When Did the Anthony Family Know Caylee was Gone?

  • #61
I remember at one point Cindy going to Baez's office, and I think the media caught her leaving, and she looked absolutely devastated. I think that's the day that she learned the true story, that Caylee was in fact dead. I think she knew it in her heart before that, but couldn't admit it. But with Baez in front of her telling her Caylee was dead, I think she couldn't deny it anymore. That, and I think he asked her and George (I can't remember if he was there that day, I just remember Cindy being there) to keep up the Caylee sightings because that would benefit Casey. The last thing Baez wanted at that point was for Caylee's body to be found. I think he was instrumental in DC being sent to almost the exact spot. I don't think Casey told her parents directly. I think she told Baez, and Baez chose to go on a body recovery mission. I do think the A's wanted to, but Casey wouldn't tell them where to look. I think that day, Baez told Cindy where the body was and that it had to be recovered. I think he told her to send DC down there to get it. I don't believe for a second that Baez wasn't complicit in this. He just found a way for it to not be directly connected to him. Too bad DC was never paid, or he might have shut up and never said anything about Baez telling him to call him first if he found a body. If Baez knew nothing about where the body was, why would he say that to DC?

So I think they were in denial until that day at Baez's office, or at least Cindy was. George I think knew before that, but couldn't bring himself to make Cindy see it too. I think any denial after that has been planned in an effort to save Casey at any cost. They know Caylee is dead. Casey is just far more important to them, and they are willing to sacrifice Caylee in many ways to see Casey free. It's mind boggling.

Plus if DC had just gotten a tip from a psychic why would he have called JB when he did not find anything? What would be the point? DC said JB told him if he found anything to call him. What made this time different???? jmo

I can't imagine Cindy didn't at least get some sort of admission from KC during the time she was so inappropriately on house arrest (spending 8 hour days at Baez office to sell pictures of her victim).

I dunno....I think KC still hated CA, I think she still does. I am inclined to believe that KC wanted to tell somebody, just can't picture that somebody being CA. Maybe she intimated something to AnnieD?

I am seeing where you are going with this, but as unprofessional and downright loopey as JB is, I don't think he would take it upon himself to break his privilege with KC in order to tell CA. Remember, GA/LA had nothing much nice to say about JB and CA tried to get KC to talk to DC while JB was out of town, behind JB's back.
Now, perhaps JB thought his contract with DC covered his bases as far as telling DC. However, if I am assuming correctly, telling DC anything his client (KC) told him also violates privilege.

Ynot...I'll piggy back your thoughts but add in...When the tests from the pontiacs trunk came back, mid August...Evidence suggested an allegedly human decomp event took place in that trunk and laid there for 2.6 days...they knew absolutely by then but started in with the false Caylee sightings soon after...up until that November silent interview...it's then it could have been absolute, for them....JMHO

Justice for Caylee
I'll see your response and raise you one.
According to Casey (per the CPS report), Cindy had a knowing feeling inside if something bad happened about her and her brother. This ability of Cindy's (which Casey claims to possess as well) would suggest that Cindy knew during the month long disappearing act Casey pulled before the car was recovered at the tow yard.
And it must be true.
Casey says so.

You could be right. Maybe it was DC as the middle man going between Baez and the family. But then why was Cindy devastated as she left Baez's office that one day? If he didn't tell about her Caylee, what could he have possibly told her that made her so upset?

Or maybe it wasn't Baez she talked to? Maybe he left the room and let DC talk to her? Somehow, I think DC is at the center of this. The fact that Cindy gave a bear to a psychic that was later talking on the phone with DC as he looked for the body that Baez told him to call him about first is just too coincidental to me. I'm starting to think DC was supposed to be a big patsy for them, but when the state took an interest in him, he probably did decide to talk and that's why they backed away from him so fast. Maybe that's why he never got paid. Maybe they intentionally didn't want him to really be connected to anyone, not the defense or the A's.

Good Morning Everyone !
Ah, I am excited to see this thread topic. If we had Cindy's text msg's to Casey we'd know a bit more on their convo's in June. Boy I wish we had those ! If you remember back when investigators took Sindy's phone, she asked them if they could get everything off her phone, and she seemed a bit concerned as to what they could pull off of it. ( red flag to me)
Before the first 911 call we know that Cindy had spoke with Casey before they got the car at amscot, or just right after. ( I believe in the 911 hearing L.D.B was trying to establish this in her way of questioning) Casey supposedly told Sindy that Caylee was with zanny. ( cough cough). ( We only know what Casey said to her because Cindy said its what she said)
We know that G/C both knew the car was the tow yard before Sindy spoke w/ Casey too. The flurry of calls from the house starting the weekend the car was at amscot, is very suspicious to me. ( Why?) Because Sindy took June 27th off for "matters to be handled at home". according to her boss. This is when she also began another vacation for the July 4th holiday. I certainly do believe they all knew Caylee was gone for many reasons. This being one of them. We also have the new cement being poured, we have a dedicated employee suddenly taking off work, Casey was home that morning of June 27th before she dumped the car at amscot, and Tony picked her up with frozen food from home. ( connection).
George would have been home too, because he worked afternoons. Then we have the alleged gas can incident report on June 24th. Why wouldn't G's first instinct be " damn you Casey" ? After discovering the shed broke into ( she didnt have a key), and they knew she had no money. ( it states that in the Sindy's myspace...).

