Websleuths is changing our colors

What I found also bad was when a word would simply be deleted. Other times it was subbed with *Advertiser Censored* which is MUCH preferable than deleting the word. At least with *Ad Cens* you know there's a word missing, but if the word just disappears, it can change what your sentence says. Sometimes it ends up not making sense. I'd love for ALL the censored words to be *Ad Cens* and not deleted so you can't tell.

<modsnip: Off topic in this thread>

PS - Can we get "p o r n" removed as a bad word since a fair amount of cases here have people arrested for child 'p o r n'? Take Maddie Soto's case for example. Curious Me's example is a good one too. It's in the title, so... lol

That's really weird. What is happening. Lol.

Also noticed that some of the earlier threads have many 🤬🤬🤬🤬, like the original text has dropped and replaced with 🤬 by mistake.
So that's what's happened. I've been confused by that. I thought it meant the poster was especially angry but then I started noticing it wasn't making sense in the context.

Between this and the hard-to-see topic titles, it's getting more challenging to comprehend here!
I'd REALLY like censored words to go back to saying *Advertiser censored* (and hopefully some words are no longer simply being deleted in their entirety like I've noticed a few times in the past). I'd like 100% of them to say *Advertiser censored*. Another reason I ask this is because as rleigh said, it can be confusing because the 🤬 symbol has been provided to all of use to use as we feel throughout posts. Like how I feel about this issue ----> 🤬

Here is an example of a word that's been censored. At first I thought the OP was just super mad. I counted emojis and determined that they had typed p orn ography. One emoji for each letter. So, if you simply *Advertiser censored* something, people aren't gonna count emoji's to try to figure out what word was used like I just did. lol

Example:

This is a total nit but I did want to point it out in the event the Similar threads section could be made more useful.

The recommendations below are at the bottom of the BK thread #102. It's the previous 4 closed threads (98-101) and #89 thrown in. For me, I'd prefer to see similar threads that aren't previously closed threads of the same thread. You know, show me something actually similar that's not the same case as I might have missed a case I'd be interested in. Also, we don't really need those links to past closed threads as ALL of them, from #1 on are listed on the first page of every new thread created.

This is going to give snarling faced emoji results. I'm going to use words that may be censored, or some maybe not. Here we go--
🤬🤬🤬 🤬🤬🤬🤬 🤬🤬🤬🤬 sex 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Told ya. lol

Well, I kinda figured it out myself. lol Can you guess the words? At least, I can still type sex, sexy, sexual. I wonder if I can use molested. There's no telling what is considered inappropriate, but this is all about crime sleuthing and we use such words often.

Also, why do I have to confirm 'like'? Another step? I ONLY now have
'like ', no other options. This is bad on my eyes, quickly, I noticed..I will have to play around or just not stay.
I can also share to all social media with a click on the bottom as well, not noticed if that was there previously, whatever I comment on and with who, seems odd.

The white withthe blue def instantly hurt my vision. I am now fine as I switched to black orange again. NO problems.
I don't know if anything has changed since this thread was posted but back then we were told that the orange/black will not be available in the future.

It wasn't a WS decision it has something to do with the websites hardware....IIRC

Have you tried posting words that may be questionable on a DM thread?

I have macular degeneration, andl also found the blue and white hard to see, so I switched back to the orange/black. I hope it will continue to be available in the future.
