The first part of that "why don't you have him...in the woods" almost sounds like that was HER fantasy, IMO.

Sure sounds that way to me too!
Odd every boyfriend wanted anal sex... she tried... Butt didn't like it... Eyeroll.

What are the odds every man she was with wanted to?

BBM - I don't remember that - I only remember her saying that she dropped the knife on the tile floor in the bathroom and it made a "clang" noise. (She did testify that she is ambidextrious).

I don't recall her doing that in court either, but I do recall her describing a knife confrontation with the "woman" during her interrogation. And that sounds eerily as if she were Travis in the scenario, and the "woman" was her.

I shall withhold the details of how I obtained my expertise in this area. However; when it comes to the stalker/obsessed lover who kills, the recurring theme is they know deep down that they already are going to kill the person.

This is why it's premeditated. They already have it planned out in their mind and they have convinced themselves/justified it and they are going to do it.

They have a little 'play' or movie already in their head as to how things are going to play out and it's a script. They are 'loaded for bear' so to speak and NO MATTER WHAT the victim says or does, they are just waiting for that ONE WORD, that ONE GESTURE to allow themselves to 'go off'.

If any of you have ever been around a drug addict or alcoholic you will know what I mean when I say they are LOOKING FOR AN EXCUSE and often times will set the situation up so that they in fact FIND that excuse.

What's interesting is that from all my learning about this, the same mechanisms of 'addiction' seem to be in play here.

I was also told once by a so called expert, (although after watching ALV my trust in 'experts' is gone  ) that once the obsessed stalker has made up his or her mind to actually kill the object of their obsession it is VERY DIFFICULT to stop them.

The MAJOR parts of that is:

1). DENIAL by the victim and surrounding support systems that things are that serious. ("Oh I don't think he would REALLY do that!").

2). The laws regarding this type of situation have many loop holes and UNTIL that stalker has actually 'done something' the police seldom can step in. Often by then it's too late.

3). Failure to recognize the problem early on and take ACTIVE steps to correct the problem.

(Also I learned this last summer that when dealing with the non-violent stalker one of the most effective ways to STOP it is to turn the tables and START STALKING THEM). I do emphasize non-violent.

Great post! Thanks.

Sorry if this has been posted already.

This is good! :rocker:

After a 12 news story on prosecutor Juan Martinez and his fan base is entered into evidence on a prosecutorial-misconduct hearing during the Jodi Arias trial, 12 news explains why the story was really done.

My hatred for HLN continues to grow: :banghead:

:offtobed:

Wow, I thought that was already taken care of when Jean testified. I'm surprised it is still going on. Thanks so much for answering!!! :)

I'm surprised it still is going on to particularly when you listen to this reporter who created the story.:what:

Maybe, maybe not. I tend to think they were saved to be souvenirs of June 4, 2008.

I think she saved the receipts as proof she was not in AZ, and it was one of the first things she told her mom when asked about it. "No, I wasn't there. See, I have receipts. I wasn't."

Yes, I noticed his hesitations too. I know many may feel this is outrageous, but when I watched his testimony I was thinking about how I might feel if called to testify against my ex, who I lived with for many years and still have great affection for. I know I would do it and would be honest but I think it would be very painful.

The biggest obstacle I see when dealing with JA the 'shape shifter' is that her exterior precludes her former boyfriends from believing that she could possibly be capable of this.

It's far too frightening for them because they are thinking 'It could have been me."

Also, the human psyche, when faced with seeing this horrific of a crime, attempts to UNDERSTAND it.

So you put JA + Horrific murder photos = unbelievable.

So then, the next step for the feeble human mind is to try to find what is BELIEVABLE.

Well? What would be more believable if you were grasping to understand this?

It would be more believable and less threatening to believe that your ex-girlfriend was DEFENDING herself.

So then follow these mental decision making forward, now you have:

1). Use to be my intimate partner, involved in a horrific crime.

2). Have attempted to understand it and the less threatening explanation is that she was defending herself from abuse.

3). Now I feel sorry for her and as her former lover, still having feelings for her, might want to protect her from the evil press and prosecutor.

Going out on a limb here, but I would think that the excellence demonstrated by Detective Flores and his investigative team, has left NO stone unturned. This is not his first rodeo. If there was an accomplice, someone else would have been charged already.

Travis was killed almost 5 years ago. JA has thrown everyone under the bus and she would have thrown any accomplice under years ago. Detective Flores is the hero here. If not for him, his intellect, demeanor, skills, dedication and experience, JA could have escaped to who knows where. He and his team of detectives and the cooperation of LE in California apprehended the perpetrator of this crime.

If LE has interviewed employees and managers of restaurants, you know they found Bobby Juarez, MM, and others and interviewed them. If an arrest was to be made, they would have done so.

