Rumors on a blog following the case closely that LT is living in his house and driving his car... She's also posting ultrasound video on her FB. Oh goodness.

Any idea where she was living before? Does she work? There seems to be a real disconnect with her, like she doesn't grasp the gravity of the situation her "Prince Charming" is in at all. She's got some videos posted of him which are positively gag-inducing. Oh, that poor child-to-be (not to mention his other children who no longer have either parent, thanks to this disturbed individual).

This is very disturbing. LT seems to want to take over the whole interview and make it about her. AS eyes seemed to be struck in "stare" mode. I can see why LE are suspicious of him if this is the way he acted during the interview. A lot of red flags in this case. Should be interesting to watch. jmo

Read the whole police report posted above.......wow....this guy is seriously an idiot taking away the mother of his children.....not to mention, a terrible perp. It's like he couldn't make up his mind or have the balls to try and leave the area, he was even thinking about taking the kids with to non-extraditing countries. I think this guy has some mental issues, it's sad that the mother had to suffer and I hope the kids go to her family.

Believe it or not, but Alan Smith, charged with killing his wife Susann, has pled not guilty. Court hearing is scheduled for Aug. 15. Trial date is set for Sept. 13.

Under "Search for a Case", click "Case Search Options". Accept the terms and conditions on the next page. Click "Superior Court Cases". Search under Snohomish County Court for criminal cases filed in 2013 with the name Alan Smith and it should come right up.

Under a Request for Discovery, the name CM is listed. A little Googling comes up with the fact that she is a public defender with the Snohomish County Office of Public Defense.

The last two entries are "Notice Not to be Interrogated" filed on 7/23 and 7/24. Any legal types know what that might mean? I thought possibly it was notices filed by AS's lawyer that he is asserting his right to refuse to answer any additional questions, or maybe notices asserting AS's right to have his attorney present when he is being interrogated?

Interestingly, LT has gone awfully quiet on Facebook... Went from multiple posts per day with tons of "oversharing" and defense of her man to nothing being posted since July 23rd. And before that, 2 weeks of no mention of AS. Beforehand, she tagged everything as "- with Alan Smith." Hmmm.

I really hope AS isn't allowed to use this sale to pay for legal costs. The money should go to Susann's children, IMO.

Apparently, the law is such that it is not required that the realtor disclose that a murder occurred in the home. Washington employs a "caveat emptor" policy - it's up to the buyer to fully investigate the property and any claims made by the seller.

ETA - Maybe not much money for anyone... This listing on a different realtor's site says it's a short-sale or foreclosure...

The sale agreement also states that the seller is Alan Smith's sister [name redacted], who has power of attorney, according to the seller disclosure statement.

[The realtor] said that the home carries no equity and is being sold as a short sale.

Smith's girlfriend [LT] has been seen in the neighborhood along with a man who one neighbor said resembles Alan Smith.

"We were told it was a friend of that woman and he just looks like Alan," said [a neighbor].

A towel found under Susann Smith's body in the bathtub has "DNA consistent with Alan Smith's profile on it," said Snohomish County Prosecuting Attorney Craig Matheson. The towel also had DNA consistent with Susann Smith and a third person, believed to possibly be their son. Matheson said that it seems unlikely that the DNA would be there on the towel from the last time Alan Smith claimed to have been in the home.

Lots and lots of evidence... Don't think he's getting away with this one. He's considered an extreme flight risk.

On February 11th, 2013, the defendant, Alan J. Smith... savagely beat, cut and ultimately drowned his estranged wife Susann Smith... The attack was precipitated by a contentious dissolution and and custody battle between the defendant and Susann. The attack has essentially orphaned defendant's two young children, aged six and three. The attack appears to be carefully planned out, with extensive efforts made at both obscuring who the killer was, and at leaving little forensic evidence for investigators to find.

I feel badly for these children. "Essentially orphaned"? I assume this means no family to take them in and they've been placed in the system. What a selfish, selfish psychopath they have for a father. JMO.
