Websleuths is changing our colors

I agree Gemmie. Gray text seems to be in style but it’s hard on old eyes. And most of us are vintage. :) Please make the font as dark and sharp as possible.
It's a fad that needs to GO AWAY IMO. lol I've hated it since the first time I ran across it out on the internet. There were times I've had to highlight the text with my mouse just be be able to read something. :(

I'm with @Lilibet! Dark and sharp. Please. 🙏

Black text doesnt show well in dark mode. Is there a way to invert the color of dark text in dark mode, and vice versa with light mode?

It required clicking on a link near the bottom of the page that says “Websleuths 2025.”
It's a toggle. It will say whatever style you're currently on.

Also, that little thingiemabob at the very right of "Websleuths 2025" allows you to switch between Light and Dark modes by clicking on it.

The unread threads are bold, while those that have been read are not. Black-Orange makes them different colors. I can do that if enough people prefer.

Hey fraize, I'm going to assume you help out with the coding here--
I think I may have found the error for not being able to view reaction scores on the left side profiles with the new theme --

"html-attribute-name">itemprop</span>=3D"<span class=3D"html-attribute-valu=e">

VS

"html-attribute=-name">itemprop</span>=3D"<span class=3D"html-attribute-value">

When will the color changeover be completed? When I'm signed in, I have the new blue page, but when I sign out, the page returns to orange/black.

Notice there is some weird black and black text with the new blue in some peoples posts. Dunno why.
I think there are a few people who have put specific-font-colors into their signature blocks. Doing that will definitely clash with the dark theme.

As a rule, when designing the user-experience of an application, you should never use colors outside of your underlying theme unless you're explicitly using color to provide meaning. If you do, and you want to change the underlying theme, you're going to encounter problems like black-text-on-black-background.

The theme is smart enough to know that if you're using a dark background, you need to use a light font. BUT, if you use the formatting-bar to change the color of your text, you risk making your text unreadable if the theme ever changes.

You might never see this... or see this!

Thanks, but I don't see that attribute anywhere in code, and I can see reaction scores just fine. What are you seeing? Do you have any browser-extensions that could be causing problems?
