Her putting a down payment on a $249,000.00 house on a salary of maybe $1500 per month is nearly impossible. Her work money would pay her car payment maybe, and some living. It's virtually impossible at that age she would put together a years salary and put it down on a home

So please reconsider my "mule" theory:seeya:

That says a lot for her basic dysfunction, IMO. Under the best circumstances she was bound to have been questioned extensively.

Right.. and in typical "guilty party" fashion, she started to call the lead Detective right away, then kept calling him.

WHO does that! Let his family call, that's what family does and the Detective works with a victims family. You sometimes have a spokesperson if you're a celebrity :) or if you are worth a ton of money, a celebrity type spokesperson will find their way to your front door. (Or tv person that could profit off of it) I don't fully blame them, they are sometimes offering a family a great deal of money to get their foot in the door.

I must say, I don't mind that, if someone needs helps and there is an open checkbook. As icky as it can be in someones time of need. I would never judge on that item.

So Jodi was just too eager for info, she looked so guilty and then of course the giant bloody handprint and all her self portrait photos she took...

My son would have gladly helped you for any of those...especially a homework pass! (he's 7)

Shoot I'd willingly do it if someone would pay me!

Where do you live? Maybe we can get your son here?

Falsity has presented zero evidence, outside her own statement, that she held a reasonable fear Travis was about to use unlawful or deadly force against her in the immediate moment. Since she was in his dwelling, there is no presumption favoring her as there would have been in her own home. She has raised the specter of physical disparity in allusions to his fitness, his past wrestling, and four stories about his violence toward her in 2007 & 2008. All of these "justifications" are without record, even in her writings, except what has come from her own mouth. How facile that mouth at filling a crock! But her team continues to dip into it. For that reason, it will be very important to keep demolishing her output, past and present.

Not to mention all that crap she wrote about "LOANING" travis allll that money. She was a waitress, and one time maid ~ sure she was lending Travis money!! In the journal entry dated February 1, 2008 Jodi said that Travis screamed at her and said "he just wanted to buy a gun, put it to his head and pull the trigger." Then while testifying in court she says something about she saw TA load the gun in "December" (DETAILS, always details), because she remembered all the sudden she had to say the gun MIGHT have been loaded. Not that this is even true, but this is just more proof that Travis didn't own a gun. Oh the lies in the web that we weave.
She just keeps on getting her stories/lies mixed up!

Good point on the money. Never have bought for a moment that she loaned him money. Other posters have mentioned that they thought any time she said that it actually means, "I paid Travis back money I owed him."

Another excellent case of the defense having no teeth. Can any of us believe they would have failed to prove that she loaned him money were they able to do so? There are banks, you know, and bank records -- surely with her prodigious memory alone, we ought to know the exact date and time of each loan, the currency involved, etcetera. Poppycock, say I.

:cow:

I was talking to my son (same age as Travis and also victim of DV) and in the middle of our conversation he said "feel my wrath" and asked him what it meant. He said he meant it as in unloading verbally on someone, but it could mean things. Strange to hear that phrase in real time.

ITA!! I was talking to my husband about that. I said that if my neurologist was called to the stand in my trial, he would answer questions with absolutely NO emotions--he would answer each question dispassionately and objectively. He would give his medical opinion regarding my migraines.

The fact that ALV reacted as if she was being personally attacked or challenged on every question JM posed. She was combative and unhelpful--the exact opposite of how she was as a defense witness. She also kept looking to the defense as if for help.

I'm praying that she changes her attitude on Monday. I hope she takes this more seriously and asks her friends in the gallery to refrain from outbursts.

For migraines, esp. with aura--look into Patent Foramen Ovale.

Alright... I'm heading out....:(

Dang....

Aww Anagrammy, I didn't mean for it to come out as I was making fun of people who have been abused. I found the little snippet of the vid they linked amusing is all. I DO NOT condone it, it was not meant to offend. I will refrain from commenting any longer. My sincere apologies.

No worries- anyone who watches that show knows Alice is not an abused woman, lol, I would say she was far better at verbally cutting Ralph off at the knees than he ever was at carrying through in his threats to send her to the moon. Lol, this was a very very typical marriage in the area of NY that I grew up in, and let me tell you, the woman wore the pants and the men were totally smitten. It just isn't politically correct in some people's eyes... Sigh... Don't let dissenting opinions make you stop posting, we all have the right to have our own opinions and they are respected here at WS.

I too was feeling sorry for the mother until I realized she cried exactly like Jodi..no tears..no kleenex.

It was a dumb move. I would bet good money that's her go to line in situations when she is confronted and she feels cornered. She was probably saving it for a more dramatic "moment" but Juan rattled her and forced her to waste a good shot.

No ALv he's not angry at YOU. He's angry for justice. He's angry because Travis can't be. So, quit with the snarky attitude. Professional, my azz.

The point is is that it does not matter what the prosecutor's feelings are.
So what if he's angry.
And why does she have to ask. Her vast psychological training & experience doesn't help her to detect anger?
Now all of a sudden she's interested in ascertaining info about people by asking them directly?

{This is just a rant and less of a reply so I don't know why I'm quoting you. You inspired me!}

Which ex-GF of Travis' had the shorter blond hair? Was Mimi the one with dark hair and glasses? Strange how Jodi suddenly changed to look more like Mimi, is she trying to manipulate again? Or just coincidence, cause it is hard to believe that with Jodi.

well speaking of mules...a recent eye opener recently on something I worked on. There was a transport system in place, was quite clever from Southern California on up to the Bay Area, 3 trips a week that would net about $25,000 each trip. Drugs.. Low level stuff, nothing like heroin. So the money came in to the tune of $75,000.00 a week.

Try to talk a few people making that money and splitting it, into getting a nice steady job with health ins.. at $15.00 per hour. (which a couple of them might wish they had done since they are in jail now) Although when questioned about would they do it again, if they got out.. the answer is actually yes, they just realize how they got caught.

Oh lord..

Yeah, I was watching I Love Lucy recently. Same dynamic. She was always spending HIS money and getting he was threatening her. She had to beg for every penny to run the household. In some of them, Ricky put her over the knee for a spanking.

According to Jodi's Family, who had never met Travis, Jodi claimed they were in love and on the path to marry.

And just how many times did we sit and laugh while Lucy outsmarted the very dim-witted Desi?
Just like the example of the Honeymooners, you can't get hung up in the mannerisms, the relationships were balanced, if anything, the power in both of these shows was with the women who were portrayed as able to outsmart their husbands every time.

Thank you all for your support. I am a fairly new member and only have a few comments that I posted. I usually just laugh to myself and click the thank button on posts. I was just shocked to see that one lil comment I made taken so far from how it was meant. Again, thank you WS. As always...YOU ALL ROCK MY FUZZY SOCKS!

Your note made me think of something. My kids borrow money from me. A lot of times I can't get it back so I let them clean my house in lieu of paying me. That way at least I get something. I wonder if that was the situation with Travis?

Of course, claiming that Travis saying "feel the wrath" meant physical violence, rather than words, is proof of his being physically abusive is assuming the very thing which it supposedly proves.

Then again, in Alyceland verbal abuse excuses a good knifing-by-girl, so all bases are covered.

I wonder if JA would loan me money. My daughter totalled her second car and is now asking me for a Mercedes, even if it's older, like a 2004. yeah. Right.
