What Is The Key Date to Solving This Crime?

I wonder if "She's close; she's safe" is LA's house?

I have been wondering the same thing. Is Caylee still buried in the backyard? Could that explain why George and Cindy aren't out looking for her? Casey probably told them that if they told on her, Caylee's little body would be moved.

Could the exact opposite happened? She had Caylee buried somewhere else and dug her up and took her to her parents to bury; hence the reason of needing to borrow the shovel?

I agree..this is the last VERIFIABLE date she was seen. And with the fight on the 15th heard by the neighbors...she left pissed and I think that evening is when she did Caylee in. I bet she put her into the trunk that eve. I don't believe a word George says about seeing her on the 16th. She borrows the shovel 3 days later on the 18th and attempts to bury the body in the backyard. On the 24th, "the infamous gas cans discovery day", George helps her move the body from the yard to wherever she is now.

Only 1 of a few theories that come to mind...

I think June 16th is the key date. I have no reason to doubt GA. He might have 'altered' a few statements to appease CA but I just don't get the feeling that he would cover up or lie for his daughter. CA might but I don't think GA would.

I believe that she left on the 16th with Caylee (perhaps not the timing that GA gave but I do believe that he saw her leave with the baby on the 16th at some point). She then did her 'Vindictive B&%$#' act (to 'get even' over the fight with CA from the previous night). Then she freaked out, tried to call for help. When he couldn't get ahold of anyone she moved into 'cover up/lying' mode and tried to pretend that nothing happened. I truly believe that she is sick and twisted enough to purposely do a 'vindictive' act towards her daughter and not have the foresight/ability to realize the aftermath of such actions.

I think there was a glimmer of hope for her on the 16th when she probably freaked out and realized she did something very bad and needed help. I think that was probably a very fleeting moment and things just went downhill from there.

The key date to solving this crime isn't going to be the date of Caylee's demise/disappearance. It's going to be the date Casey got rid of her. If that can be pinpointed through conversations, maps, online posts, cell pings, cell calls, conversations, interviews and sightings, then we've got it beat. Once she is found the testing begins for approximate date/time of death.

George's story of the events of June 16th have all the earmarks of a fabricated story. I think he concocted his story after consulting a tv schedule and based his description of what Casey and Caylee were wearing on what items of clothing he and Cindy found in the car after bringing it home from the impound yard.

ITA. And IIRC, George remember's too many details about what they were wearing, what he was watching on TV. I don't know any may that would remember that many details. Sounds like a story Cindy concocted and instructed George to tell. Kinda like the "details" she remembered from the car accident Casey supposedly witnessed.

Also, do some people that detail/clean cars use gasoline to remove tar, etc.?
Because I have thought the same thing about keeping that many gas cans.

Very good point. Evidence will be tied to the day/manner Casey got rid of the body. Date/time/MO for Caylee's death will be tied to June 15th (Father's Day). Just my opinion :).

I believe it's going to be the night of June 15th after Casey and Cindy's big fight. Possibly up to the very wee hours of the morning on the 16th.

The easy answer would be, the morning of June 16th. Or maybe the afternoon when GA said he saw them leave? Did he really see them leave? The night of the 15th?

What is the most important part of the timeline, that if verified by your own eyes, would hold the most answers to what really hapened to Caylee?

I tend to go with something happened to Caylee the night of the 15th or wee hours 16th. The only problem is George and it's a huge problem with facts as we have them. How would the prosecution get around his statement? I think it forces us to go with 1pm the 16th as last time Caylee was seen.

That leaves me with disposing of Caylee being the more critical date to determine. I can't nail myself down to a date on that yet. The 16th mon-19th thurs would make the most sense but there's the smell in the car trunk so strong as late as July 16th.

That makes me move to a later disposal timeframe of June 23rd mon -June 26th Thurs. I leave weekends out because following old texts to current texts etc it leads me to believe Casey was all about party on the weekends. So I nix them for a disposal date.

I further narrow down my timeline looking at weather. This leads me to June 23rd (mon)and June 24th(tues) as my focus dates. I need to research these 2 days better to see how it all fits. I think the pings are going to help me decide if these are the important dates.

Though, the 17th throws me off because sometime 15th/16th Caylee was last seen and Casey pings off the beaten path near the airport on the 17th

But I can't see how the odor was in the trunk was so strong if the 17th was the disposal date. Did Casey realize that pings could be her downfall and set that area up as a decoy? is she that clever?

