Irks me no end.

That's one trial I won't be following. I don't think I'd survive it, regardless of the verdict. The process alone! As the mother of a black teen son...my head would explode.

I am still on the Travis Alexander thread, right? What does Trayvon Martin have to do with JA or TA?

Only the next of kin has the right to file a Wrongful Death suit. Since Travis had no wife or children and no parents either the next of kin is probably considered to be the eldest sister.

Doesn't matter anyway since the award if the suit is won is money, and Jodi has none. A Wrongful Death suit in this case just doesn't make sense since there is no money to be won.

It would make sense if Arias is acquitted. She could write a book or find other ways to make money. If she is convicted, then no, probably not.

IMO ALV is taking this personally because her motive for agreeing to testify for the DT was deeper than JA.

She has a new book coming out, someone up thread posted something about ALV wanting to testify in a high profile trial, etc.

Now she's in deeper than ever imagined. She must stick to her (absurd) script or risk destroying her career. Her career may very well be over anyway, but the only thing she can do now is stick to that script.

I haven't posted much on this case but watch the trial, have viewed crime scene pics, etc...

but I'm curious...

it does not appear that there is much blood spatter evidence in the hallway from the bathroom until the large stain at the end of the hallway on the wall and on the floor.

how did Travis manage to not be attacked throughout the hall? I mean, what could Arias have been doing at that time?

it's just puzzling to me

He is who he is. That's his normal tone of voice in the courtroom. He's not going to change it. She was trying to annoy him......... and she enjoyed it.

I don't think she has enjoyed much in the last ten years. :silenced:

I can only bash the mothers AFTER they have been shown/proven to be just as big of scumbags as their daughters. The only thing different is that they didn't murder anyone. I felt that Cindy Anthony just slapped little Kaylee in the face by supporting her killer. I have daughters, and grandchildren. And, if any of them ever hurt my grandchild, I would be there for the victim (my grandchild) no matter that the perp was my own child.

That's a really significant difference. Can't just wave that one away.

There was just a settlement in that case and someone posted it. Sorry, you're on the right thread. I was posting off topic...

I see ALV being so arrogant and smug that she thought she would be the one to get Battered Women's Syndrome in the DHS, as her book is timed to come out in April with its 3rd edition....good luck with that.....

I think most men will seen right through her....a feminist with a capital F.

Not if the Son of Sam Law is in effect in AZ which I think we've determined, it is.

Every time she opens her mouth...I hear a toilet flush.....she flushed away any credibility she ever had and lost the respect of real victims of domestic violence.

I just heard on news tonight that the Travone Martin family successfully won a wrongful death on the home owners 🤬🤬🤬. where Travone was killed ??

His parents got what they wanted all along.

Now if we can just get a fair trial for Zimmerman...

The Arias case makes a great comparison with a real situation of self defense as presented by the Zimmerman case.

In real self defense situations the victim who is forced into lethal self defense calls the police and co-operates fully, they often have real injuries and are at the scene when police arrive ...because the REAL THREAT they faced is no longer a threat.

They express true sorrow that things had to go to such an extreme.

So different from how Jodi has acted

I may be wrong, but I thought the Son of Sam Law was only in effect for people who are convicted of the crime in question? Does is also apply if one is acquitted? Doesn't seem fair that someone might be wrongly accused, acquitted, then forbidden to tell their story for money?

The point in a wrongful death suit would be to prevent JA from keeping any money from any source in the future. She could come into money from splitting a lottery ticket with her mother e.g. Just sayin..

There was blood all over the hallway. She dragged him through it. It's splattered up the walls 12" iirc. IMO he was being stabbed in the back and head as he crawled down that hallway.

Stabbing him in the back as he tried to get down the hallway?

I agree - She used the word "body-slammed" because she has heard TA use that word because he was a wrestler in HS. TA also had parties with his buddies with this new major league. The word "body-slammed" is much more traumatic and "ABUSIVE".....Remember, this JA is a story teller like someone else we know.....

Have you noticed that almost always when JA says "he did whatever" it's what she did?

Or he said whatever, it's what she said?

She said she deleted the pictures from that camera. I take that to mean it was Travis who deleted the pictures after he found out she had surruptiously taken them.
