What areas have been searched?

  • #21
lflorida........cypruss road and palmetto bluff.

Several Cypress's around here. One in Bostwick [NE of Hwy 17 near St. Johns River]. One off of 207A N/E of East Palatka. One down in Welaka area.

Palmetto Bluff - I know there's one of those in Bostwick near the Cypress Creek road mentioned above.

[But no, I don't know any connection between that area and anyone in the case.]

B4 sent in a great suggestion to copy Papa's maps to this thread!

Everyone really has done a great job today to get this thread going. Maybe it will help people in the area keep an eye out for unsearched areas.

Hold on........

Three cadaver search dogs alerted on the Dumpster around 3 p.m.

Investigators found brush and debris inside. All were remnants of a home being renovated. The sheriff's office said they did not take anything from the Dumpster.
Bloodhounds had searched the area several times in the past. The dogs' handler described the incident as an anomaly.

Really? The dogs picked up on something, what was it? Who was doing the renovating and on what? The scent may have been on the material being discarded from the hands of the person doing the discarding!

Baz-I mentioned this before and no one seemed to have wanted to talk about this. But you are absolutely right, LE should've investigated the origin of the material inside that dumpster.

Wasn't that home that they searched near (iirc, it was along the river) I think it was vacant. Wonder if the the house was cleaned out and items were discarded in that dumpster. I don't know if I am explaining this correctly but I know there was a vacant home involved in all this.. I can't remember where I read it.

What about that green trailer, that some people wanted checked? That stuff they found in the dumpster had to come from somewhere. But where?

I wish I had seen your post earlier, I would have called and asked LE if they had checked. They are the only ones that can do anything about it by investigating the origin of the material. If there was a vacant house, maybe someone had used that property to stay there that night, waiting for the opportune time to make their move. It's definitely worth looking into.

I was not sure where to post this. I know many have questioned what LE was doing at Tyler st. the day Haleigh went missing. In this transcript it states the reason there was to Verifying the last time Haleigh was seen which was, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours from time of the 911 call at 3:27AM. Which would of been around 2:00AM, not 10PM. If I understand this correctly. If I am wrong please correct me. This was mentioned around 6min into the 911 call. They also give locations that were being searched.

Hey MAD, I brought this up awhile ago and this transmissions tells me that Haleigh was indeed seen after 10p by someone over on Tyler St. At first I questioned what LE was doing over on Tyler in the first place but now I see that it really doesn't matter why they were there but yet they found out that Haleigh was last seen in her residence at around 2a. Now my questions are:

Who from Tyler St. was at that mh around 2a?
Why were they there at 2a?
Remember the screams heard coming from the area at around 2-2:30a?
If you ask me, it's all connected.

I also think that Ron was home during this time.

Has there been any searches over by where Ron "werked" or is that too obvious?

Here are two more articles regarding searches.

Investigators Waited 17 Days to Fully Search Dumpster Near Haleigh's Home
The search moved into the Villas neighborhood, which is just on the other side of a fence from where Ronald and Haleigh house is located. It is about a quarter-mile away.
"We didn't search over this. In fact, we've searched it in depth. We just never took all the trash out," replied Major Gary Bowling of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. When asked if there are any other areas close to the home that haven't been fully searched, Bowling said no.

Officers searched an area in St. Augustine near some railroad tracks around state Road 16 and U.S. Highway 1 after someone called to say he or she saw a man walking with a girl who fit Haleigh's description.
Police eventually located a man in the area who was walking his daughter to school. Still, there was no sign of Haleigh

Are these two people walking on that road with the dog, civilians or LE? And why does that person keep tugging on that leash to bring the dog back?

I thought the dogs were off the leash, but I will assume they are LE.

The dog is not off the leash in the last segment of that video, and the two people walking on that road with the dog don't appear to have on uniforms, but what do I know? JMO

February 16, 2009 A tip prompted about 60 officers to search for hours in a field near Pomona Park -- about 10 miles south of Satsuma. They left without finding anything significant. Channel 4's Mazzeo and Cho report a large number of federal agents and local police at the Cummings' mobile home late Monday afternoon, but no one would discuss what information prompted the response. http://www.news4jax.com/news/18725807/detail.html

Putnam County is located approximately 60 miles south of Jacksonville and 30 miles west of St. Augustine. The county's land area is 807 square miles and includes the communities of Palatka, Crescent City, Interlachen, Pomona Park and Welaka. The Putnam County Sheriff's Office serves a population of about 70,000 people. http://www.putnamsheriff.org/

Here's a search, heading down the road from the MH with dogs:

http://www.wesh.com/video/18801851/index.html

debs, this is an interesting video that I have not seen before. There are 2 teams shown.

-The first 5 minutes or so shows team 1 at what appears to be a back track of the PCSO track route in the area at the end of Green Drive.

-Team 2 is shown at the end of Seven Sisters beginning at around the 5:00 mark.

Searchteams.jpg

There are 2 areas shown from the copter that I don't believe we have seen anywhere else before.

-Could this be the "elusive" Cobra/TN/Neighbor's hog pen?

Hogpen.jpg

-This appears to be edge of the pond that was mentioned in the PCSO report's track route:

Why have I never heard about the "hogpen"? What's the story behind it? tia

Hey Concerned Papa, do you know where the green trailer is from the mh? I know Ron and his family wanted that trailer checked but I don't know where it is.

IIRC..TN took Cobra to a green trailer located in an area where she claims she wandered around alone searching for Haleigh for about four hours... She also claimed she heard squeeling noises..Like wild hogs..

I thought we finally determined this was the m/h right behind Ron's. It isn't? thx for any clarification 'cuz I'm confused.

eta - and FWIW, TJ said it had been searched multiple times, and I think LE did, too.