Did they know ??? you bet they did. All in my opinion of course.

Add to that George asking for a new start date at Andrews Int'l.
"I would appreciate starting on July 7, 2008 instead of July 1, 2008. I have some personal matters that I need to rectify.
"...as I need this opportunity to assist my spouse (wife) with some additional medical tests that I just found out about will go into the week of June 30 to July 4, 2008."
Email Sent Friday, June 20, 2008.
At first, I thought GA just wanted the July 4th off, but reading it now, hmmm. Medical tests?

No disrepect intended, but I don't believe in psychic abilities that are not based in real fact or memory, especially not from a chick that lives in Mechanicsville, Va. (You might have to be a Virginian to understand why I would doubt the wits of anyone from Mechanicsville :) )
.

I'm from Charlottesville and I totally get that. LOL!!

Well, if this incident took place after Casey was sent back to jail, let's not forget the Casey letter fiasco where it became pretty clear Baez was sneaking correspondence back and forth between Casey and the A's. It's possible Cindy was given a letter from Casey with this information in it.

I distinctly remember an interview (I think it was over the phone) between the psychic and most probably NG. They were discussing the phone conversation between the psychic and DC over DC's cell phone while DC was searching the woods. The psychic claimed the DC DID find the body and was totally freaked out over it. Does anyone else remember this or know where it can be found? Is the psychic on the State's witness list? Will be interesting to see if anything more comes out about this at trial.

If CA had any real denial, or doubt, it was all gone by the time she and GA attended the first bond hearing. As they left the hearing they were questioned by Media and they kept walking- as they walked CA told the 'leave a Pizza in a hot car' story. She absolutely knew at that point, and was in full cover-up mode.

Fummy feeling here. I have been speculating about this. I always wondered in maybe Mommy Dearest (ICA) told Grandma Dearest something about beautiful precious Caylee having died , maybe saying it was accidental, before the last 911 call. Perhaps TOGETHER some people came up with the "nanny took Caylee" story. Yeah, that's what they will pretend, and that's why there was, what, over 1/2 hour between 911 call #2 and 911 call # 3 . This is a personal opinion ONLY. These people give us a lot to speculate and to MISCONSTRUE. My opinion, again.

I don't think so just because Cindy was beyond distraught on this call and could barely say Caylee's name. If she knew she HAD DIED, she would not have called anyone YET. They would have banded together and Cindy was not in the frame yet. She never would have said the car smells like a dead body. This statement from her is extremely damning to KC.

This is not to say in her heart she DID NOT know that the child was dead. I believe she did and was grasping for anything that would take this feeling away, hoping that the child could be found.

Definitely! Also, Sean Krauss, who has since died I believe, tells Yuri and JA in an interview that he called Cindy in November and said "I believe KC murdered Caylee". He said there was a silence on the phone and he took that to mean agreement. She subsequently told him (in the call) she believed KC was involved. This is per Sean Krauss.

Aedrys, I'm with you here. I think Casey spilled to Baez, ( perhaps on one of their cozy office chats), and they figured DC to be the perfect fall guy. If he found the body, They could dispose of it, and the case against Casey had less steam. As soon as Baez gave DC the specifics, I think he figured out pretty quickly just how devious this whole bunch was, and started adding up all the laws he'd be breaking, especially if he found the body, and if he TOLD BAEZ WHERE IT WAS! Fortunately for him, he was very close to finding Caylee's little bones, but didn't. He stuck around for a while, because if I recall he was with the ANT team at the RITZ on the day the remains were being recovered in December. Then they really all backed away from that scheme post haste.

I don't think ICA has confessed to anyone. I'm not sure Baez knew exactly where the remaiins were, but am sure he knew DC was going down to Suburban Drive to scope it out. If DC had found the remains Baez would have been on the phone to Geraldo to give him the exclusive $$$ way before he called 911.

You know you could be right. It would explain why JB wanted to take KC out and ride around in different areas to "look for Caylee" when she was out on bail. My guess is he wanted the exact location from her without anyone else around. Could be she told him it was an accident and failed to mention the duct tape. jmo

I agree. She is not going to admit anything to anyone. She is the proverbial sociopath who believes they can't prove I did it, because they did not see me do it.

Worth adding that CA knew things were bad before she/GA even found KC's car...
