Websleuths Recognized By Media

  • #81
The case that is the topic of a book that will feature tidbits from Websleuths is............

THE TARA GRANT CASE.

The Tara Grant book is a true-crime account of the Tara Grant murder, written by the lead reporter for The Detroit News on the case, (George Hunterit) along with a fellow editor, (Melissa Preddy) and includes never-published behind-the-scenes details of the investigation, the trial and the participants in the case.

Hopefully the book will be out in the fall.

In the meantime the book's authors are reading here and hope to join in the discussion when the book's release date comes closer.

Again, Ms. Preddy was so impressed with your work on this case.

Let me say I don't believe that WS is going to be a major part of the book but the site will be mentioned in connection with the case. To what extent I am not sure.

I didn't do a darn thing with the case and I let Ms. Preddy know. I told her basically the beauty of WS is that people bring the cases to the forum with the almost certain guarantee that people will jump in and get involved.

This is just an amazing place.

If I gave bad clues I apologize. To the villagers that want to burn down my castle, please leave your torches at home and I promise next time I give clues to something I will do a better job. :chicken: :)

Oh thank you Tricia. I have to do some research now.
ETA: I think it is great that internet sleuthing sites are starting to get the recognition they deserve. Just so happens that WS is one of the best ones :)

I was right and it was my first guess, too! Woohoo! :)

Stephen Grant! Told you someone should write a book about him! The confession alone is quite disturbing. Difficult to read, but it gives insight to how his mind perceived things. It will be an excellent book!

I'm just gonna start copying and pasting "Way to go SS, you were right again!" lol.

I hope that the writers delve deeply into the dysfunctional family named "Grant" because he doesn't seem to be the only one with the sociopathic nature. His sister is similarily afflicted IMO.

Tricia, I think you gave great clues!

OhMyGosh!

I had completely forgotten about this case. Near the end of the investigation I had a personal family loss and completely forgot about Tara. :(

Just reread the entire thread. OhMyGosh! It brought tears to my eyes and renewed the horror I felt when we discovered what he'd done. NOT just that he killed her, but afterwards.

I remember now, I had horrible dreams about this case. I think I saw where he's going to court now. I'll have to keep track.

Tricia, you didn't give wrong clues. Actually, it fit right into what you said. It was his bizarre actions. True that!

Don't worry, I won't be headin' over to your house with a torch! You done good!

:)

PS........This SHOULD make a good book! I know I'll buy it!...fran

LOL Nothing like tooting my own horn, eh?! I should get a signed copy of the book for that!! (hint...hint)

Thank you Tricia for keeping it real! Thanks for letting us know who the topic of the book is. I was trying to figure it out, to no avail. :blowkiss:

I never kept up with the Tara Grant story.

Oh, that's a great case (and horribly sad) for a book. I can't wait to read it!

Tricia,

Thanks for coming back and letting us know which case it was!
That should be a very interesting book, too.
