It is cut and dry. It is a fact that the last three incriminating photos were found in allocated space. Ergo they were deleted manually *at the house* on June 4th. That shows two things, 1) she did not intend on taking the camera with her, 2) She did not intend on taking the memory card either.

I don't see a puzzle here, just a woman who made serious mistakes in her altering of the crime scene. She's no female Lex Luther. Just an average woman who failed, like many murderers before her.

It isn't cut and dried because we don't know what was in her mind or what her intentions were. It isn't a puzzle to you but it is to others because the topic repeatedly bobs to the surface.

The intentional vs. unintentional won't ever be resolved because she's a liar and there is no video of her moves that night.

No right or wrong answer. Just differing views.

you're a man? LOL I suck @ guessing these things.
Although, statistically speaking, guessing you r a chick would b the way 2 go.

Sorry to disappoint you. :floorlaugh:

After looking at some of those "graphic" pics, I don't understand why there is not vomit everywhere (from JA) I get sick looking at pics, I think the fact that she did not get sick doing what she did, tells me she has done some killing before (animal/people)
moo

Yes, this is exactly what I said too. And yet she "claims" to get sick at the sight of blood. That right there should be the only thing the jury needs to make up its mind.

I agree, and as far as the e-mails go, I have trouble believing any of them because since we know Jodi hacked into his e-mail, she could have made up any of them! I hope the jury remembers this! She could have written any of those "supposed" e-mails from Travis to Jodi, just written it from Travis' e-mail account and sent it to hers. So the only stuff the defense has left is the texts and the stupid sex tape. I wish Travis had not sent here those "rants" in text form...I wish he had just said all that stuff over the phone, then this manipulative, lying, scheming b**** would have NOTHING for her case, absolutely nothing. Notice how Jodi never showed any "anger" to him in text form..only verbal which there is no record of...'cause she was already plotting and scheming his murder!

Maybe the puter techi will be there to show that though the emails were sent from his email account they weren't sent from his IP address or his puter. Idk if thats even possible but it sounds good in my head lol.

Finally got the link to work. I can't post pictures! Now this is the only rope found in the bedroom. Where did it come from? Is this where the frayed pieces came from that Jodi claims are pieces of rope? Was this addressed in court?

Yes, there was some piece of "fabric"-type thing on the stairs...and then there were some shaggy-type fabric shreds in the bathroom. I think Juan was saying that the one on the stair could have been from the tassels on his bed throw pillows, and the ones in the bathroom could have been from his shaggy flip-flops/slippers. But I am thinking that how could it be from the pillow tassels if those were in the bedroom and not really involved in the murder scene? I mean, how could it have come off cause it looks the throw pillows were pretty much untouched. There were the bed pillows all over the floor though...does anyone know why those were strewn around? I don't know if it was in testimony or not. Also, as far as the shaggy slippers, those couldn't have been in the bathroom either since there was no blood on them. Anyone got any information on these things?

I said it a bit sarcastically but most of us know, even if we delete files on our computer then send it to our trash bin and empty it.....they still stay on the motherboard. Same thing with our cell phones. We can delete phone numbers off the SIM card but they remain on the hard drive of the phone itself. It's common knowledge. There's hardly nothing that's not retrievable when it comes to microchips. It's difficult to destroy electrons, photons and then silicon-based chips.

The whole camera thing doesn't sit well with me. From me believing the camera was around her neck (despite the strap untouched in original box) to why she just didn't take the camera with her.

I hear what most of you are saying, I'm just having a hard time processing and accepting it. That's all ;)

Desktop computers are different. Information (like personal photos) is generally stored on hard disks, not motherboards or flash chips. Phones and cameras have no hard drives AFAIK -- they store information on microchips. Jodi likely knew this and may have thought that deleting information from a microchip was different than deleting it from a HDD -- thinking that it would be harder if not impossible to recover deleted information from a chip, especially after the chip has been short-circuited in water.

In contrast, HDD's are just magnetic disks. They're not going to be affected by a short-circuit like a microchip. Just a tiny amount of static electricity is enough to fry a microchip.

BBM~ Not think clearly? Do you agree with the fognesia that Dr. Samuels testified to?

I still wonder why she would put the camera in the washer with bleach.

I think she was thinking deleting the photos would be good enough. Certainly one in a haste would not start to take apart cameras to remove memory cards, unless it was your camera.

Although, part of me thinks she left it there on purpose. To be found and exposed for the universe to see. imo she succeeded at that.

<snip>

I'm fairly sure that after inflicting the gruesome carnage that she did, she was not thinking clearly. "Delete pictures!" Panic "clean body" panic..."I gotta get out of here!" ...panic..."gather laundry"....panic...she was not running thru a CSI/Dexter/Nancy Grace episode in her head. She actually committed the unimaginable ...in real life.

I think that what JA has on DB is that he has the "stolen" dvd player and he knows that photo is his "junk" and not Travis.

I'm on that train with you!

Remember too, my sleuther family...computers/sd cards/cameras/software/hardware/etc....were way different 6 years ago....(when evidence was collected)...
just a random thought....
Sleep tight everyone!

But it has been resolved. After the murder, she took the time to manually delete the last three photos from June 4th. So it follows that her leaving the camera behind was intentional. Otherwise, she would not have bothered with the multi-step deletion process at his house. We may never know the real reason for why she left it behind, but the evidence says that it was no accident.

BBM

(where is the good post smilie? :() OK GOOD POST!

I doubt very much Travis was the first man she recorded, took photos of and did other things to use against them at some point in the future. DB comes to mind - when he was on the stand testifying he sounded afraid of JA.

That's right, and what she held over his head could very well affect his rights as a father, no doubt at all that this is possible... IMO, of course. :)

Hell no. I simply meant that she wasn't sitting around on a forum dissecting her every move. She planned the murder. She committed the murder. She tried to clean up after herself. She failed. Surely we agree on that.

I think precise times are a huge factor in this.

17:30-ish - Last known time Travis is alive.

20:00-ish- Sunset. imo Jodi left the scene between 1930-20:00.

That gave her 2 or so hours. Premed? Yes.

If she was in the fognesia, the scene would of been worse. But it was so bad it could not get any worse than better.

Premeditation … No matter WHAT is true or not true … isn’t that the crux of all this testimony?

I’m sure this has been addressed, ‘cuz YOU ARE ALL BRILLIANT (truly … ) I just can’t keep up with the threads.

Is there a discussion about her quick (and reasonably thorough) cleanup? ‘Cuz it is, IMO, further evidence of premeditation. Think about it.

There is no way she got rid of the most incriminating evidence + no bloody foot prints throughout the home … Stair railing wiped? TWO loads of wash, pix deleted … This all supposedly happened within (roughly) 30 to 45 minutes?

Now … Imagine. You just acted “in fear of your life.” You did this “in the spur of the moment.” How in the heck do you go through the necessary cover up in short order without thinking it through FIRST!! (Heck, she did more house cleaning in 30 minutes than I accomplish during a 2-day weekend.)

IMO … (in addition to the knife) she had gloves handy; she had a change of clothes/foot ware handy … and, yes, IMO, she showered with TA’s body. Ugh. Sorry.

The efficiency, the timeline of her clean up leads me to believe that this, too, is evidence of premeditation.

Again, I apologize if this has been discussed in depth elsewhere

But why would that hurt him more than JA? She's the one facing the DP. If she spilled the beans about the dvd player, she would be confessing to first degree - premeditation. The dvd player = stolen gun. Stolen gun = lethal injection.

And Jodi is not trying to look at needles.
