When was the last time Lisa was seen alive

I would hope that LE was doing everything possible at that point. But I don't believe that they were searching that pond because they thought that Lisa was missing from the house at an earlier time than stated by JI/DB.

Then why would they search it? Remember this is after the dog hit and the SW.

i didn't read anywhere in either article about trying to turn one parent against the other...

what i did read was LE doesn't believe the parents have told them everything they know and were trying to get to the truth which is when the parents clammed up !!

I would imagine LE searched that pond to see if Lisa was there. And obviously they didn't find her there. I'm still trying to find a connection with this search and when Lisa was last seen alive.

Back on topic. Has anyone seen any report that verified that Lisa was seen after Sunday night where the photos were taken at the party?

I assume by verified report you mean a statement by someone other than JI/DB. I haven't seen any. Does that mean that someone did see her alive on Monday and told LE that? That's possible.

The connection between the search and when Lisa was last seen is that if LE has a credible witness seeing BL alive at 6:40pm then they are not going to search the pond that is right behind where DB and PN went at 5:ish pm. If LE KNOWS Lisa was alive in the house after JI left for work, then there is no reason to believe she is in a pond behind the store where DB went earlier, at 5ish. DB doesn't drive SO on Oct. 27th, after Jersey was in custody, after there was the cadaver dog hit, after LE executed the SW, how did LE think Lisa might have gotten to the pond? LE was thinking that DB and PN could have disposed of her on their wine run.

I haven't seen anything. I still wonder who brought the boys home from school that day.

Maybe I'm missing something here. Is this pond search the only search conducted by LE after the Oct 19th search warrant on the house on Lister? And didn't LE know about the "wine run" weeks before? Why wait weeks to search that pond if there was a connection?

So do I have the timeline right?

Police have Festival Foods video by Oct. 9, 10 at the latest. Possibly earlier but Oct. 10 at the latest.

In your opinion, police decide that Phil Netz and Debbie Bradley dumped the body near the Festival Foods around 5 p.m. Oct. 3. Does it take 17 days to come to that conclusion or do they decide that right away?

And if they decided that right away, why wait until Oct. 27 to search the pond even though they had the video two-plus-weeks earlier? And why wait to ask Phil Netz about the video and the pond until Nov. 1?

And if they don't have video backing up Phil Netz's claim that they left the Festival Foods and headed straight home and dropped his sister off then why did they spend so little time interviewing him? they interviewed him Oct. 4. He wasn't interviewed again until Nov. 1.

And finally, since they didn't just search the banks but the actual pond itself how did PN and DB get a boat or some other means to get to the middle of the pond? Why did they go beyond the banks? If that's significant, how did PN and DB get access to the middle of the pond?

I think DB herself said on Dr. Phil that the questions aren't where Phil Netz was between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. but where he was AFTER 6:30 p.m. and before 4 a.m. and did he come back over to the Lister house.

All searches after Oct 6th were because of leads or new information LE had learned. LE knew about the wine run on Oct 10th, but they didn't take Jersey into custody until Oct 15th. I believe that they still thought he was their suspect until they brought him in. It's very obvious that whatever they learned from Jersey that they cleared him as a suspect, because a mere 2 days later they took a cadaver dog into the Lister home. Another 2 days after that, they executed the SW. During the 17 hour search they did luminol testing, probably took swabs, we know they took fibers and x-rays. All that took some time to process and go over the files. We also know during this time is when they wanted to re-interview the boys. They then searched the pond on Oct 27th. It's clear that whatever LE learned from Jersey, the search with the cadaver dog and the search on the 19th when the executed the SW, had them re-evaluating that timeline because they then went and searched the pond behind Festival Foods.

That's why we have that time between the discovery of the wine run and the search of the pond.

BBM1 See my post above.

BBM2 Nobody is saying they did, just that LE thought, on Oct 27th, that it was a possibility. . . and if LE thought it was possible, then they must not have confidence in the 6:40pm sighting.

Thank you for your reply.

So you think police were lying when they repeatedly said about various searches including the pond one you are talking about on Oct. 27 that it was NOT because of new information but clearing a geographic area?

Police said specifically that the pond was searched NOT because of new information. There were a number of searches after Oct. 6 in which that was the standard line.

I could give you a number of links but here's one. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/10/27/police-search-pond-for-missing-11-month-old-missouri-baby/

If LE limited searching after only two days to new leads I'd be surprised and disappointed. And for LE to re-evaluate the timeline at a later date to explain the pond search still doesn't work for me. JMO.

All police had to say was...we're not telling you why we searched that pond.

There are a number of things that they won't answer or discuss publicly. (Jeremy on tape, the lights, etc etc). They won't release the 911 call.

But they were very specific to everyone that the pond search was NOT because of a tip or lead but clearing a geographic area (or it could have been to put pressure on someone by such a public search but that's another thread).

They could have said we're not telling you why we searched that pond. Period. They didn't have to say...it was NOT because of a tip or lead. I just don't get why they would lie when they have an easy out...like so many things they could have said....we're not discussing that or going there.

I read it, it was in the link that talked about the law professor / attorny who sat in on the third interrogation and called a stop to it.

i just read both articles again... no where does either say what has been claimed. if i've missed it, please copy and paste that section for us all to read.

i think people are inferring what they believe to have occurred, but that is not good enough. as no link has been provided, the claim is still unsubstantiated imo.

Can you post the links please.

That attorney, Sean O’Brien, confirmed Friday that he had stopped those interviews because of the “accusatory” nature of police questioning.

“It was clear to me it was not going to produce any relevant information,” O’Brien said.
My mistake, this is what I was referring to, from DB and JI in other interviews however they stated that in the seperate interrogations they were accusing one or the other.
