I would love to provide my opinion, but I realize that this case was years ago. If I ask a question, I would rather not get a sarcastic response from other members. I am new to this case and am catching up.
I've actually found it to be easier to be a newcomer to true crime discussions because if anyone gets annoyed with me I can just use the excuse that I'm new here and don't know anything.

so as web sleuths, what can we do to find the real killers? is this just a chat at this point?
I do not think that the 3 teenagers accused and went to jail for YEARS were the killers. no one has been convicted of the killing of these three boys. as a new sleuth, am i ignorant asking for more information and direction on how we can solve this for the families?

I have so much more to say.

Can someone tell me if this site is just for chatting and opinions or do we affect the case in anyway with our investigation and research?

I can chat all day about cases. But, if we are not helping the case in any way, what are we doing here???

The movement seems to have died since they got released.

This case haunts and bothers me. I have watched at least 4 documentaries about this case and each one provides just a bit more information.
IMHO, the way the boys' bodies were found, including "hog tying" with their own shoe laces, tells me whoever did this took their time. Not only did they take their time, but the boys must not have screamed for help as they would have been heard by people in the neighborhood. And/or they knew their attacker as a supervisory figure.
Based on the interviews I have seen with Echols, Misskelley Jr and Baldwin, these "kids" were not skilled enough to pull off this crime.
Additionally, I believe the timeline of reported events rules out some crazy from the truck stop.
There is no evidence to support it, but I believe Terry Hobbs had something to do with this.

There is some evidence against Hobbs. His timeline, his own statements, the hairs, having Stevie's pocket knife...

Not enough to convict for me but enough to warrant a closer look at him

I think it’s someone who has combat experience who did this. Either that or someone who really has developed a penchant for expeditious torture. Among the key players it’s certainly Terry Hobbs who makes the most sense. I don’t know his specific background but he has low levels of emotion (possibly sociopathic).

He could also be protecting someone he knows. He doesn’t seem like ”a snitch”.

Innocent. I can't see those three teens doing it and being that organized and ruthless.

I used to suspect TH, but am less convinced these days. Way too risky to cross the pipe in broad daylight and then leave the same way and dispose of the bikes after the crime for it to be premeditated in nature. Maybe rage in nature, but it seems an extreme reaction to kill all 3 like that, and why undress them? Even riskier to use it as a dumping site if the violence happened elsewhere.

I think it was either a thrill kill or perpetrated by someone of completely out of their mind, like a vagrant living in the woods that has paranoid schizophrenia. The latter is less likely IMO.

If it was a thrill kill, I think the perp was someone from the neighborhood that was aware of the kids patterns enough to feel comfortable attempting a calculated risky murder so close to home.

There was a suspect in the apartments that I believe had a clear line of site to the pipe crossing. Perhaps he watched the kids enough to learn their patterns and their familes' as well as his neighbors'. Its only a 3 minute drive to the service road at the Blue Beacon from the pipe crossing. He could have seen them crossing, hopped in his car and parked on the other side of the woods to enter from the north, unseen from neighbors. He might have even talked to them in the past to gain trust.

There was another 26 year old from the neighborhood that people were suspicious of. He stated that he learned of the boys missing while going to a job interview at the Blue Beacon and that someone asked him to help look. He was even seen at the crime scene later, "looking" for the boys.... or maybe evidence that he left behind. IIRC he helped search the next day, but the tips image at Callahan is hard to read. He lived close to one of the boys too.

It would be easy to intentionally mix up the "going to an interview" with "coming from an interview" to redirect his time line. Not sure if the police verified with BB staff that the interview was scheduled. If it was a ruse, he could also say the interview didn't happen because he helped search instead.

IIRC there was other strange stuff about him. He supposedly fell in the water while searching all alone. If he followed the boys from the neighborhood, he could have tossed the bikes in the bayou before the murder. If someone saw him near the scene, he could say he was on his way to an interview.

Here's one of the tips with image quality that was transcribed:

"New caller advised that W/M, first name either Tim or Tony, is possibly responsible for the murder of the three 8 year old youths in Arkansas earlier this month. Caller advised that [name] is into self-mutilation and has broken bottles and cut himself in the presence of his sister. His sister advised the caller that her brother had 'killed animals before' and that when she asked about the boys she suspected her brother's involvement. Subject's sister is Tamara and she works at a [unreadable] cleaners in the [unreadable]. Caller stated that the person she believes was involved is [unreadable] he works at the Blue Beacon Truck Wash [unreadable] (the youths were found behind the Blue Beacon). Caller advised that Tim has been in an institution and likes to play with 5-8 year old boys."

The other Tip:

"Received a call from Sally Brady and Gina Riccio about the nite the boys were missing Wednesday nite and they were out driving around trying to assist in locating the missing boys.

They advised they saw TC from Lake Shore riding a bicycle that was green + yellow go into Robin Hood Woods at dead end of Marty [Ave] as they were driving around searching. About 45 minutes to 1 hour later they saw him again coming from the other end of Robin Hood and was wet + muddy all over and they heard him tell some of the Search + Rescue people he had fallen in the bayou and was going home and change clothes. They said he was a weird acting guy and just wanted to check him out. He was seen going in woods around 10 PM and coming out around 11 PM.
