Let me get this straight....after she went to Salinas, she went back to Pacific Grove? Looking at the timeline, it looks like she spent quite a bit of time in the Monterey area.

I am curious re: her bank statement. She was in Benecia and purchased something. Have we ever found out what she was doing in Benecia? BTW, if I was going to take Highway 101 to the Monterey area, I would probably go through Benecia, but she took I-5 and cut over to Monterey....she was all over the place.

I'm going to have to look up that statement again. I saw it a couple of weeks ago and also wondered about the Benicia visit -- but I thought the date was after the murder...?

Because the accomplice kept the gun and her bloody clothes as insurance?

Still wouldn't have stopped her from turning on "him/her" in return for a deal (life without, whatever). That person would be toast simply by virtue of having the items and her testimony that they were present. Not to mention that she would still claim that they fired the gun and wielded the knife. Even if they could have presented the clothing, it would be his/her word against JA's. Now, as to whether the state would have proffered a deal in any case, that's another story entirely. In any case, I still say that she would have spun on that person in a New York minute.

I live in the south and when it gets hot not every homeowner keeps their home at 65 degrees. And showers are usually warm but not hot and for the record there is no steam in my bathroom when the shower is going. Also with an open door water would be all over the place and I do not see Travis doing that in his new home or on a floor Jodi said is very slippery when it's wet. The last pictures with him sitting and you can't see his face you can see that the door is open there. Either way those are not poses for the camera that Jodi claims were inspired by a Calvin Klein photo shoot. Not even close. jmo

I live in the south. And when its summer, if I take a shower, there's still steam. And I take hot showers, no matter what time of the year it is. Even if you don't believe in condensation, you have to see that water will streak down the glass (because it's bouncing off his body) such that it wouldn't be easy to see Travis behind the glass.

Water would not go all over the place with the door open. If the shower head was pointed at the door, then maybe. Jodi said (can't believe I wrote that) she was a couple feet back to keep from getting the camera wet with splashes. On a couple of the pictures, we do see water droplets on the camera lens. In some of the pictures, she almost looks like she's in the shower with him, and not because of any zoom factor.

I'd love a theory of how she gets these straight on shots of him as if she's standing right in front of him from the angled hallway or closet without him seeing her.

I do speak it, but only conversationally. It's a toughy. ;)

I agree with TigerBalm, there's no reason to believe what this person puts forward via a facebook page if unsubstantiated by sources. Even if she ( I believe it's a 'she') did receive some sort of tip, until it's official, I wouldn't take it as gospel.

That said, I really do want to hear from MM. It feels like a whole other facet of this story is yet to be told.

Matt can't keep Jodi's lies straight.

That's what the sophomoric not-so-encrypted magazine caper was all about.

I don't believe he'd be much more credible than she.

"I don't know how old the dwarfs were Mr. Martinez, I just don't"
LOL

I'll bet she's Googled that question this weekend: "How old were the seven dwarfs?" :floorlaugh:

So you're saying that he had a de-humidifier in the shower?

The easiest answer to this is that the door was open and he allowed this pictures. She played into his new body transformation ego, and he bought it. Simple.
:seeya: I am not arguing... just I see it differently... no offense

Who takes pics in the shower to show off weight loss?
Bathing suit by the pool, in new slim clothes? Maybe outside somewhere?

He allegedly was looking at the photos and deciding which ones to keep or delete.

She didn't take ONE shot that showed his transformation.
She took pictures of his head arms shoulders and back.
And of him plopped in the stall floor.

Think any weight loss before and after...
Muscle magazines...
Even GQ...

A: they have "bottoms" on/are NOT nude

B: it's normally stomach shots, the new trim waist, the abs...
the bended arm to show the bicep... flex shots

I say they were take under duress.
Nothing "cool" or "ego" about them IMO

I guess he could be so naive but he was an MMA fan.
That is NOT how they "pose"

I can't buy what she tried to sell.

I've lived in AZ, only it's Tucson, not the Mesa area for almost 40 years. I don't remember our cold water being hot except outside when I turn on the hose, that's hot hot water for a minute or 3. I do tone down the hot water for my shower but we always have cold. Now Florida...ha that's another story. j/k Daily showerer op only.

I think it was after the murder.....I just can't read the date. What was she doing?

I love how Martinez referenced the original Bros. Grimm version and LV qualified by saying she used the Walt Disney version. :floorlaugh: That and the "catchy title"....

:floorlaugh:

Sorry I just had to say this: Who in the heck told her that was a "catchy" title? It's a stoopid title IMO. :floorlaugh:

More comments on ALV's talk...
Fairy tales tell women that they can't get what they want unless they suffer.
Do I need to type out why this is a very stupid assertion?

Then as Jodi "the photographer" were the pic qualities so bad? I mean a 5 year old can take better pics. :giggle:

I wasn't arguing with you. I only asked if you were saying he had a dehumidifier in the shower.

As far as what pictures she took, doesn't matter. It was a ruse to get him in the shower. Whether she actually showed them to him or not? I don't know. It's possible she took the pictures under duress, but if she did so, then it's likely that the shower door is open.

My points are the shower door is open and he knows she's photographing him. The transformation photo shoot was her ruse to get him there. Whether she actually was trying to do a real photo shoot and take real pictures, I do not know. Maybe the poses mattered not to her because she was plotting murder, not magazine publication.

Maybe so. Jodi said she was the photographer, not I.

:floorlaugh: Well, that is a good point. They do look like they were taken by a bouncing camera.

I disagree as well. :blushing:

Why? Because Travis had a PPL conference at 7pm and was getting ready.

I believe he kicked Jodi out and she snuck back in.

Maybe he did notice her there and she assured him the pic taking was "all for fun & games" until she pointed the gun at him. (the infamous face shot)

Matt can't keep Jodi's lies straight.

That's what the sophomoric not-so-encrypted magazine caper was all about.

I don't believe he'd be much more credible than she.

I don't doubt it, but it would hard to believe he would be as esteemed a liar as she is - and JM would potentially tear him apart. Anyway, undoubtedly the prosecution has weighed up the pros and cons of subpoenaing MM. Not my place to double guess it.

But as far as the magazine coding episode goes, I was confused as to why that wasn't pursued more intently by JM. He kind of left it hanging there. As far as I can recall he went through the process of decoding the magazine, and all the while Jodi looked quite happy with herself taking part in the exercise. But there wasn't any real dissection of the messages intent. Am I misremembering here?

I am intrigued as to why the meaning behind the coded message was not pursued.

Was it even verified that the coded message was intended for MM? Or was it only inferred?

I haven't jumped to the conclusion that Matt is the bad guy. Actually the contrary. I think he had some info that was helpful and gave it up. Not to save his own butt, he just told what he knew. He believed her at first but quickly figured it out. She was just trying to manipulate him. He may have had info he didn't even know would be helpful. If anyone is the bad guy, it is DB in my opinion. He is keeping her secrets.
