then he was scared about how psycho mom acted that morning, now he thinks it's funny
hahahah my mom was screaming oh my gosh oh my gosh my baby my baby

nervous tick, nervous tick....still......thats NOT funny unless you know it's pure fantasy

People can smile when they are nervous, it doesn't mean they find the situation funny.
JMO But this guy needs to stop being crucified for every tiny move he makes.

To me, all the pieces of the puzzle seem to fit with BDI.

Except for one important fact: He's never spilled the beans. I'm sure he's been asked many many times whether he had anything to do with the crime, and obviously he has never said a word that would incriminate him.

Why in earth would the Ramseys have let him leave the house right after the crime? Nobody could be sure he wouldn't talk. Many kids who are victims or witnesses of crimes are told to keep their mouth shut, and are threatened, yet most of them still crack after a certain period of time.

If I was a Ramsey, and knew that Burke either had killed JB or knew who else had, I wouldn't let him out of my sight, in fear of him breaking down and confessing.

That's the only problem I've got with BDI, but it's a major issue for me.

If so nervous he should have stayed at home.

he is not nine anymore.it was his decision to expose himself like this.for 20 years he didnt say a word.of course people study every single smile and word of his.dont think it's surprising

Is it possible he doesn't know he did it? Maybe John and Patsy told him she was fine after he whacked her round head? Or maybe, he's convinced himself he didn't do it cos it's too painful?

I thought about that and yes it's possible IMO
but the best option in this case would have been for JR to stop him doing the show?

The problem is he can't. You saw in the CBS trailer how he was being harrassed outside his home.

In this interview I see him as merely a puppet. He was probably asked by his father to defend himself and the family against the tidal wave that's coming.

He seems like an extremely reserved person, no wonder he's a nervous wreck infront of the cameras, his whole body posture is screaming he's uncomfortable.

I want to make clear I am not an IDI in the slightest. I'm RDI but I personally feel BDI is going to crumble down.

@bold
I agree. He should have said no, IMO.He is not prepared for this IMO.HARD to believe that Lin Wood said go ahead and do it, it will be positive for you?

Maybe he feels pressured by his father to speak out in defense of an IDI theory because of renewed scrutiny about this case at the 20 year mark? Who knows what kind of fears and pressures BR has been subjected to all his life?

he has to find the courage to say daddy, NO.
he has a wife and daughter now.they are more important than daddy.

He does? I thought he was single?

I can't find anything that says Burke has a wife or any kids. :twocents:

What I don't understand is when it is stated that the dog is "JonBenet's dog". To me that is extremely unusual - a dog is usually always a family dog.
Especially when there is another child (B.R.) in the family. Is there a reason why this dog was only deemed "JonBenet's" dog?

I can sort of see this only if there were two dogs and JonBenet primarily was with the one. But I cannot see how a dog is deemed a dog of
one child only when there are other children in the house. This always bothered me.

Even if only one child bothered with the dog it is usually referred to as the "family dog".

This always stood out to me. Is there a possibility that he demonstrated cruelty at an even earlier age than 9? Just a thought about
something that didn't make sense to me.

I do know the dog lived with the neighbors, the Barnhills, and JB would go over to their house when she wanted to see him. PMPT pg 236

Is there any info as to whether she would have survived the head injury if she'd gotten treatment?

Irrelevant, of course, if the parents discovered her already asphyxiated with the cord, but others have also wondered about this.

From poster Zotto over on FFJ who spoke to a Professor of Anatomy who'd worked for a long time in a Pediatric Casualty Department: I asked how JonBenet could still be alive with such a massive fracture, and he showed me photos in some of his medical books of children who had sustained fractures similar and worse to JBR and still had been able to walk.

eta: Only medical professionals/coroners have legal determination whether someone is deceased. I believe the act of NOT calling 911 for a fatally injured child could carry negligent homicide charges, but negligence is also insinuated in the child abuse charges.

JonBenét Ramsey's brother Burke speaks out for the first time since her death 20 years ago
Today
Sept 9, 2016

BR: Yep.
The first thing I remember is my mom.
first thing in my room, really frantic, saying like
"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh"
running around my room.
looking for JonBenet.

At that point I was awake...
... next thing I remember, is a
police officer coming into my room and
and shining a flash light.

DP: How long after she came in, before
the police officer came in?

BR: shh, under an hour.

DP: So she comes in, and were you asleep
when she came in? Did she wake you up?

BR: She woke me up. I remember her saying,
"Where's my baby?, where's my baby?"

Re: tape of BR's interview with child psychologist

DP: This is the first time you've seen it, right?

BR: Ya.

......

DP: When you see that do you remember it?

BR: Ya.

BR: I remember the room.
I think I didn't know
it was a psychologist.

DP: Did you consciously not draw JonBenet?

BR: I don't really remember what was going through my head.
But she was gone, so I didn't draw her.

Does his awkward smile in the first clip give anyone else the creeps? Pictures of him have always made my skin crawl. Watching these videos only solidified and increased that feeling. IMO BR has a wicked dark side.

I think the Dr Phil interview is going to creep a lot of people out. Which is unfortunate. He was only 9!

WOW. I saw the clip and, ok, now I see what y'all are talking about! That left me feeling icky all over. It will be hard to watch the whole thing.

It makes sense now why in the previews before you very rarely saw BR's face (more from behind, shots of his hands, etc.). So they didn't show him smiling and laughing like that until it was coupled with DP addressing how odd that behavior will seem to some. It very much reminds me of JR's demeanor when he talks about JBR these days.

Usually I try not to be so callous, but who knows, maybe they are both of laughing at us. Haha - we got one over one you and there's nothing you can do about it! I know that's flippant of me an probably no the case, but that's what I kept thinking as I watched the clip.

Your sister's murdered when you're 9 years old. Your mother has ovarian cancer. The international media stalks you and says you and/or your parents murdered your sister. Your parents isolate and seclude you, hiring body guards to protect you from the ever-present media and curiosity-seekers. Then your mother dies. Your whole life has been a freak show.

It would be pretty hard to seem "normal" after all that. I still don't get why he did this interview. It seems so exploitive and damaging and intrusive. And yes, of course I'll be watching. It is fascinating. But it's heartbreaking to me at the same time. - Boodles

Yes, he sure is an odd duck.

[BR can parlez his DP appearance into
other income earning ventures.
Print media, other exclusive interviews,
copyright photos, maybe not speaking engagements
but appearances,
his book. Who knows. The potential earnings are there.]
