Tomorrow being Monday right lol? I'm inclined to agree. I think he'll focus on discrediting the abuse claim and reminding the jury that ALV's subjective opinion has never been substantiated with objective proof. It might have been effective for him to have said, your honor I have nothing more for this witness right after her eye roll to the jury followed by the 'Are you angry with me Mr Martinez' comment then a proud smirk to her buddies in the gallery. JW can only re-direct on what's brought up in cross examination. NEXT lol.

And by being quick and efficient, reminding the jury exactly who is wasting all their time. I was reviewing youtube videos and realized the State only took NINE days for its case in chief! And we're on day ___ (??) of defense case...

I saw one of Travis's roommates do an interview and he stated that HE had helped Travis pick out the camera.

Yea was just thinking the same. It was Zach Billings in the Flores report. Said he was a photography and Travis asked him what he recommended. I think its page 6 or 7 on the Flores report.

A couple of points...
This may be OT, but as the father of a young girl, I have seen nearly every single animated Disney movie and I have noticed a common thread that runs through nearly every single one of them: the mother of the main character is either 1. Dead, or 2. A character who dies during the movie. From Bambi to Princess and the Frog, this holds true. I can't figure out why and I wonder if it is supposed to raise questions within the young viewer. My little girl, normally very inquisitive, has not noticed and/or asked about this. Again, probably OT, but ever since Thursday's cross, I can't help but wonder if/how this could tie in.

Also, I am noticing a lot of JA supporters bashing J Mart for his short stature. It's an obvious grasp at straws, yet I wonder how ALV classifies such behavior? Would she consider it abusive? If I can say one thing about J Mart's size, it would be that it only sticks out to me when I notice millions of people taller than him are actually looking up to him.

As always, thoughts and prayers are with the Alexander family.

Lots of orphaned protagonists in children's literature, Dorothy in OZ and Harry Potter for example. In fairytales it was a useful device for getting him/her to leave home and seek their fortunes. After Walt Disney's Snow White made him rich, he bought his parents a lovely home. His mother died of monoxide poisoning from a faulty furnace, so motherlessness may have resonated with him in a special way.

I Can't believe she talks like this is all true??? (ALV)

Ok, off to work... geez, good thing, because I'd need to calm down listening to that over the weekend!

I was just rewatching some of her direct examination, and she says very confidently, that Jodi was just so uncomfortable with the relationship 'moving so fast.' :what:

Did she listen to Jodi on the sex tape?

Also, this girl moved out of her home at 17 and in with a vampire fanatic. She has never ever lived without a man by her side. She has continuously gone from one partner to the next, immediately. So why would she all of a sudden be shy about having sex with a guy?

And that night that ALV refers to, where she says TS 'snuck into' the killers room---Jodi agreed to come to that home and sleep over so she could hang out with Travis. Once a girl agrees to have a sleepover in another town, isn't she sending the message that there is a possibility of some mutual sexual contact?

ALV also says very adamantly that there was NOTHING to indicate Jodi ever being jealous. What about that long passage where she complains about ALL of her past lovers cheating on her and how painful that is? Doesn't that equate to feelings of jealousy?

I know I'd be going bonkers if I was on that jury. I'd probably do something to get myself kicked off. I can only tolerate so much BS. But then again maybe I'd put up with it to be sure that she was found guilty. Perhaps the jurors are dealing with the same dilemma.

Gloomy said - EEEEEEWWW! Arias and Nurmi...:gag:

And the laughing ladies! Alyce just put her arm around one of them and walked out of court...

__________________

Was she a JA supporter??? If so, that's grounds for impeachment! I'm so far behind, at a family event, trying to catch up.

This is what I was talking about... the camera was still on after court ended. I don't know who the ladies were but they seemed to know Alyce. Maybe someone else knows who they are?

I just have to add that I adore Juan's passion for justice in this case, and with any other witness, including Jodi herself, I had absolutely no problem with his pit bull style of cross.

However, with this witness, I feel he needs to tone it down, keep the questions specific to Jodi as the perpetrator of violence, and not get lost in the muck.

