That house looks vastly different from the 'subdivision' homes in the neighborhood- much, much older. So it makes sense that there is a well of a diameter large anough to rappel down.

Some of the old artisian wells had big round concrete covers on them. A small adult could fall into them.

Yes, my uncle has one of those on his property. My grandma is always on him to cover it with something more than a piece of plywood. I have never before this moment felt that it was urgent to do so. I am seriously not taking my kids back there until the thing gets secured. Maybe it's just that I am feeling so anxious and fearful right now...

The search for 10-month-old Lisa Irwin has brought investigators to a vacant house about a half-mile away from her home.




Investigators have set up a tripod around a well on the property, in the 3800 block of North Brighton, and are putting on harnesses, preparing to repel down the well.

The fire is directly in the middle of the path between the Irwin house and this house with the well. Baby Lisa....dumpster....well. Tears.
