WESH: Duct Tape Info in the Document Release

The knife(--ives) always come(s) from the same evidence lot number.

I thought I originally read 2 knives, reading just now I didn't find the second one before I got bumped....

1. No knife found at dump site (one knife found in Pontiac Sunfire)

2. Color of handles not given on bag at dump scene (bag that contained items taken from Pontiac Sunfire was black with yellow handles)

If there is a point here it is that while we are all anxiously awaiting the next doc release, we should learn from the previous time that it is easy to be confused mislead by sensational early reports. It seems some of those misconceptions have lingered despite being refuted repeatedly.

I think the evidence that will be disclosed in this doc dump, re. the duct tape, will be fibers that match KC's clothes, her trunk, or carpet from the house. I do think there will be fingerprint or DNA evidence but that lab work will probably take a long time so that this discovery can be withheld from the defense as long as possible.

On Topic: I can't wait until we get the next doc dump because we are going to get a much better idea of where the defense can go in this case. The wiggle room may become a bit tighter and they may have to re-revaluate their position. Stomach problems...INDEED!

We all are concentrating on the duct tape around the head which had tissue between the tape itself and fingerprints. Tissue disintegrated and ruined prints. Fingerprints may have been found on the tape that was wrapped around the bag itself.

Hasn't anyone ever done giftwrapping with mere scotch tape and seen their own prints on the adhesive side?

Do you think submerging the tape in water and churning it around for 60 or so days is going to change the print very much? Even subjecting to sun? The only way to get rid of prints would be with acetone or perhaps alchohol. Not normally available in decomp body in sufficient quantity. Also requires rubbing to efface.

Duct tape will hold info. Partial prints all over adhesive side. Mooo.

I just got home from work and trying to catch up..
Can someone tell me if it's been reported that the doc dump will happen tomorrow? IIRC that when we hear that the dump will happen the next day, NG usually has some in her hot little hands the night before. Man I hope that is the case because I have a little agitta myself today....
