IMO this May 22nd journal entry was concocted after the killing. It makes sense to me that from May 22 on the journal entries were fabricated post killing. Just speculation and sadly there is no way for JM to prove it. I wonderif he is allowed to mention that there is the possibility that these entries were made after the killing and pre-dated?

Juan knows they're fabricated because her May 26nd and onward entries have her not planning to go to Mesa and that's not what the state believes, but due to the closeness in time (you couldn't date it forensically under these circumstances), it's impossible to prove.

I do believe the phone was lost and she was afraid of it being recovered by someone else and allowing this suspicious recorded call to fall in the hands of law enforcement. It could show malice and therefore cast more suspicion upon her. So she tried to cover it up with that May 22nd entry, just like she did with the "traded passwords" lie (also suspiciously covered in that May 22nd entry), which as DeMarte pointed out was contradicted by a text message in May where Travis accused her of unauthorized access to his Facebook account. The 2008 journal is largely a fabrication, intended to coverup every possible motive.

You must remember the lengths this woman went through to cover up her involvement in the the murder.

We have fake emails, fake back-dated checks, fake text messages, fake voice mails, several fake memorials (one of which came from her youtube account that was created a day after the stolen gun), and indisputable fake journal entries from June 10th and onward where she feigned ignorance of Travis's death.

For some reason, the thought that maybe she had someone drop her off and pick her up later seems possible. No one heped her kill Travis, but maybe someone dropped her off there and then picked her up. The only problem I have reconciling this thought is how did she let that person know when to pick her up? Just a thought.

I think she got there while it was still dark so the traffic lights wouldn't see her...then she parked around the corner, snuck into the house, and was snooping around while he was sleeping. At some point she snuck out, then snuck back in after Travis had woken up...with the excuse of giving him the check or something stupid like that. (I think this would be when he was cleaning the house/vacuuming). "Oh I thought I;d just come and give it to you in person, honey!" That means no luggage, no nothing brought in except for her tools, which she prob. had in a tote-like purse.

Going to leave for a little while. Some kind of construction something is going on next door and they keep making these squeaky wheel noises that is driving me insane. BTW...I like basketball but can't watch it in person or on TV unless I mute. The sound of their shoes squeaking on the floor is like chalkboard noise.

Moving has certainly helped me morally. I don’t know if it has him or if he’s found a replacement booty-call. For his sake I hope he hasn’t, not because it would be a replacement but because it is not spiritually productive.

Wow, they read that on a TH show, and left off the "not because it would be a replacement" part. I, of course, considered "for his sake, I hope he hasn't" a threat! Thanks for that clarification.

In a post-murder journal entry, Jodi wrote that she'd gone with others to give dna samples to the Mesa PD and both the guy who took the samples and the detective (Flores) were LDS. She was wearing a BYU t-shirt, and one of them noticed and asked her if she'd gone to the "Y", so in her first sit-down with DT she may have intentionally played the Mormon card as manipulation.

How about when she tried to coax Detective Flores into telling her why he didn't believe her? Wanted to know what about her behavior made him doubt her, etc., then quickly assured him that she wouldn't change how she was "acting" just wanted to know what made him not believe her story. Although Jodi studied up on jargon/buzz words/terms/behaviors (probably "coached" to some extent by the DT experts) associated with domestic violence and PTSD during her nearly five years in jail, she still didn't come across as remotely credible on the stand. This was especially noticeable during the parts of her testimony that involved her relationship with Travis and his murder. Her words didn't match her body language, attitude, behavior at all. Most telling of all--and I don't believe this was lost on the jury--was the utter lack of remorse, guilt, regret over killing Travis.

this can’t be real. I know you hated that kind of thinking. After we broke up, I stopped wearing the CTR ring you gave me, but it’s back on my finger now. I didn’t have the slightest clue that when we met at the rain Forest Café that you’d have such a lasting and profound impact on my life. It seems fitting that we should meet @ the rain Forest Café, being the environmentally forward people that we are. I have always felt that she parked that rental car around the corner, or down the block, away from Travis' house. And since she supposedly got there before dawn, no one would have seen her walking to his house from a block away. Who knows if she really got there at 4:00 AM (ish), the time that she said she got there. I was not able to watch the trial on the day this was mentioned, so excuse me if I have this info twisted.

ITA and I think this is also why she had to color her hair. She had to walk a bit in the neighborhood.

You're correct. JSS told the jury that April 26 wouldn't work out after all, but told them to hold May 3 as previously planned.

I think the difference is most people believe its almost impossible to get away with murder. Most people don't commit murder... Or seriously plan it. Most people recognize that law enforcement is smarter than them, have more experience, more man power. Most people believe they'd be caught.

Jodi being a psychopath believed she was smarter and would never be caught. When caught ... Her narcissism still prevented the possibility of a conviction in her twisted mind. No jury will convict me, mark my words..

Also, she gets a lot of her info. from movies, Probably CSI, etc.. I see a lot in those type things that they can retrieve e-mails, etc. from a computer, but I had never heard anything about camera retrieval before. I really feel like she just had basic knowledge about this just like me. I would seriously never have thought that it was possible to retrieve deleted photos from a camera card...I just did not think of it in the same way as like a computer harddrive, etc.. I am not every techhy, and as far as I'm concerned neither was she, even thought she claims otherwise.
