GUILTY WA - Tarrah 'Danielle' Nemetz, 19, murdered, Lakewood, 16 Oct 2014

Watching Skylar's cross examination reminded me of the techniques Jodi Arias used to resist answering by nitpicking about words and forcing the prosecutor to jump through hoops to get an answer. He was so smug. It didn't work for Jodi. I don't think it will work for Skylar.

I thought interesting that jury isn't deciding guilt but manslaughter or first degree...they acknowledged he killed her

Yes, his defense attorneys go a step further:

"attorneys for 21-year-old Skylar Nemetz admit that prosecutors have successfully proven the former soldier is guilty of manslaughter"

Watching for verdict. I hate SN's attitude. Agree he resembles Jodi. Hope he gets M1.

I know what you mean. I check the FB page every few hours! They mostly looked at evidence on Monday. For now, I'm going to keep telling myself that the jury is wanting to make sure they get it right. It's such a huge responsibility.

Please let there be a verdict today. I feel so very sad for Danielle's family.

Here is an MSM article. He will be in his early thirties if he serves the whole amount. I wonder if Danielle's family will consider a civil suit like the Brown family did against OJ. It's easier to win and his money would not be his own for the rest of his life.

The Pierce County Superior Court jury rejected the charge of first-degree murder that prosecutors sought and instead chose to convict Netmetz of first-degree manslaughter with a firearm enhancement, which carries a sentencing range of 11.5 to 13.5 years. Sentencing is set for March 25.

The presiding juror speaks:

Ralph Flick served as presiding juror.
Flick said outside court that a majority of jurors was not convinced by the evidence that Nemetz intended to kill his wife.
“We just couldn’t get there,” he said.
The vote on the first-degree murder count was 11-1 to acquit, Flick said. It was 8-4 to acquit on the second-degree murder count.
He said deliberations took a long time not because jurors were arguing but because they examined every scrap of evidence, including reviewing seven hours of videotaped evidence, a lengthy part of which was Nemetz’s interrogation by police.

Manslaughter 1 with firearms enhancement. I don't have time to look for MSM right now. This is from FB and John Chiv's blog.

For those who have kept track of Skylar's Mom's page "for" Danielle on FB, I'm frankly disgusted by her gloating.

Lillibet, I am disgusted with the behavior of Skylar's mother as well as that odd FB page of hers. It's clear where he gets the attitude and sense of entitlement. He will get his due and in time she will be whittled down a few notches. IMO

Unfortunately, it looks as if a wrongful death suit will not be possible according to WA law as I understand it. Danielle had no parents or other family who were dependent on her. So that would prevent her siblings from suing.

Skylar's mother directed her snarky comments last evening about a lawsuit toward James P, Danielle's substitute Dad, who never considered suing AFAIK, and wouldn't be qualified in any case.

The behavior of Skylar's mother has been rude, vile, disrespectful and so many other choice words. To bring up the fact that her 🤬🤬🤬 son can't be sued was unnecessary and just shows how much of a tactless witch she is. I checked out her travesty of a page and came away with the impression that she's nuttier than a fruitcake with a side of delusional entitlement.
