To me the key date would be June 24th - upon discovery of gas cans there was also an accidental discovery of either an odor or a body as well. What do you think of the THEORETICAL timeline below - an attempt to explain how it all went down:
June 15th: Argument at the Anthonys home. In my theory the argument was not just about the stolen money but also something else that is very personal to KC. Did Caylee say something to grandma CA as they drove earlier that day to/from visiting the great-grandparents indisposing KCs behavior, perhaps something related to the boyfriend, adult parties, nightclubbing, being near drugs, witnessing mom having sex? KC left extremely irate at not just her mothers treatment later but also at Caylee for putting her on the spot. She lashes out on Caylee. I think she got violent with her - hit her and choked her to death. KC throws her in the trunk. Goes to AL apartment to spend the night.
June 16th: First flurry of calls first attempt to clear the coast at home where KC wants to go scout the backyard area in advance trying to come up with ideas on what to do with Caylee; KC may have lounged around the pool while ideas floated on her head. I do not think the calls had anything to do something happening to Caylee that day. This first set of calls IMO were placed to clear the coast.
NOTE: Five weeks later GA will use Jun 16th as the last date he saw Caylee as he needs that date to explain the need for a "nanny". Per GA's statements he witnesses KC and Caylee leaving the house carrying backpacks; just like they would do on any given work day; he notices the clothes they had on - right pat down to KC's pinstripe pants indicating work pants here these details he says he can remember five weeks later - to me this is an alibi date which is needed as it would not make sense to say that KC needed a babysitter on the 15th.
June 17th: KC still thinking of what to do; not sure what to do yet.
June 18th: Second set of flurry of phone calls; coast is clear. Goes to As home; parks Pontiacs back end in; removes Caylee from trunk, hides her in the sandbox (cadaver dogs hit; first time body is exposed to natural elements so fly eggs can be laid on body); looks around for shovel; cant find the shovel; borrows shovel from neighbor; starts digging but plan is aborted within one hour digging is not as easy as she thought; hot/humid day; she is also nervous that one of her parents would show up; KC aborts this plan and returns the shovel. Caylee is brought out of the sandbox and transferred back in the trunk; KC will think of an alternate plan.
June 19th- 23rd: KC drives around scouting possible areas for disposal of body (cell phone pings all over); however there is no sense of hurriedness as neither decomposition nor its smell are an issue yet. KC takes it easy and is playing it day by day going out clubbing, riding on other vehicles, surfing the net for ideas. As time passes a new plan emerged as follows: abandon and burn the vehicle - faking a carjacking. This would eliminate evidence and she can easily blame it all on a carjacking taking place. Sometime between those dates she has TL drive her to the As home; she breaks in the As shed and steals the gas cans. She may have told TL that she needed the gas cans because of a broken car gas gauge and they would come in handy just in case. KC is starting to feel confident that the story about the carjacking with Caylee inside the vehicle will fly.
June 24th: KC goes to As home. Earlier that day she spoke to CA who told KC about the gas cans being stolen a situation that now fills KC with some preoccupation that the planned carjacking/burning will not work because a police report has been filed. The police could tie the two crimes together something she was not banking on. KC comes over to the house "to pick up some clothes" but in reality she needs to be filled in about what is going on ("its too bad what happened in the shed" comment to GA) before her plan can take place.
All along GA was extremely annoyed about the gas cans and something instinctively told him to check the Pontiac. To this point he has no idea what has happened to Caylee. ONE MORE THING - GA may have noticed a spot in the garden was looking a little strange - people who do their own gardens can notice little differences that others cannot. At any rate, GA comes up with some excuse to get in the trunk to look for the missing gas cans. He either goes in the trunk or very near it detecting the strong odor of decomposition. He is totally stunned and does not know what to say or how to act. A quick acting KC insults the father and takes off and a car chase ensued (GA has left LE to figure out the actual date of the chase as GA does not seem to recall the date during the interviews; CA has a problem with GA talking about this date to the FBI).
My theory is that later on that evening GA is able to convince KC to let him help her; he tells her that he is not going to turn her in and promises that he will not tell CA, he pleads with his daughter to let him in so he can help her. He had to have asked KC what has happened and she probably lied to him and said something about this being an accident. GA assesses the situation at hand and right off the bat he knows that there isnt much time to think/act at this point. He does feel bad for his granddaughter and he wants to give Caylee somewhat of a "proper burial." GA instructs KC to come back the next day when he will take care of the body.
