If a teenager leaves a cult/sect they are minors and unless the abuse can be proven, the court will return them to the parents.

A wife can usually leave anytime she wants...without the kids. If she takes the kids, a court will award custody to the father and return them to him because he is the one with the income and a home.

Anyone who dares to stand up to a prophet is punished severely and used as an example to the rest of the sect so they don't even think of making the same mistake. They are punished by having their homes that they built and paid for taken away and run out of town. The families will be split up and reassigned to a new husband. They are beaten, starved and imprisoned.

Bumping this up. Note the "consequences" highlighted in red.

Exactly what I stated in post 504.

I would recommend you read up on the "lost boys" who have been banished from the sect. There are far more of them than of women who have left voluntarily. These are children who have been ripped from their families, have no where to go and have intcomplete educations and often no skills with which to support themselves. "GENERALLY" speaking, the women do not leave. And even if they did, they also have limited education and no marketable skills. It's a catch 22 for all of them.

May I ask how you gained access to a computer and got out? You are obviously out now and safe but you are making statements and then being very cryptic. Raped from age 3 months? If you were in a cult and got out have you talked to the authorities so that they can do something about this cult? As I said you are obviously out now and safe and with access to a computer so I see no reason why you can't answer these questions as they are not personal and will not put you in harms way whatsoever. Thank you.

I am safe to an extent, I have had several close calls of them finding me. Hence my "cryptic" messages.

Not only do I know about the lost boys, I'm the one who first brought it to this thread!!! Good lord, I said women can usually leave voluntarily. I did not state there were no consequences. In fact I listed the consequences. What you are stating is what I've stated in the past couple of posts I made. You aren't telling me anything new. In fact I posted that info before you did.

If I post that I used to belong to a group that rolls in butter naked and tries to see how much faith they have by standing as long as possible in the Sahara sun at midday.....how would they find me?

The children who are banished are never allowed to return. Their mothers are forced to forsake them. No matter how strong the mother-child connection, the control is complete and if the mothers are told to turn away from their own children, they will - most of the time. It's a powerful resource used by the "elders." If your oldest son is banished and you have 8 or 10 more babies, you will do what you must to protect the younger children. Yet another tool of control.

So they are actively looking for you? Do you have protection? How long are they going to look for you? Why haven't the authorities put them in jail if you told all you know and they know where they were located?

You know what? I don't need this. IT takes courage to share my story, and I don't do it to be critisized I do it to help others realze what Mind control is and does to a person. Grow up!

I wish you would share your story. The problem with being cryptic is sometimes it doesn't make sense and doesn't ring true. I'm not saying that definetly in your case, but if you're going to tell your story (in my opinion only) I think you need to tell it all the way. To tell you the truth I'm having a bit of trouble believing it because you won't answer questions that will not do you any harm. If I am wrong I apoligise but I do need to hear more in order to believe you.

You should not be hesitant at all. You are an inspiration and you deserve to be heard. I, for one, am grateful for your insight. I wish you all the best. I really don't think most people really know what happens in the FLDS and you are a beacon into that world.

Well if you choose not to believe it then that is your choice. I knwo what I have been through, and really could care less if you beleive me or not. My sole purpose is to help others understand what these kids and woman are going through. If there is an issue with that then I will refrain from not doing that anymore. My apoligies

But she said she wasn't in the FLDS. She said she was in some weird brainwashing cult where they used mind control and raped 3 month old babies and practiced human sacrifice. But somehow she got on a computer and got out. And they are still looking for her. I also think she deserves to be heard. I just wish she's start talking instead of posting cryptic comments and then getting mad when her story is questioned.

Maybe at a later date I will tell you my story. But to be truthful.. I am hesitent to do that, as everytime I do I get people telling me I am lying, and that I am just saying the stuff for attention. It takes time to work up the courage to tell my story, and then to get knocked down for it,,,,, So That is also another reason to keep my mouth shut. When it comes to this case though, and anything I have experienced, if i feel I can offer any insight I will.

Oh Bless your heart. Thank you for trying to save me. It seems hopeless though!
you are welcome. i said the things i said and i stand by them. no reason a innocent person should be blasted for my feelings.

Now that we are all a little clearer..... back to the topic the FLDS children who are confused by all of this, and those parents who have done nothing wrong who must be afraid tonight. And about those who are guilty and all the sorting out it is going to take while still protecting the basic rights of the individuals who do in fact belong to this very real religious group.
