What areas have been searched?

Was anything ever learned about the items of interest that were found.

FOX NEWS http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,492425,00.html

February 13, 2009

Investigators found "items of interest" in the dense woods surrounding the home of a missing Florida girl in a "productive day" of searching even as hundreds of volunteers swarmed the area Friday but found no sign of 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings.

"I can say we did discover some items of interest. I can't go into detail as to what those items were or are," said Major Steve Rose of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, who would not comment how the items were being handled for fear of revealing what they are.

Hardy said items have been sent for lab analysis but would not say what those were. http://www.jacksonville.com/news/me...missing_haleigh

Sorry I don't have the link handy, but it was said that the "Items Were Not Related To Haleigh Cummings". That is what all the article say after LE says they find "items of interest", then they come back and say..oh it has nothing to do with Haleigh. I will buy it once or twice, but not "Every Single Time".

In the last article in the post above from MADJGNLAW, why is Paradise Shores Road in Crescent City ringing a bell?

Isn't that where Timmy and Chelsea Croslin lived?

I don't know about Timmy & Chelsea, but iirc, Teresa's landlord [who Annette sold the Beecher Springs Rd. property to] put a new-ish m/h on another piece of property she owns on Paradise Shores Rd in 2009. See EKnowles in property tax rolls for more info.

You can also do look-ups on Putnam County Tax Collector's website by street name and see all of the property owners on that road. [Will only show current owners, though, so if a property was transferred since the tax roll was certified [Jun 1?] it will show the current owner, not the one in Feb 2009.

There are all kinds of "Paradise" roadways down there: Paradise Lake Estates Blvd, Paradise Shores Rd. [jmo, they are NOT paradise. It was a marketing ploy for the unsuspecting peeps who bought the land sight unseen, but JMO.]

Squeaky doors.....Squeaky shoes

Maybe that's why Ron and Misty are so confident that she won't be found so therefore they stick to their story.

suspicious, that's exactly what I believe they were/are doing. I say were doing, cause it appears to me that they, Ron in particular is not doing a dang thing..guess he's tired of keeping up the pretense. At first they kept the story relatively simple, though they still get tripped up recounting details :rolleyes:) with Rons' ever present "I wuz et werk" and Mistys superfast simple rundown of the evening..bro came over, fixed dinner, put videos in, kids to bed, washed blanket w/no detergent, was exhausted so she went to bed and the next thing she knows, she sees a 3, but she knows absolutely nothing either because she was asleep. So I'm figuring that their basic plan started with "we know nothing, Ron was @ werk and Misty was asleep, the rest added from there.

You are right, they seem quite confident in their story and that is very worrisome to me. << JMHO..

Thanks LFlorida. The reason I was asking is because in reading the article, 100 LE officers searching along the grass shoulders of a 12 mile stretch of highway strikes me as an extreme search for a specific reason.

It's a little hard for me to wrap my mind around the "We're just a'lookin" comment from Lt Greenwood:

Greenwood said the search is not being conducted because of any new tips or leads in connection to Haleigh's disappearance.

"We're not looking for anything specific. We're just looking," he said

It would seem unlikely that they were looking for a body, right out in the open, alongside of a Federal highway with specific starting and ending locations defined from Buffalo Bluff Rd south to Paradise Shores Rd. I doubt we'll ever know the real "why", but a dollar to a donut says they were looking for something from a tip of some kind.

I know we're all frustrated as heck at LE in this case, but think about it.....that's some dilligence at work for 100 officers to be searching for some type of evidence, on both sides of a road for TWELVE miles.

BBM. I agree they were not looking for a body and I'm well aware of the fact I could be way off base but I have suspected something tragic happened after Haleigh was picked up from the bus stop for many months now.....
Witnesses have claimed Misty headed in the opposite direction of the MH.. If she was headed to her brother's house in Crescent City and she and Ron had an altercation somewhere along the highway, perhaps LE was looking for evidence of an event of this nature...I feel certain he cornered her somehow, ran her off the main road, perhaps on to a side road..Also, the incident could have even occurred at Timmy and Chelseys house...JMO

Hey CP, was that the area that they said they were searching just in case something was thrown out of a car?

I was watching this old video from when the Mondex was search and just realized that letter did not state Haleigh would of been found in the Mondex, it said "Near The Mondex".
:waitasec:LE said Nay Nay denied being involved in the "Homicide Case"? Per what the reporter said

That would certainly fit in with the search done 20 minutes SW of 202 Green (per reporter).

A = 202 Green Lane, Satsuma
B = GGS's home in Welaka
C = The 20 minute mark from 202 Green Lane that was referred to by the reporter who covered the story at that time, ends up at/or very near the Welaka State Forest, County Rd 309, Pomona Park
D = County Rd 308 (Huntington Rd) crosses over taking you to Crescent City

Thanks MAD, I 've never seen this video. At the end of it the reporter said Nay denied being at the party the night Haleigh disappeared. So there was a party Monday night?

They took one piece of the whole letter and that is what the video was about. There was alot more to that letter and it in Nay Nay said that someone else had told the detectives that supposedly at the party where Haleigh got the pills and od'ed.

I don't know where to find the whole original letter but there was alot more to it and it was actually a followup to an signed statement.

If Misty went to CC after she picked up Haleigh at the bus stop wouldn't it be quicker to go from point A on your map to point D by taking the highway marked 15/17 on the map? Is this a 12 mile stretch? Is this the area that was searched that C. Papa referred to in his post above yours?

I will assume that LE searched this area.