June 25th: GA has come up with the solution bury her in the back of the house, from his point of view no one is going to question him for gardening his backyard. Caylees body is transferred to a sealed container. GA will wait for CA to leave for work then start digging a hole deep enough that cadaver dogs would not be able to sniff; at least 4 feet below. Later on he will seal the area by placing pavers or a shed on top of the burial site (reports of concrete poured over 4th July weekend). Initially he probably used flowers for the site.
June 26th: The previous day GA was busy with the burial. Today is the day that the vehicle is taken care of they must get rid of the vehicle. This probably happened soon after he got off from work late the night of the 26th. Ideally he would like for it to be stolen (purse left open). GA picked a spot that is visible for him to see the vehicle off a main busy street this way he can track for himself what happens to the vehicle and when all from a distance. KC and GA together abandon the car at the Amscot store parking it next to a dumpster this works in another sinister way in case it is found by LE it will throw off the investigators to look for a body in a landfill. GA drops KC back at ALs apartment sometime after midnight.
Someone (I believe GA) thinks of the trash bag containing old pizza and laundry detergent needing to be placed in the trunk. Also, at some point KC may have used the chloroform to rid trunk of evidence.
June 27th Although the car has been abandoned GA is worried about something; how will KC explain to her boyfriend that she no longer has the vehicle as of the previous night the question may come up as to who gave her a ride the night before? They need to pretend the car broke down while she was driving it on the 27th. It is daytime and GA does not want to be seen nowhere near the Amscot nor ALs apartment. He also needs to transfer the freezer items (nuggets/popsicles intended for Caylee) to KC that way if CA asks what happened to those items he can easily tell her that KC picked them up for Caylee, something to which CA would not object and something that will prevent CA from becoming concerned about Caylee. So GA picks KC near ALs apartment, drops her off near the Amscot. GA hands over the pops and nuggets to KC. She walks over to the corner where she calls AL to be picked up and she will tell AL the car broke down or ran out of gas.
Time passes by and no one is questioning anything. KC and GA are playing it day by day. A USPS notice shows up early in July (date is dependant on GA to clarify). This is the first Notice of Registered Letter arriving at the As. According to them they miss the notice because the mailman left it at the front door and they normally use the garage door. That is nonsense; the mailman never ever leaves those pick up notes at anyones door. Mail that is actual letters and official USPS notices are to be left only in a USPS approved mailbox container. As a matter of fact this is a postal regulation that ALL mail must be left at a USPS approved mailbox. Packages however can be left at the door if the mailman himself thinks it is ok. But letters nor USPS official notices cannot be left at a door. I think GA actually got the notice, realized car was impounded but needed to buy more time here (perhaps worried about the smell; Cindy finding out and freaking out, perhaps to finish the pavers/ obtain shed for the back??).
July 15th- with all the serious incidents that went on that day it is interesting to note that GA is not involved in locating KC. According to some reports he disappears and is not answering his cellphone yet he does call Lee to the rescue. Some reports will say he is supposedly sent to work by CA. What father goes on about his schedule after discovering his vehicle with the smell of death inside of it. This is too telling, as if there was no need to freak out and pretend nothing has happened show must go on GA must act like I know nothing, keep my cool, stay away from drama, not lead anyone into thinking there is anything wrong. There are some other things about GA's demeanor that have been very telling from the beginning; example - how come....
-GA did not go with CA to locate KC the eve of Jul 15th. I think if my hubby and I were to find our vehicle smelling like death my hubby for sure DROP whatever his schedule was to locate our kids?? Why was he not involved? To me it is telling because if already knew what was going on, just like other men he would not be interested in the drama about to ensue dealing with a freaked-out wife who is just now finding out.
-He refers to little Caylee as "that little girl" -as if in remembrance of her no longer with us; a phrase with a past sense connotation to it?
-GA, after KC, is the most uninvolved of the family members in the search. One day out the blue he goes overboard with a professionally done billboard towed off his car; he said he was going to drive this everywhere forever until Caylee was found. What is he making up for?
-Hmmm the chase situation that so far has not much of an explanation. GA told LE he was not sure of the date of the chase (but he does remember KC's "pin stripe pants"). This is very telling.
-Polygraph being turned down; searches of the backyard are an issue.
-Different versions of how he came upon the gas cans. Told Greta VS that he himself went in the car and found the gas cans there; tells LE that KC handed the gas cans to him.
Anyone wants to add, question anything about this proposed timeline please do so...
