Was Burke Involved ? # 3

It certainly would not have been to make empty accusations and hurt other human beings.

Odd that the closet door was latched for LE, unlatched for FW and latched again for JR.

JAR was in Georgia having Christmas with his mother and went to a movie with friends that night. He produced a ticket stub and there was an image of him at an ATM machine (or maybe just an ATM transaction record) right before the movie. He was in Georgia the next morning as he boarded a flight to MI.

Where was the key kept? Who had access to it? Was it normally locked?

WTH-- lets talk cord---- was the garrote cord/rope of a craft type ? macramé, or in quilting for decoration or to enhance a seam?

Where was the key kept? Who had access to it? Was it normally locked?

No key but rather a latch fashioned from a piece of wood maybe 1x1x4, that swiveled on a nail which was inserted into the top of the door frame. When positioned with the 4 inches being the height, it would stop the door from opening from the outside. When positioned with the 1 inch being the height the door would open.

I never get tired of typing this:

NEVER, in the history of the FBI had there been a ransom note/kidnapping where:
the ransom note was written on materials from the scene of the kidnapping or written at that scene; or
the victim was murdered and the body left at the scene.

Exactly, there is no other reason whatsoever. Staged to hide previous sexual abuse.

As FBI agent stated - sexual/sadistic, stranger, child killers remove the child from the scene of the abductions as quickly as possible in order to do whatever perverted things they are going to do in a place that is safe for the predator. They do not stay in the child's home and risk being caught or interrupted.

So, here are 3 reasons, learned from thousands of cases and studies, that tell us there was no perverted intruder. The other two I have posted above.

Burke did get psychological help. It's not clear to me that his life would have been better if he was identified as the person who killed his sister. As it was, he went to normal schools and received a good education - not that much of that shows up in the Dr. Phil interviews.

I have read that it is thought that the cord and tape MAY have come from an American girl doll...there were fibers on tape that might have been from a doll. The thought is that the dolls have a cord that ties head on and that sometimes folks put duct tape over cord that is long...or something like that.

As for school records, that is a good question and I don't know for sure but I just read in Kolar's book that BR's medical records were sealed from investigation.

TeaTime just for S & G----- I read the ransom note and made some notes------sweetholymotherofpearl--that is some bit of crazy. Maybe I can subtitle said note as 'A Tale of a Stray Dog and a Fat Cat or Two Gentlemen Watching Over Your Child" to quote the note.
I would think that "a small foreign faction" would mention the need for funding---- the "I" narrator writer does not, nor any of the "We" of said faction.
Damn--if there is soooooome way the note writer could come in and comment on this, it would make my year !

I find it interesting that he was inquisitive enough to want to sneak downstairs and play with his toys , yet less than 8 hours later his sister is missing but he is not at all inquisitive. He is one remarkable 9 year old boy imo

My thoughts exactly. The family also was planning to leave that morning for a vacation, yet not a word from Burke about it? He didn't even mention it as far as I know, which is ODD anyway you look at it.

1. Vacation! (more toys)
2. Sana came the day before, NOT even interested in running downstairs and playing with new toys the very next morning before leaving for vacation.

Until his DP interview, I didn't KNOW he snuck back downstairs that dreadful night.
Pineapple is not a mystery for me anymore. It does not look good for BR...

I still don't understand, though. JR and PR denied molestation? I thought that fact was medically proven/concrete. Much like her head wound. JBR sustained a cranial fracture on the right side of her skull; JBR had been garroted, and JBR had been the victim of previous sexual abuse. In a case where there is so much speculation, I thought these facts were beyond doubt.

Also: the Nedra quote is one of the most disturbing things I've ever read! "A little bit molested"?!?!? What the actual f*ck? Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you: Grandmother of the YEAR!

20 years later, my heart still hurts for that poor baby.

My guess, Burke was molesting her and the parents knew, but viewed it as no big deal or they thought they handled it

I think he would have been in an institution getting help, maybe. It might not have been such an infamous case. Innocent folks wouldn't have been suspected and had their lives altered, LE and other folks working the case that got fired or quit due to the politics of the case wouldn't have had their lives altered... friends and other members of the family wouldn't have had their lives altered as extremely.

He's free to live his life. He went to college...I think he married (pretty blonde, maybe just his girlfriend)...free to have kids, maybe daughters...

In that way, you can almost see how initiating a cover-up was in John's best interest, even if he wasn't the one abusing Jonbenet.

I recall reading one of the books I believe that when Burke was in school in Atlanta he was taking a music class and playing an instrument and he got extremely upset about it and they couldn't quiet him down and his parents had to come up there.
