The last thing I want to say about J No 5 is that even if she wrote a lot of notes in court, they would have had to have been left there. Unless she stuffed them down her pants ala JA. There's nothing to say J No5 hadn't been going home in the evening and writing more notes to keep things in her memory is there?

My take on Courtroom laughter is it is nothing more than tension reduction. I gotta say it was pretty funny :floorlaugh: After days and days of boring testiphony I'm sure it was just a moment. IMO

The "Are you mad at me" bit wasn't funny imo, but the whole Snow White bit was hilarious, but in the Disney version there was no king. Snow White was living alone with her evil stepmom, i.e. ALV's ideal - two women living together with no patriarch in sight.

The more I read from her journals, the more convinced I am that she rewrote them before her arrest, at least the 2008 pages.

The flow is not natural to me; the writing out in full of places and names, where one would normally use short forms, nicknames or initials. It's just too convoluted and self-serving.

Reading those few entries when the news broke that Travis was dead made my stomach turn; her cold and calculating cover-up. No real emotion whatsoever. I had tears by the time I finished reading those pages.

I think that many people will form the opinion that the 2008 journal was fabricated. It is difficult to separate the curiosity aspect from the trial aspect, and so I wonder how far JM can go with certain things. If the integrity of the journals is successfully challenged, the whole house of cards falls for the defense team.

My take on the courtroom laughter was completely different. I didn't take those that laughed as ALV's followers at all. And, IMO those laughing weren't laughing at her obviously rehearsed and canned response(s) created in an "attempt" to throw JM off his game. It backfired BIG TIME. With only 30 minutes left for the court day, everyone in that courtroom was on the edge of their seats. JM was in rare form and sternly asking for "yes" or "no" answers. The tension of his cross had the public cheering inside as someone was FINALLY able to take down this fraud of an expert. They were hanging on every angry question by JM.... when ALV asked her "planned" question. The laughter (however inappropriate it was) IMO was in support of the prosecution...and was more like a "he!! yeah he's mad...he's mad that anyone would sit up there and lie for a murderer".

Not saying one is right or wrong. This is just my take, and I do like reading how others view interchanges like this

Well, she did walk out with the two women (that I saw) that laughed. No one around them did, other than the mitigation chick. So that's why I assumed they were supporters.

I had a slight concern about this juror before any of this happened. I don't know why but I didn't allow myself to dwell on foolish worries.

If she is pro-Defense then I'll thank the heavens above that she got off. 'Irony would be rich' for the Defense though.

We'll find out soon enough!

I'm surprised some don't see the clear irony in how Juror 5 puts out a statement saying to respect her privacy, yet does something very un-private like appear in the gallery a day or two after getting booted from the jury, knowing full well there will be camera's there to snap her picture. This is like Tiger Woods/Lindsey Vonn announcing their relationship on facebook, yet then saying 'respect our privacy'.

How else would you tell the press, please no questions, don't approach? J5 is free to go the market, the bank, the mall, any public place she cares to go now. She no longer has to hide out as she did as a juror. Imagine how refreshing that must feel to her. The courtroom is a public place. She is entitled to go just the same as anyone else is. It's her right. Why would she want to continue to hide? jmo

Those ladies were not in support of the state, they waited around the gallery talking to the mitigation specialist, while the rest of the court observers left.

They then proceeded to both put their arms around the defense witness ALV and walk out of the courtroom.

Then I take it you didn't see the photos of the laughers after court was over.

Not only are they ALV supporters, but both of this two women laughers walked arm and arm around their friend ALV on their way out and were caught on camera doing so.

I think it was a very immature thing to do. The appropriate response would have been shock at the tension she was helping to foster - shock, followed by silence.

In school they taught us that those who laughed during inappropriate situations were doing so because they are insecure, immature and socially inept and they were overcompensating for their feelings of insecurity in not knowing the proper social queues/filters that other people already have mastered.

And if you check out some of the pictures you can see one of the women had her arm around ALV's shoulder as if she was 1/2 hugging her. So they are either friends or have been to her lectures and know her well enough to get into her personal space.

I feel like the reason JM used Snow White to talk about is to point out that both Snow White and JA's story are fairy tales and the expert has called both of them domestic violence. Basically, that she can't tell the difference from a lie (fairy tale) and the truth. I could be wrong but that is what I got out of it. He will probably surprise me with a really good one, though.

Anything before that is suspect and hard to believe would be accepted as the truth as written by JA.
