What case really burns your butt?

For me it’s the Sarah Everard case due to personal reasons.

When living in London I walked the road she was abducted on many times, often alone & often after dark.

I was taught growing up to always respect & obey the police - I believe if Wayne Couzens tried to arrest me on that road using his warrant card I would have been Sarah as my instinct would’ve been to obey the police.

The fact that he drove her for hours before raping & murdering her sends shivers down my spine - the fear she must’ve been in on that journey 🙁🙁

can you expand on this more? do you have specific suspects in mind?

I have a couple theories, the main one has to do with mistaken identity with another person key to the case who has history with a certain criminal group from early in his career. This video was taken before the murders. As an aside, there is an interesting, yet short encounter between Russell and another gentleman in the store. I wonder if Sheriff Sills ever followed up with that person?

While you watch RD shop in the video, look at him and then consider how Sheriff Sills might appear in civilian clothes and without his mustache. Could someone from Sheriff Sills past want him gone? What if that person spotted RD as his doppelganger? What if that person followed RD from the store or bank to his home and sent a team out later, with a sword?

oh wow interesting theory….is the criminal group you refer to a certain uh, cult known for being in the same county?
I’m thinking that encounter with the other gentleman doesn’t mean anything at all and was just a friend or neighbor or acquaintance and it was typical small talk. The guy looks to be elderly himself so I doubt he’s involved but it is a little strange RD went back to him. Agreed that i hope Sills was able to locate and interview him just for good measure.

Unsolved murder of Lynda Farrow, Eastend London 19/1/79. Pregnant Lynda Farrow, 29 was found at home with her throat slit by her daughters. The killer would be heavily bloodstained but got away. Possibly in a white Ford Cortina, a best selling car for many years. It had been snowing heavily & size 9 boot prints were found ner the house. DNA ruled this out as being linked to similar unsolved murders in the area in the 70s..

My apologies if this has been covered already, I am a newbie. I don't know, man, with so much basically murder 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on our screens from HBO to Discovery, some really excellent Ytube vloggers, and beyond, covering every murdering WTF dirtbag old and new often repeated in other guises from program to program, Fear Thy Neighbor, American Monster, Dateline, and keep going times one hundred, it's hard to keep up with as the Jewish faith so eloquently phrase one of extremely poor character such as these murderers: A " NEBBISH." Perfect, aint it? But every once in a while a case hoofs up that really gets under the skin that u can't get out of your head, for why, I don't know. I should, I am a former psychologist and I have covered that with colleagues in the past, to no avail, from newbie qualified to old dog, none of us had an answer, why? For me it was the two <modsnip> who killed Cassie Jo Stoddart - that haunts me and I don't know why? Casey Marie Anthony burns my wife's 🤬🤬🤬, mention that name and she freaks out - she'd scratch her eyes out given half a chance. So, the crux of the matter: we watch literally hundreds of murder documentaries (murder 🤬🤬🤬🤬) and we are meh to 99.9% of them - just the right amount of self righteous indignation to make ourselves feel good, to justify our voyeurism into the real life macabre. So why does everybody have a special pet murder case that can't be shaken. Y'all know what I'm talking about - that one case that rankles and itches.
"...why does everybody have a special pet murder case that can't be shaken..." I'm not sure "everybody" has a special pet case of any kind. That said, for those of us that do, I would imagine it's personal; and, we want to claw their eyes out... in the case of your wife...revenge...not justice...revenge...served ice cold...but revenge is NOT justice.

Oh the case that burns my butt? Joshua Berry missing for 7 years...remains found less than 1/2 mile from where 2 different hunts with cadaver dogs were conducted. One with Uncle Si Robertson. The dna report returned to the family had multiple possibilities, if I understand it correctly. The coroner ruled it case undetermined manner and cause of death. The Sherriff's dept returned all personal belongings found and being held as evidence and appear to have closed the case. Josh is my close cousin.

I have two cases that I wonder about often. First is the Kelly Wilson case. In January 1992 at about 9:30 pm Kelly left her job at a video store in Gilmer, Tx. When she was not home the next morning her stepfather went to the video store and found Kelly’s car parked in its usual location with her keys and purse in the unlocked car. Police were called and an investigator, James Brown, was assigned. Early on it was an active investigation with several searches of various locations by law enforcement and volunteers. After a month or so, there were allegations made that Kelly was kidnapped by a satanic cult of which Investigator Brown was a member. The focus suddenly switched from Kelly’s case to these allegations and it all became a three ring circus from there. I worked with Kelly’s mother and participated in the early searches. Sadly it seemed law enforcement was not interested in Kelly’s case after all the cult business was resolved and the family then moved out of state. She remains missing to this day.