Disagree. He got under her skin so fast! :great:
The Jury needs to see the petulant way she behaves when her opinion
is challenged. For a self titled expert she gets defensive about her work
a touch too quickly.. She claims to know so much about domestic violence yet she can't spot a sociopath and malingerer when she meets one..?

Hey peeps, been off for a few days.

However, I was thinking perhaps Jodi put the camera in the washer in the hopes it would be discovered so Travis could be tarnished?

Showing her face? I don't think so. It took specialized software to recover the deleted images.

Missed you! Welcome back! :)

My ex remarried a woman who already had a son. He and his girlfriend had a fight. She stabbed him near his heart, he got the knife from her and stabbed her 15 times(she passed away). He claimed self defense. He got I think 15 yrs. because the prosecuter pointed out once he got the knife away from her he was no longer in danger.

1.When she got away from Travis and was running down the hall IMO an innocent person would have run downstairs and out the door.

2.Why would Jodi think Travis hadn't moved the gun or hadn't unloaded it?I don't believe he had one.

3. Why didn't she just disable him, like shoot him in the knee?

I think the jury will ask themselves the same questions.

She said something strange during the police interrogation--I can't remember what it is exactly--but it led me to think that maybe she had taken the afternoon nude pictures with her camera, and then put that sim card into his camera.

Is such a thing possible?

But, I can't for the life of me figure out why she would do that.

IMO

My take on that was she was stretching for a way that these pictures could have been taken at a different time.

Her logic: I haven't been to AZ since April. We took the pictures then with my camera, but swapped my SIM card onto his camera.

Problem is she didn't known if the cameras used the same type of card. And one other minor detail; when she left AZ she was still a blonde, but in the pix she's a brunette.

Does she get extra credit for trying? :floorlaugh:

Ok, question:
All those journal entries seem added after he died. How did she get acess to add so much into them.ndid the defence help her if so its wrong because its lies and more lies and shouldn't be allowed.

To me, it seems the journal entries are slanted to make her look innocent and Travis look guilty. I might be reading too much into them, but she is so calculated. I'm only recently catching up, but is it possible or probable that she would have considered killing him as early as April? She could have started making entries that would give her cover.

After all, we know, from the fake phone call after the murder, etc., that she had it in her head to make herself look innocent in any way possible. She loves all this planning and drama and play-acting, and TA, sadly, was, at best, secondary to the production of "The Jodi Show." And when he made her mad enough, his role was eliminated - literally.

She gets mad AND she gets even. A true sociopath, with, as been pointed out, several borderline characteristics.

I was interested in reading, but I received an error message: Sorry, the page you were looking for in this blog does not exist. :(

If you go to the home page there is a menu bar - it's the April Jodi arias link. Holy yikes. A compelling read.

So she took the time to manually delete the photos before putting it in the washer?

I am 37 years old and I have no memory of EVER cutting my hands on glass. I have gotten cuts on my feet from broken glass many times. I have cut my hands with all sorts of things - like random plastic things & zippers (things I never thought would cut me) - and of course knives, cans and paper.

Cutting your hand on glass---remember who else that happened to? OJ!

They should first ask themselves - How would her stabbing him so many times in the back be part of self-defense?

She didn't do that. The EXIF info on the memory card shows all information about each shot, including the camera used. All the photos were taken with TA's camera.

Yes she deleted them all. So much for her computer knowledge, eh..

Unfortunately the PhD would not have helped her. It is not ignorance but narcissism that drives her to do what she does.

All her behaviour and speech suggest to me that LaViolette is a fanatic. If she were a bit brighter she would have a cult following. Her delivery of concepts is glib. She has fantastic social intelligence, really a genius at making herself look warm and caring and passionate about a cause, and folksy and innocuous. Her image (which is all she's really got) has served her well. She has enjoyed being a big fish in a little pond where professional scrutiny seems a bit more laissez faire and she can, godlike, spread her word unchallenged.

As a minnow in a giant pond of rigor she is a failure. JM took care of that by unmasking her.

Or, as usual, the hints of truth weave into her lies. Travis deleted them?

So she took the time to manually delete the photos before putting it in the washer?
