Websleuths is changing our colors

I, for one, will miss the Halloween colors. However, the blue is a much calmer color and the shade is really nice. I could immediately feel a difference when looking at pages. Just experimenting. Cleaner, more compact looking, less harsh.

I do note that the stats are not to the left as they are in Orange/black. By Design?

The unread threads are bold, while those that have been read are not. Black-Orange makes them different colors. I can do that if enough people prefer.

It's SO much more obvious, IMO, when scanning for unread to see a real difference with bright Blue bold for unread, versus a slight difference with the same color font with one being a little less as bright.

Thank you for being open to making some changes. That's really appreciated.

This is a nit... any chance the WS tab image can be changed? I SS'ed 3 of my bazillion tabs... the old WS, Google, and lastly that tiny whatever it is is the new WS "logo" (or whatever those images on tabs are called). Having a larger image to find which tab I might want would be much better. or I suppose I could always just aim for the tab with a speck. lol

Oh, thank you so much for the dark version. So much easier on the eyes. I'd also be perfectly ok with a slightly larger font.

Oh gosh... I hate to be Negative Nellie, especially when everyone else apparently loves it, but the text on the new WS is fainter and looks grey vs black of the current font (where it isn't blue. Duh. lol).

I find gray hard to read because it's fainter in intensity than black text. It's like the current site has bolded font, and the new is unbolded. Even the blue is faded versus what we see now. I'm not sure how I'll fix that when the site moves over to the new look. Do you know of a way for folks to do that on our end?

I find the light/blue background more soothing than the orange. However, I find the text much harder to read for some reason. Was it bold before or just higher contrast colors? I can only get through about one page before my eyes are too fatigued to continue.

I agree Gemmie. Gray text seems to be in style but it’s hard on old eyes. And most of us are vintage. Please make the font as dark and sharp as possible.

As someone who's used dark mode on everything I can since about 2003, I'm in love with this new colour scheme. Much better for my eyes and brain (autism, ADHD, occasional migraine).

Love the cool blue/teal accents, but that's just because I love cooler colours.