Detective Flores and LE have done an outstanding job. JM is bringing it home. It is up to the jury to score. JMV

Yes. the "lonely" part was the wrong cliche.

This is a hobby for me and I love hanging out. Besides, the weather sucks this weekend. ;)

I'm a member of that club, but I'm not lonely. I love my solitude. I feel that I have paid all my dues in life and can now enjoy everything and anything that I want to. I don't have to do anything anymore. It's wonderful.
(although I still have one son at home, but he's pretty much a loner, too- so different from my older son).
I can be on WS ALL day- :great:

i think DB is kind of a schlub. she left him in a really bad position with that house. he said at one point he was hoping she would help him by staying in the palm desert house (i THINK i have that right but would have to go listen again) but she had other fish (TA) to fry, apparently, and couldn't even do that for the man she spent 4 years with.
she quit her jobs and stopped helping pay any of the bills or the mortgage. she really did a number on ol' darryl financially.

he also said she never really said it was over. there wasn't an official break up. i think that's what JA did with ALL her men and it's one reason they were never really done with her.

i just think like most of her old BF's, darryl's not very bright. i DO give him credit for not marrying her though, even after 4 years with her.

Here's something I started working on yesterday -- guess it was the discussions of the upcoming motion for mistrial that had me thinking about it. Oddly, alcohol was not involved, I swear.

It's just a work in progress (kind of like that !@#$% continuum), so I'm looking for suggestions.

How to avoid having your trial turn into a circus:

Don’t file a motion trying to get a plea agreement to a lesser charge for your client by PROMISING to turn the trial into a circus if the state doesn’t agree.

Don’t follow through when the state tells you to stuff it.

Don’t spend days and days and days discussing sexual acts in such endless detail it would drive even 13-year-old boys to do their homework instead.

Don’t broadcast the use of candy in sexual activity that will cause parents to never ever buy their kids said candy ever again, even to hand out at Halloween.

Don’t lie about the victim to the point where you own mother wants to lynch you.

Don’t get “expert” witnesses who are so laughable that you become an embarrassment. And don’t embarrass yourself further by withholding information from them.

Don’t drive middle-aged men and women to google terms such as “tossed salad.”

Don’t force people to bookmark the Urban Dictionary.

Don’t dress in matching outfits. There are numerous instances of twins being traumatized by this. Color coordinating your outfits is also a no-no.

Don’t lower the defendant’s chair to within inches of the floor.

Nancy Grace is looking for material to label “Bombshell Tonight!” You don’t feed her, she goes away.

Don’t give the media fodder by keeping people on the stand for the term of their natural lives.

Moot court. Use it.

Don’t encourage every adult on the planet to get into a discussion about what constitutes “normal” versus “deviant” sexual behavior. This guarantees that your trial will stay on the front page for a long, long time.

Do your homework about the prosecutor. If he or she is smart, don’t just hope he or she will have a seizure during cross examination. Be prepared instead.

If you even suspect your client is a liar, don’t allow him or her to get on the stand. See: State vs. Arias. See also: State vs. Anthony.

Avoid Disney characters unless they are germane to the subject at hand. Just sayin’.

Exactly. I don't believe she ran back downstairs to get a knife because the gun jammed. No way. She had both weapons ready.

For me, the gun jamming is too convenient and too movie like. Since Jodi likes to refer to movies, I think that's where she got that from when describing the two person attack. How many times have we seen in movies that someone aims a gun at someone else's head and then it jams? Quite a dramatic moment. How often does it happen in real life?

My double-u key doesn't vork (!), so if I sound like I'm doing a bad Garbo imitation please forgive:

Does anyone kno vhy JA fired her first DT?

The woman attorney, Victoria (?) represented, or had legal dealings with some other party that is involved in this trial. I assume she withdrew under the "conflict of Interest" reason. Lucky her!

I thought on cross Juan said something like ...we can't interview Bobby can we... And Jodi answered he was killed.... Jmo

Imagine. Bobby walking in to testify about stalking..., alive and well

LOL :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Now I'm going to be thinking of more of these all day, lol

BBM~ True. The chances of the gun jamming are slimmer than Travis knocking it out of her hand. moo

But...but ....that's what Jodi told Ms.Alyce ....

I think the attack began and was supposed to be contained in the shower. She didn't get the right angle for the first blows, he fought back, he made it to the sink, collapsed, had throat slashed at the doorway.. she flipped him over and dragged him to the shower, where she shot him. :(

Wouldn't the even small caliber gunshot be much louder in the shower? Oh! She would have shot him with the shower on full blast except darn it all she said they had low water pressure there. I think the gunshot was planned for last (not to further the overkill) and used to show two perps after establishing it was for sure not her because she never went to Arizona. Nuh uh.