Anyhoo..17th? 23rd? 24th?

For me, as with many, the Red Flag Date is June 15. Casey was supposed to connect with her oldest & best friend Ryan Paysley and go visiting. Casey fails to follow through. A friend claims to have seen Casey on that date but Casey denies it. (Bears looking into. May have been at a location that puts her story in jeopardy.) Caylee is given to Cindy so the two can visit up in Mt. Dora. When & how did this hand-off occur? Many details about June 15 could help us understand what preceded Caylee's disappearance. I also agree that the pregnant pause after the interview question about parking the car at Amscot has meaning. "Before or after Caylee went missing?"---dead air---the q. was too close to some guilty truth, fer shure.

Tuba, I bumped up the Chris S. interview for you(seen casey jogging, she denied it)...the other thread was deleted.

To me the key date would be June 24th - upon discovery of gas cans there was also an accidental discovery of either an odor or a body as well. What do you think of the THEORETICAL timeline below - an attempt to explain how it all went down:

• June 15th: Argument at the Anthony’s home. In my theory the argument was not just about the stolen money but also something else that is very personal to KC. Did Caylee say something to grandma CA as they drove earlier that day to/from visiting the great-grandparents indisposing KC’s behavior, perhaps something related to the boyfriend, adult parties, nightclubbing, being near drugs, witnessing mom having sex? KC left extremely irate at not just her mother’s treatment later but also at Caylee for putting her on the spot. She lashes out on Caylee. I think she got violent with her - hit her and choked her to death. KC throws her in the trunk. Goes to AL apartment to spend the night.
• June 16th: First flurry of calls –first attempt to clear the coast at home where KC wants to go scout the backyard area in advance trying to come up with ideas on what to do with Caylee; KC may have lounged around the pool while ideas floated on her head. I do not think the calls had anything to do something happening to Caylee that day. This first set of calls IMO were placed to clear the coast.
NOTE: Five weeks later GA will use Jun 16th as the last date he saw Caylee as he needs that date to explain the need for a "nanny". Per GA's statements he witnesses KC and Caylee leaving the house carrying backpacks; just like they would do on any given work day; he notices the clothes they had on - right pat down to KC's pinstripe pants – indicating “work” pants here – these details he says he can remember five weeks later - to me this is an alibi date which is needed as it would not make sense to say that KC needed a babysitter on the 15th.
• June 17th: KC still thinking of what to do; not sure what to do yet.
• June 18th: Second set of flurry of phone calls; coast is clear. Goes to A’s home; parks Pontiac’s back end in; removes Caylee from trunk, hides her in the sandbox (cadaver dogs hit; first time body is exposed to natural elements so fly eggs can be laid on body); looks around for shovel; can’t find the shovel; borrows shovel from neighbor; starts digging but plan is aborted within one hour – digging is not as easy as she thought; hot/humid day; she is also nervous that one of her parents would show up; KC aborts this plan and returns the shovel. Caylee is brought out of the sandbox and transferred back in the trunk; KC will think of an alternate plan.
• June 19th- 23rd: KC drives around scouting possible areas for disposal of body (cell phone pings all over); however there is no sense of hurriedness as neither decomposition nor its smell are an issue yet. KC takes it easy and is playing it “day by day” going out clubbing, riding on other vehicles, surfing the net for ideas. As time passes a new plan emerged as follows: abandon and burn the vehicle - faking a carjacking. This would eliminate evidence and she can easily blame it all on a carjacking taking place. Sometime between those dates she has TL drive her to the A’s home; she breaks in the A’s shed and steals the gas cans. She may have told TL that she needed the gas cans because of a broken car gas gauge and they would come in handy “just in case.” KC is starting to feel confident that the story about the carjacking with Caylee inside the vehicle will fly.
• June 24th: KC goes to A’s home. Earlier that day she spoke to CA who told KC about the gas cans being stolen – a situation that now fills KC with some preoccupation that the planned carjacking/burning will not work because a police report has been filed. The police could tie the two crimes together – something she was not banking on. KC comes over to the house "to pick up some clothes" but in reality she needs to be filled in about what is going on ("its too bad what happened in the shed" comment to GA) before her plan can take place.

