behaviors if it was not true.

With respect to the luggage in that photo on Flickr, I believe it may belong to JB's father. I imagine he came to visit (from the Ukraine?) and because of JB's cleaning issues (and maybe lack of room in her apartment), they all stayed at a nearby hotel to spend time together.

Perhaps. But why take a picture of her father's OPEN luggage on the floor? That picture just confused the heck out of me as to the purpose of taking THAT particular photo with daughter (and no son) sitting on the sofa behind it.

I still smell an ulterior motive...lol

That what it looks like, considering she had custody of the two kids.

She found a therapist to say she is fine and give her a nod in court. DESPITE a psychologist and psychiatrist both saying she was BPD/OCD. Its doctor shopping most likely. Except...shes not a doctor. Therapists cant prescribe medication. What a mess.

I hope to LE makes the decision to arrest and charge Julia today. It's clear she is 'reluctant' to participate in assisting LE in finding her baby boy.

It's clear to me with her mental health issues, she's probably safer incarcerated than on the outside. My greatest concern is that she, like little Timmothy Pitzen's mother will commit suicide, and then we'll have no answers regarding Sky's whereabouts.

I don't care what they charge her on, as long as it is something they can hold her on or have her committed again so she can't harm herself.

I think her "OCD" only manifests itself in her living space. Hotel rooms, conference rooms, restaurants....she can control herself.

Well, she was clearly not so ill that she couldn't break her OCD cycles with her attempts to prove dad wrong. There goes the insanity defense.

Police say they will discuss switching their efforts in the case of two-year-old Sky Metalwala from a missing person search to a criminal investigation

There is a chance they could bring in Sky’s mother, Julia Biryukova, for investigation of child endangerment. Police say she claimed she left Sky alone in her car on 112th Street NE on November 6 after the car ran out of gas. She said she left the boy strapped into his car seat and went to get help. When she returned an hour later, the boy was gone.

“On Monday we will be talking to prosecutors and will determine then if anything will happen, but that won't happen until Monday,” Bellevue Police Major Mike Johnson said Monday.

Johnson said police remain frustrated with the information flow from Sky’s mother.

“But we understand that she’s traumatized by this and devastated by the loss of her son,” he said. “We’re hopeful that if she can gather herself we can have that conversation that we need to have.”

More than just awkward IMO. He is in an almost impossible position.

He is, in a sense, acting as a hostage negotiator with a psycho who hates him -- and doing so with the eyes of the world watching.
