In my mind, she was saying...you rejected me Travis...take this...and this...and this...and the hatred just fed her frenzy...

The bad thing is that I can see her frenzy. You are so right. jmo

It will be! So no worries, just that I like to do every week but for some reason it is not on search or my bookmark.

Try this one? http://www.blogtalkradio.com/search?q=websleuths-tricia-griffith

Again, if someone can push me to where the site is for the show as I like to do chat..........then again, only 7 minutes left, so pffffffffffffft :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Thanks ! Same here... I can catch a podcast at work tomorrow or in the bathtub..lol sometimes my family worries that I have drowned and knocks on the door to see if I am alright hehe

We're reaaalllly going off topic here :what:

Yes I assume they're all guilty unless and until I hear evidence to the contrary from their defense attorneys. (DNA etc.)

In this case, even if JA hadn't confessed to butchering Travis, I would still think her guilty of first degree murder because a) the prosecution's case is air tight and b) her DT is blowing smoke

All MOO. :rocker:

BBM: This of course is the opposite of our Jurisprudence system of innocent until proven guilty.

I have been here from the beginning and have read close to 100% of the posts. So I am going to say can someone give me a reason for the overkill in this case. I don't care what the two experts say, why was TA stabbed 27 times, his throat cut, and he was shot in the face. There is nothing anyone has said that explains this. This is the crux of the case and all the rest is fluff. This was a horrific murder and no one has explained the horror of it. This is what I want to know. jmo

Well you can say it was due to jealousy, her controlling nature, her narcissism, her sense of entitlement, or just say there's something very wrong in her brain. But I don't know that most people can "understand" it any more than they can understand why Diane Downs thought shooting her children was a ticket to a happy life with her boyfriend, or why Timothy McVeigh thought blowing up children was going to bring sympathy to his anti-government point. Their brains just don't work on the same wavelength.

We discussed this on the Psych pages. That's what actually is so awful about this: the brutality of her actions and she did kill TA 3x over in such a deranged, psychotic, and cruel way ...You'll see that it's not really an easy answer, and probably a question that has more than one "right" answer but we've come up with many theories.

If you are ever called for jury duty, please make that crystal clear to the judge during voir dire.

Oh, and one more thought -- remember when her Dad said in the interview that "she was gonna marry him"? I think she might have been telling family (and limited friends) that that was going to happen -- and after Travis' rant and the arranged trip to Cancun, that was obviously never going to occur. Not that she should have known sooner, mind you -- just that the fact that her Dad said that immediately suggests to me she had concocted quite a tale for everyone else (just like the fantasy journals) about the "relationship" and was about to have to face the music, including eating a lot of humble pie. I think her narcissism couldn't take that. Narcissistic rage, my bet.

I was rewatching Travis ex girlfriends testimony last night...I could see the hatred in Jodi's eyes for her...I could almost FEEL her thinking that she had one thing from Travis that Jodi could never achieve...his love and respect...the look in Jodi's eyes when she spoke of Travis wanting to marry her...she was a really cute girl too.

I always felt that she did this "over kill "thinking no one would ever think a woman -she-alone could ever have the evil murderous brutal and cruel strength etc to carry this off....and "without a lot of gloves" "that would be heinous"

I'm sorry if this has been brought up before, but I just took a look at a portly member of the DT's web site and I noticed that their bread n' butter is defending child molesters and sex offenders. Is there any truth to that, or is it possible that someone threw up a hoax site - as it does look like a cookie cutter template. TIA

Nurmi has defended sex offenders. Now before anyone jumps down my throat, I know JA is guilty as hell and will be found guilty. But, in the U.S. everyone is entitled to representation. I'd much rather live in a society that looked at everyone as innocent until proven guilty than the other way around.

BBM: This of course is the opposite of our Jurisprudence system of innocent until proven guilty.

That concept applies only to jurors and others involved in the trial of an accused.

I'm a member of the general public and there's no obligation, legal or otherwise, for me to assume anyone innocent until proven guilty.

If that were not the case, 99% of the posters on this site would be arrested because JA hasn't been convicted and almost everyone here believes her to be guilty of first degree murder. :seeya:

I do think the knife plus gun was because Little Miss Cleverboots thought it would point to a two-assailant crime. Probably something she saw on Dexter.

Wow Stephanie
didnt know they could object in closing.
Me thinks Wilmott will object even if its not in evidence! I've seen her do it time and time again.

Who will do the closing? Nurmi or wilmott? Oh my wonder, how many days she or he will drag it on. It's always like a breath of fresh air, when martinez takes over.

I wonder who will do it! Yes, I was checking around for how common objecting is during closing. What I gather is although you can do it, it's not usually done over and over. The "Closer" (most articles state) has carefully planned her or his closing so as not to allow for an opening to object, such as throwing out things not in Evidence.

For example if Mr Martinez got up and said "Ladies and gentleman, first let me apologize for the length of this trial and your AARP brochures are waiting for you in the Jury Room courtesy of Maricopa County. To the point, Jodi is a stalker who would hide in travis closet and he'd find here there and she would scare the crap out of him!"

Willmott would jump up. There was no talk about Jodi hiding in closets (However they would get to keep the AARP brochures)

Okeydokey, then. :what:

Hence, why Travis managed to knock the gun out of her hand. She then went for Plan B (knife).

Also, moo, the motive for murder was not the "Cancun trip". After reading Jodi's so-called journals it seems she is happy for Travis being with Mimi.

She wanted to reveal his "sins" to everyone and that was the beginning of the end.

I agree, ambidextrous or not, it would just be too easy for him to disarm her if she were trying to photograph him while wielding a weapon.
