CDs don't shatter easily. We have used them as frisbees for hours. If you bend one it will shatter but it takes a lot of force and you are risking injury because when they break..shrapnel flies everywhere.

Psychopaths have a habit of dropping twisted hints as a way to demonstrate to themselves how superior they are to the rest of us dummies.

After watching ALV testify I now know who coached JA in her testifying demeanor because she is using the same psychological ploys as JA did, evasive, pretense of not understanding, disrespect for the court, minutia for details and smirking at the jury.

:banghead:
Not to mention, IIRC LaV on direct said she works with attorneys on how to cross expert witnesses. She believes she knows it all and can outsmart Juan; this will be her downfall.

Whoa Nellie! Now I'm thinking back to the struggle over that one journal entry where she initialed off but then the DT flipped because it was not the entire day. Did Jodi make a mistake copying and put the initials in the wrong place?

Hmmm....that sparked a memory with me too....:what:
I get frustrated we will prolly never know everything....but as long as justice is served, I guess I can put my curiosity aside (no jodi "morbid curiosity " quotes please lol :)

AS much as I would TOTALLY hope that Arias would get the Death Penalty, I just can't see all those men on that Jury going through with it. I want her to get Death, but I bet she gets Life instead which is WRONG.

Why exactly do you think the men wouldn't go through with it? Just curious as to your theory dear =)

I think the men may hate her the most. JMO.

I have no idea if this is true or not but I just read on twitter that Dr. Phil is paying for Sandra Arias' expenses of attending JAs trial in exchange for her daily notes. Has anyone heard that?

I don't know where you read that, but I don't believe that for a second. Dr. Phil, although I'm not big fan, would NEVER do something like that ... JMO

It would be an atrocity. Assuming, because Travis' family consists of siblings only, that there was never a wrongful death lawsuit filed against JA?

I could be totally wrong but I think that whoever constitutes TA's estate would be able to file a wrongful death suit. Could be family, friends, trustees, whomever managed/controls the estate of the deceased.

Who cares about the Sociopath Next Door? What about the sociopath living under your roof or sleeping in your bed?!!

Well, in fairness, I suppose the purpose of the book was a useful one, her thesis, iirc, was basically that we should move away from the idea that psychopathy is necessarily associated with violence. This, per se, is a valid point, but, by the time it came my way, I didn't associate psychopathy with violence so it wasn't exactly mind blowing to me.

Not in AZ, it has the Son of Sam legislation.:rocker:

There are ways around 'Son of Sam' Laws. For instance saying something is from the perspective of a Family member, but the convict is passing info to them. Jodi's Mother is not charged with anything, but if the Dr Phil thing is true, she could be passing info from Jodi.

Oy, the journals!

I want JM to ask ALV that question: "you don't even know when these journal entries were written, do you?"

Force her to agree that just because an entry says 'April 9, 2008', that doesn't prove it was written then.

I happen to have a photocopy of an original handwritten note from ALV which is dated June 1, 2008, where she was hoping for a juicy murder case where she could finally get national exposure as an expert with great credentials. I know it's around here somewhere ...

:fence:

Can't you be charged or at least investigated for a YouTube video like that?

I think Yes, at the very least something like criminal mischief. On the other end of the spectrum some threat with intent to do great bodily harm or death...maybe a few things.

and he is a Prosecutor some maybe more things

I'm agreeing with you. There's a lot of hay to make out of those journals. I can't wait!

I'm so looking forward to Monday.

I'm feeling a "headache" coming on Monday...lol j/k I have been secretly wishing I was a stay at home mom since January..hehe This single mom has no choice but to get her booty to work and then try to catch up with you fine folks and your comments when I get home...TY all btw =D YOU ALL :rocker: !!

If she was REALLY smart, pretty much everything about this murder would have gone down differently except the dying of the hair.

All I'm gonna address is this - she would have destroyed all the journals, computers, cell phones; put them wherever the gun & knife are.

I'm not even going to touch the rest of the giant laundry list of stupid...

Could be. All I can recall are spouses, parents and on behalf of children.

MOO

I agree. She looked really proud of herself, with those big grins to the DT table and the gallery. I think she believes she 'won' that exchange, and I hope she comes back feeling the same level of confidence.

That whole "Snow White' exchange was just a decoy. Juan always opens up his cross by throwing a curve ball and getting aggressive over something fairly unimportant. He opened his cross with Jodi by reminding her she called her lil sister a dummy. And he opened his cross with Samuels by pasting the Websters definition of Compassion on the wall. LOL

Everyone was all upset about both of those opening topics---accusing Juan of being clueless and lost in the weeds. He was neither of those things. He purposely dragged those witnesses into the weeds so he could break them down a bit. He got them all riled up and all and upset. Then after they are tired and confused, he comes at them with the meat and potatoes. I LOVE his approach. I cannot wait until Monday morning.

Patience is waiting in a hurry. I think you've got it right.

Maybe they are afraid that ALV will consider them as "abusers"?

The joke's on them however ... she already considers them as "abusers" because they are men!

My last post for the night, I swear.... :)

When I lived with the 'man with NPD', he would always be challenging and starting arguments with me. One day I asked him, when were not arguing, if he didn't like the peace and harmony better than the stress and fighting. He said to me, "No, I like it when you are pi**ed off at me. Then I know that I have gotten to you and you will stew about it and me all day long.... Bad attention is just as good as good attention." And he smiled.
BINGO. Every now and then a sociopath tells you the God's honest truth, embedded although it may be.
JA was in heaven even when TA was irate at her. That meant she was on his mind and consuming his emotions, even if it was hatred.
Sick sick thing that she is.

As much as I also anticipate more cross-examination from Juan...I would like two days off from work (tomorrow and Sunday) to relax and catch up on some missed testimony.

OK??!!

:silly:
