Bottom line, the Ramseys did not want the police to know that BR was awake at any point that morning and surely didn't want the police questioning him right away. Didn't BR tell the psychologist that he pretended to be asleep when French looked in his room? So, we have all known he was awake. This is not a bombshell. There won't be a bombshell. It's ratings week. DP needs something more than a bratty, unmanageable teen and dysfunctional, hapless, parents to score big numbers.

BBM. Yes, and I find it highly suspect that a 9 year old would WILLINGLY stay in his room and pretend to be asleep at that point. That much hubbub, had it been a real intruder, ransom note, and hysterical, 911 calling parents, would have kept both of my sons glued to my side at 9 years old, probably sobbing enough that when the police arrived only minutes later, they would still be snuffling and nearly inconsolable. Burke was prepped by his parent(s) to go to bed and pretend to be asleep, and quite calm about it considering it all.

Yes Dr. Glass is outstanding. If anyone hasn’t ever heard Marc Klaas or Dr. Glass speak about this case, Tricia scored quite a coup in having them on a program after JR came out with his book TOSOS. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/websleuths/2012/03/19/websleuths-radio -. their interviews begin with Marc Klaas at about the 18:33 mark and Dr. Lillian Glass at about 21:29 One very intriguing comment from JR on the Anderson Cooper show was that BR is able to compartmentalize very well. I'm Boulder Police Chief Greg Testa
This December will mark 20 years since the death
of JonBenet Ramsey.

And as Boulder's Police Chief I'm entrusted
with this investigation.
PBD is committed to finding Justice for JonBenet,
through a methodical and comprehensive investigation
while looking at all aspects of the case.

This is an open investigation.
Investigators from our Major Crimes Unit
assigned to this case, they receive and evaluate
information on a regular basis.

Our goal continues to be an arrest
and successful prosecution,
which is why we will not discuss
or release details or evidence
in this investigation.

There is no question this case
has caught world wide attention.

And there continues to be speculation as to
who committed this crime.

Publications and movies offer many theories
on how this crime occurred and who is
responsible.
Facts have been surmised
and often distorted
which has led to many conclusions.

To date, the PBD has processed more than
1500 pieces of evidence,
including the analysis
of over 200 DNA samples.
Our Major Crimes Unit has received
and reviewed or investigated
over 20,000 tips, letters or e-mails.
Our Detectives have traveled to over 18 states,
and interviewed or spoken with more than
1000 individuals.

As an organization, we continue to review
and examine our practices and procedures
and use advancements in technology to
further this investigation.
We continue to work closely
with the Boulder's District Attorney's
office, consult with experts, and call upon
local and national resources as needed.

We have not and will not give up.
We remain focused on this investigation
and finding justice for JonBenet.

Members of the BPD will not be

"But, in response to numerous requests from programs that are using September to highlight the event that made Dec. 26, 1996, a date of infamy — at least locally — the department today issued a video statement by Boulder Police Chief Greg Testa addressing the state of the case nearly two decades later.
In a 2 minute, 32 second statement, Testa described the Ramsey investigation as an open case with investigators from the department's major crimes unit still assigned in an ongoing effort to bring "justice for JonBenet."
"They receive and evaluate information on a regular basis," Testa said in the video. "Our goal continues to be an arrest and successful prosecution, which is why we will not discuss or release details or evidence in this investigation."
Testa offered an update on the legwork that has gone into the star-crossed probe.

"To date, the Boulder Police Department has has processed more than 1,500 pieces of evidence, including the analysis of over 200 DNA samples," he said. "Our major crimes unit has received and reviewed or investigated over 20,000 tips, letters or emails. Our detectives have traveled to over 18 states and interviewed or spoken with more than 1,000 individuals."

"Testa's statement comes just three days before the debut of the first national production scheduled to air in coming weeks on the Ramsey case. "The Killing of JonBenét: The Truth Uncovered" is produced by Mills Productions for the A&E Network. It will be premiere at 9 p.m. Monday on A&E.

"Skepticism on publicity's benefits

Former Adams County District Attorney Bob Grant, one of the outside prosecutors brought in to advise Hunter on the investigation, has been interviewed by several of the programs set to air. But he was tempered in his enthusiasm for what they might reveal.
"The merit and value (the shows have) is to the sponsors," Grant said. "Those folks are going to make a lot of money because people still want to hear about it."
Grant was also doubtful that the renewed publicity might shake loose the tip or evidence that will bring the case to a long-sought resolution.
"I don't see it," Grant said. "The case will always be, in my mind, one where there are two likely scenarios. And to prove one, you have to disprove the other. And it's not going to happen.
"If someone comes forward and confesses, whether that's someone inside or outside the family, and that confession is not the kind of ridiculousness that (onetime suspect John Mark) Karr put together, there's a potential. But it would have to be someone that matches that DNA — or, there would have to be an answer to that DNA, one way or the other. So, I don't see the publicity sparking any further advances in the investigation."

Just saying......Asperger's patients usually benefit from and employ "routines" in their lives for greater personality productivity. Routines are important for them because they can successfully "compartmentalize" activities, which helps them figure out more easily what to expect next in their order of living. They usually do not do well in unstructured circumstances or planning.

Which SHOULD mean it is not a BDI, since an arrest would have to lead to charges for murder. And if he is serious about welcoming local and national assistance in solving the crime, WHY do we get reports that credible pro bono LE specialists offers are turned down? And, why is it common knowledge that the FBI is waiting for the BPD to re-invite them into the case so their assistance can be used?

I just hate to think about the world labeling BR as a killer if he had nothing to do with it. And if he did kill her, he was nine years old. As curious as I am to hear him speak, it seems so exploitive.

I blame the parents for covering up whatever happened. Then I ask myself whether I would cover for my child. I don't think so, but I might in the heat of a moment. Not that I'm saying I think BDI...just, if that was the case, I could almost understand. But the burden of such a lie on everyone would not have been worth it in the long run. I feel for BR, whatever the case may be.

AFAIK, no one is forcing him to give an interview, but I do completely understand your sense of this. As you mention, if BDI, most people can understand a parent’s reaction of circling the wagons, so to speak, to protect their son. I would not do it, but I understand this impulse. What people cannot grasp is the adults' actions post concealment of the indictment by the DA. The non-action of the DA emboldened the Rs to go further on a campaign which ruined others’ reputations and demolished careers by innuendo, false reports, and lawsuits.

Here’s an interesting excerpt from PA’s book. She was the wife of JR’s pilot. PA housed the Rs when the DA said there would be no charges after the GJ concluded. Her book is actually very pro-Patsy, with a number of amazing distortions, like how neat and tidy Patsy was. However, also included in the book was a scene after AH announced to the press there would be no one charged. Patsy was watching a number of channels and news announcers discuss the lack of evidence for an indictment. There was, however, one woman commentator who stated she didn’t understand why they were not indicted since there was so much that pointed to both of them.

Patsy was agitated and said, “I want her name. We need to get our attorneys on her, and sue her for what she is saying.” Patsy was serious and mad that the woman was saying she didn’t understand why they were not indicted since there was so much that pointed to both of them. Yes, Patsy was hopping mad. She jumped up and down and said, “Write her name down as we need to get her for saying these things about us.”

Oh John is so predictable... what was done to us, blah, blah, blah. Not FIND the person who beat and murdered my baby daughter- God help us all- he is still out there. MY daughter deserves justice.

He is SO transparent- how IDI do not see this as a huge problem is beyond me.

Poor baby girl- if she were mine I would never give up looking for the killer.
