When Was Haleigh Last Seen?

I saw it at the Bald site many months ago, and I know that present mark that is now under the 24th of February was not there when I last viewed the record...
Those U's for unexcused abscences for the week after the 9th were there , but not the mark that indicates a child is present....JMO

How do you know that a dot indicates that a child is present? TIA

An interview with her teacher would be wonderful.........
we would get to know what history Haleigh really had at school,
how she was really dressed, cared for, clean, tardy and mostly what did Haleigh ever say at school about her home life.
My children, grandchildren tell all at school.
They love and adore their teachers at that age...........usually teachers are best friends.
Teachers have an instinct also on children that need extra attention, care and love.

I found the attendance record at this site. The poster altered it to explain the abbrevations.

I guess it got copied here without proper credit going to the person who altered it and the explanation why. Also, no link to where it came from except for AH, which Elle linked but the grid/green does not show up at AH, so he did not alter it, the poster at SM did. It has caused a lot of confusion. Isn't that a no-no? Copying someone else's work and not linking it?

The link won't go through-it must be a no-no, oh well I just wanted to explain where I found who altered the attendance record. It is at the Scared Monkeys Haleigh forum.

IF
T = Tardy
U =Unexcused abscence
E = Excused Abscence

I would think a dot would indicate the child is present and accounted for in school..JMO

I believe the dot on the 24th was always there. I remember some spirited discussions when it first came to light. However, I am still of the belief that the 9th of February was altered in some way, either by the school, or someone else. The vagueness of THAT day is just too much weirdness, even for this case.

Thank you for that. I can't get that monkey site to open in my browser, never have been able to, when I try it locks up my computer. S'okay though.

I don't see a difference in the document that is posted here at WS and the one at AH. Might need a new pair of glasses, what kind of conspiracy would there be to alter the document like that? Very strange IMO

BBM.. Could very well be the case, but I don't recall ever seeing it.. I do remember thinking when I saw all those' U's after the 9th how insensitive to mark her abscences unexcused when she is missing..JMO

There is no difference in the document you posted here from the AH site (and also that I linked to in the document thread-post #18 top document-NOT the one with the grid added).

There was no conspiracy from the poster at SM that altered it-she added the grid so it is easier to read and the explanations to what the abbrevations mean and how many days for tardy, etc.(in green type)

Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse the issue any more than it already is!

Found this....it was posted here before but I cold only find it over at AH

I guess click to open it?

elle, just wanted to let you and everyone else know that I have a saved copy of HaLeigh's school attendance record, dated March 3, 2009, when I originally saved it, that I'd be happy to post if neccesary - I'm at school until 6 p.m. and won't get home until approximately 7-ish this evening though. I opened it, compared the two docs and I see no difference whatsoever between the one from AH's site recently (hope I've got that right - sorry, hurrying here) and the one that I saved way back in March 09'. If I get the chance (time) to upload and post it sooner I will - course if Whip comes along, she may have a copy of the same one that I have - Be back later.

From reading this article it seems Haleigh was at school that Monday. Not sure if Ron was the one to pick her up since several people have said it was Misty.

One Year Ago: Haleigh last seen alive

<snipped>
One year ago today Haleigh woke up and got ready for another day of kindergarten. It's the last time her classmates and teacher at Browning Pearce Elementary in San Mateo have seen her.

That afternoon of February 9, 2009, Haleigh came home and her father, Ronald, met her at the bus stop.

If we go by the eyewitness reports as to when and where Haleigh was last seen, it would seem they would be the most reliable because they are not the family and have no dog in this fight. So, she got off the bus around 3:45pm, correct?

In my mind, that is the last time she was "officially" seen alive.

The "Rose" and "Blood in the van" has always bothered me.

Did anyone else get the impressin that Misty really was threatened when she did the voice analysis? The way she said "noboby told me NOT to tell nothing about where Haleigh is". Then she rambled about she was not scared of dying and she would gladly give her life for Haleigh's. I got the impression she may have had the old gun in the mouth trick again. Didn't she allude to such? I have to review that tape. I thought she said nobody put a gun in her mouth...oh, I can't recall, better go look.

Some of you experts with the maps and routes could you please look at where the red rose was located and let me know where that highway goes. Could this be the location where Haleigh may have been severely injured. Could Ron have been chasing Misty and Haleigh was not wearing a seatbelt and was severely injured during the chase? Still thinking about the van damage and Misty's comment about the blood and the rose.

I have stared at this attendance record until I'm cross-eyed and I still see something funny about Feb. 9th. There is a dot . but there is also a partial right side of a U. Like an unexcused mark was erased and a dot put there. That is just the way I see it.

i see the same thing. I have enlarged it and looked and looked. There is a right side of a U and a . (dot)
Now the question is WHY?

Lone and Baxter, I've studied it and studied it, enlarged it, and I see the same thing as both of you. :waitasec:

We have two documents for attendance being explained. The one on our site has taken the original and elaborated on it with typing by explaining the symbols. I take the original as being the one AH posted. It is a pdf. file under haleigh-absent.pdf.

The second one was framed with lines and typing to explain things...which to me was unnecessary. Someone thought it necessary for viewing I suppose.

I will go back to the supplier again and see what it says. And for information purposes they still make these things in carbons if the school likes. My checks are in carbons too, so it certainly isn't a lost art/technology/printcopy...lol

This is not a recent alteration; the . or half U was there from the very first. It is just as puzzling now as it was then.

I know Debs...

We have two forms though.
1. bare bones (which I think is the original)..see AH site
2. the other, enhanced with a graph and typing...see our site.

.....they both have the same information