Second is the Jason Landry case. Jason, a college student at Texas State University, had finished his final exams and left for his home near Houston for Christmas. He never arrived and his car was found, crashed, near the small town of Luling with no sign of Jason other than his clothing scattered over the area around the car. He remains missing.

I don't think we've seen you on Lynda's cold case thread here. Be nice to have more people contributing info/compiling facts.
I think it's not a single case for me, but a combination of unsolved murdered women in the 1970s, like Lynda, like Eve Stratford and Lynne Weedon, Elizabeth Parravicini and Sally Shepherd...
The 1970s were dangerous and too many serial killers, not enough forensics. Not a great time to be female especially.

Thanks not been on Lynda Farrow's page as I only recently started to look into the case & I'm also checking out loads of others! Wonder how many of the unsolved murders & disappearances from the 70s were linked?

Literally just started deep diving into the Santa Rosa Hitchhiker killings yesterday ... good grief. So many crazy things happening in the '70s, particularly in California.

What burns mine, is all of the victims who were wounded or killed by the Zodiac killer! (And there were many more than the seven we know about)
The latest one I am assuming he killed, was "Pamela Jean King John", age 23, killed on the anniversary of Martin L King, on Jan 20th, 1976, in Napa Ca. Her body was found floating in the Napa River, one to two days after she was murdered. When found the investigators, couldn't tell if she was male or female. Which tells me her female parts were missing! Zodiac wrote once he would remove female body parts for the city to see. It looks like he wanted to copy Jack the Ripper! Part of Zodiac's MO was to kill on or close to holidays, near water, over kill, Pamela's murder has all of his known MO!

Yup the The Nuwaubian Nation. You gotta admit that the victim RD and the Sheriff look a lot alike except for the mustache. It is hard to make out the other guy in the video, but what if RD encountered someone associated with the cult and they made a comment like Hey Sheriff! Wassup? It was a very brief encounter. If it were a friend or neighbor you would expect it to continue longer.

I actually have several but most recently: Mary Yoder, chiropractor killed by poisoning. Isn't it completely cut and dry that Katie is completely, 100% guilty? Am I the only one that thinks it was a ploy to get Adam back and that he is innocent? And to get off by a technicality like the warrant to search her phone is completely laughable and ridiculous!!!

I have a few cases that infuriate me.
1.JonBonet Ramsey- New evidence coming forth proves what I thought all along, her father harmed his own child! SICKENING
2. Chris Watts - How can you unlive your pregnant wife and children over a affair your still having in prison and your girlfriend helped!
3. Right now Kei'Mani Latigue, that poor child was failed and SICKENING that ot was her own father. Instill can't grapple the fact of the horrific things that poor girl endured and what he did! CPS was made aware of her situation and DID NOTHING!
Alot of States needbto bring the DP back, especially for those who harm children!

West Memphis Three - Stevie, Michael and Christopher. My heart is completely broken over that case, I have a son of a similar age to the victims.

Closer to home, the abduction and murder of James Bulger in Bootle, England. It happened in my home city, my dad was a police officer at the time. I was 10 years old and I remember sitting in the school playground with my friends, crying our eyes out. For many of us it was the first time we realised that evil existed.
West Memphis Three kept me up at night for so long, I thought I'd never get it out of my head... Finally have.

The case that bothers me the most is the murder of Nubia Barahona.
Murder of Nubia Barahona - Wikipedia

It bothers me, because it shows the dysfunction of the CPS system in the United States. This little girl was abused by her parents, put in foster care, adopted by the Barahona's, and there were all kinds of red flags. The little girl came to school dirty, hungry, with injuries, and when it was noticed, the Barahona's decided to "homeschool" Nubia and her brother, Victor.

The killers have been manipulating the justice system for almost a decade. There are 1000's of pages of evidence. It is supposedly a "death penalty" case, which means that it will go on for years. The justice system is spending more money on the killers, than the CPS system ever spent on these children.

An update on this, 6 years later. The killers still have not gone to trial. Years of manipulation. Changing attorneys, on and on...now, Jorge Barahona is considered "incompetent" for trial!

Travesty! Justice delayed is Justice denied. Longer than Nubia was alive now.