All along GA was extremely annoyed about the gas cans and something instinctively told him to check the Pontiac. To this point he has no idea what has happened to Caylee. ONE MORE THING - GA may have noticed a spot in the garden was looking a little strange - people who do their own gardens can notice little differences that others cannot. At any rate, GA comes up with some excuse to get in the trunk to look for the missing gas cans. He either goes in the trunk or very near it detecting the strong odor of decomposition. He is totally stunned and does not know what to say or how to act. A quick acting KC insults the father and takes off and a car chase ensued (GA has left LE to figure out the actual date of the chase as GA does not seem to recall the date during the interviews; CA has a problem with GA talking about this date to the FBI).

My theory is that later on that evening GA is able to convince KC to let him help her; he tells her that he is not going to turn her in and promises that he will not tell CA, he pleads with his daughter to let him in so he can help her. He had to have asked KC what has happened and she probably lied to him and said something about this being an accident. GA assesses the situation at hand and right off the bat he knows that there isn’t much time to think/act at this point. He does feel bad for his granddaughter and he wants to give Caylee somewhat of a "proper burial." GA instructs KC to come back the next day when he will take care of the body.

• June 25th: GA has come up with the solution – bury her in the back of the house, from his point of view no one is going to question him for gardening his backyard. Caylee’s body is transferred to a sealed container. GA will wait for CA to leave for work then start digging a hole deep enough that cadaver dogs would not be able to sniff; at least 4 feet below. Later on he will seal the area by placing pavers or a shed on top of the burial site (reports of concrete poured over 4th July weekend). Initially he probably used flowers for the site.

• June 26th: The previous day GA was busy with the burial. Today is the day that the vehicle is taken care of – they must get rid of the vehicle. This probably happened soon after he got off from work late the night of the 26th. Ideally he would like for it to be stolen (purse left open). GA picked a spot that is visible for him to see the vehicle off a main busy street this way he can track for himself what happens to the vehicle and when all from a distance. KC and GA together abandon the car at the Amscot store parking it next to a dumpster –this works in another sinister way in case it is found by LE it will throw off the investigators to look for a body in a landfill. GA drops KC back at AL’s apartment sometime after midnight.

Someone (I believe GA) thinks of the trash bag containing old pizza and laundry detergent needing to be placed in the trunk. Also, at some point KC may have used the chloroform to rid trunk of evidence.

• June 27th – Although the car has been abandoned GA is worried about something; how will KC explain to her boyfriend that she no longer has the vehicle as of the previous night – the question may come up as to who gave her a ride the night before? They need to pretend the car broke down while she was driving it on the 27th. It is daytime and GA does not want to be seen nowhere near the Amscot nor AL’s apartment. He also needs to transfer the freezer items (nuggets/popsicles intended for Caylee) to KC that way if CA asks what happened to those items he can easily tell her that KC picked them up for Caylee, something to which CA would not object and something that will prevent CA from becoming concerned about Caylee. So GA picks KC near AL’s apartment, drops her off near the Amscot. GA hands over the pops and nuggets to KC. She walks over to the corner where she calls AL to be picked up and she will tell AL the car broke down or ran out of gas.

• Time passes by and no one is questioning anything. KC and GA are playing it day by day. A USPS notice shows up early in July (date is dependant on GA to clarify). This is the first “Notice of Registered Letter” arriving at the A’s. According to them they miss the notice because the mailman “left it at the front door” and they normally use the garage door. That is nonsense; the mailman never ever leaves those “pick up notes” at anyone’s door. Mail that is actual letters and official USPS notices are to be left only in a USPS approved mailbox container. As a matter of fact this is a postal regulation that ALL mail must be left at a USPS approved mailbox. Packages however can be left at the door if the mailman himself thinks it is ok. But letters nor USPS official notices cannot be left at a door. I think GA actually got the notice, realized car was impounded but needed to buy more time here (perhaps worried about the smell; Cindy finding out and freaking out, perhaps to finish the pavers/ obtain shed for the back??).

• July 15th- with all the serious incidents that went on that day it is interesting to note that GA is not involved in locating KC. According to some reports he disappears and is not answering his cellphone yet he does call Lee to the rescue. Some reports will say he is supposedly “sent to work” by CA. What father goes on about his schedule after discovering his vehicle with the smell of death inside of it. This is too telling, as if there was no need to freak out and pretend nothing has happened “show must go on” GA must act like I know nothing, keep my cool, stay away from drama, not lead anyone into thinking there is anything wrong. There are some other things about GA's demeanor that have been very telling from the beginning; example - how come....
• -GA did not go with CA to locate KC the eve of Jul 15th. I think if my hubby and I were to find our vehicle smelling like death my hubby for sure DROP whatever his schedule was to locate our kids?? Why was he not involved? To me it is telling because if already knew what was going on, just like other men he would not be interested in the drama about to ensue dealing with a freaked-out wife who is just now finding out.
• -He refers to little Caylee as "that little girl" -as if in remembrance of her no longer with us; a phrase with a past sense connotation to it?
• -GA, after KC, is the most uninvolved of the family members in the search. One day out the blue he goes overboard with a professionally done billboard towed off his car; he said he was going to drive this everywhere forever until Caylee was found. What is he making up for?
• -Hmmm the chase situation that so far has not much of an explanation. GA told LE he was not sure of the date of the chase (but he does remember KC's "pin stripe pants"). This is very telling.
• -Polygraph being turned down; searches of the backyard are an issue.
• -Different versions of how he came upon the gas cans. Told Greta VS that he himself went in the car and found the gas cans there; tells LE that KC handed the gas cans to him.

Anyone wants to add, question anything about this proposed timeline please do so...

I am going by my chart analysis. I still think it was very late at night on the 17th, wee hours of the morning on the 18th.

But, I could be wrong.

(I was once, I think)

I'm going with the night of the 15th..morning of the 16th. I don't believe GA saw Caylee or Casey on the 16th. Too many things sketch me out about GA's recalling..he reported that Caylee was last seen wearing the EXACT same thing a friend of the A's saw her wearing on the 12th of June. Of course Caylee wasn't missing then however early on when everyone originally went with the 9th GA reported a Caylee siting. Anyway I just find it odd, right down to the white rimmed sunglasses he mentioned which is exactly what friends of the family said they saw Caylee in. He goes into too much detail about her clothes IMO like he is covering up something. I wouldn't be surprised if Caylee wasn't in her white shorts and blue top from the nursing home visit or her PJ's when KC took her.

I also go back to the GVS interview where GA slips and says he was watching the news until CA prompts him with "before work"..then he spits out the Food Network stuff. I tend to think he was watching the evening news around 11-11:30 pm when he got off...which would be "after work" which he was describing hence CA's BEFORE WORK comment. JMO.

KC has too much pride to be persecuted by her mother and stay in that house once accused. She took Caylee with her our of complete spite, IMO and left. In a fit of rage she IMO hurt Caylee and disposed of her precious innocent little body.

Thanks Melly :blowkiss:

I'm trying to figure out why KC would say the 9th though. She keep repeating that was the last time she saw Caylee. What happened on the 9th? I just don't understand why she simply didn't say the 15th or 16th..

I have never understood why ALL of them said the 9th. It was not like one person made a mistake and the other's remembered different, but ALL 4 of them told the same date. Something was very wrong with this from the beginning.
It was LE who "corrected" their dates after the video and checking with the nursing home.

I *think* going by Casey's comments to police, they used fathers day as their last date. I think they assumed father's day to be 1st Sunday in June, they all knew Caylee went Sun with Cindy to ggp's. I use my computer time/date thing all the time, no listed holidays.

Casey tells Lee according to his statements, according to Cindy's 911 --it's 31 days since Caylee was last seen. Casey was counting the days since her chitty deed.

Cindy imo just looked at a calendar with no listed holidays (cell phone? computer?)and assumed 1st Sunday in June (8th) was last date for her to have Caylee, so she gave the 9th as a date. All in Anthony family follow mom's lead, imo.

:waitasec:does anyone know how to add a post from another thread as a quote? I did a time line on another thread....and I dont know how to quote it here....LOL

Anyone wants to add, question anything about this proposed timeline please do so...

I agree with your theory..George empathizes with Casey as he is under the same control from Cindy...he is in on the disposal of the body..but I think they did it on the 24th between 3:30 AND 7 pm...SEE HER PHONE RECORDS

Is there any way that you can link to these phone records??? (The thread is incredibly long and full of details...Very difficult to find info. at the moment.)

MAYBE on June 15th, Casey told her mom that Caylee is dead, or, you will never see her again, etc., and thats why Cindy strangled Casey! I think Caylee was dead the week prior and the whole "Father's Day" alibi is faulty. For some unknown reason, the entire family pointed to the week PRIOR...WHY? What reason could they all have to mislead everyone back to the 8th/9th of June? (unless) they were actually being honest....and....Caylee's burial is tied in with the dead jogger!!!
