Where are they going???

Susan Smith is faring well in prison... even got caught up in a sex scandal... women like that learn how to mold their selves into prison society, to survive. Casey is a manipulative person... she may have it rough, at first, but if she plays the game, she will survive prison life.

I do think Casey may be in danger from the onset... but not every inmate will hate her... she will find a friend... they always do.

I think this is very true and it frustrates me. It somehow doesn't seem fair that these sociopaths adapt well to prison life and don't appear to suffer much at all.

I posted this on the NG thread, but it is appropriate here:

They knew as soon as that indictment was read they were ready to arrest her. I agree that since it was the bondsman they probably were taking her in, but it was a poor choice to do it in such a way. If they had left Baez' office and took her in instead of letting her drive off with CA then play underpass tag...it would not have been as dramatic. I think that the undercover cops did the right thing jumping on them and taking her on in. There was no reason for the games. This wasn't a bogus check charge. This was Murder One!

Doesn't make sense that it was the bondsman's vehicle she got into... he could have picked her up at Baez's office. I heard that Cindy pulled over under an overpass so the helicopters could not see them, but after Casey got into the SUV... the OCSO was following and pulled them over and apprehended her. I think Fox got it wrong.. it was not the OCSO vehicle she first got into.
It does sound like a getaway attempt to me, planned in advance! Baez wanted them to let her surrender herself. Cindy could have taken her in! But OCSO wasn't taking any chances, so they followed them, and bam! she's in handcuffs!

On NG tonight, LP said it was the Bail Bondsman's car, not a Bounty Hunter. Also said KC and Rob Dick had conversations about how helicopters cannot see what is happening under bridges or under an overpass, that's why she was switching cars there.

That seems like an unwise tip for a bail bondsman to tell someone out on bail?

Sounds like that little get-away plan worked as well as the kidnapping plot. I think KC and CA are like 2 peas in a pod.

Or a little 'helpful' hint so if anyone decided to try something stupid later on that they just might pick that same exact plan of using the car waiting under the bidge switch-a-roo plan. Great way to plant an idea so LE knows what to look for if something is tried. JMO

Fox35 news at 10pm reported tonight that Todd Black said he/Baez approved the switcharoo with the States Attorney's office the night before in writing. The reporter said the States Attorney had not returned her call regarding this. In anycase, local LE didn't seem to know anything about this.

They are SO FULL of it...............all of that bunch. They won't convince me they weren't trying to get her out of town.

And I hope her name is CINDY. That would be the icing on the cake.

I believe they knew when the indictment came down CA would try to help her escape. I don't believe for a minute that was a bondsman car because LE would have known it was. Just another lie.

LE KNEW she was going to run, and was well prepared. I will say one thing for OCSD, they have been one step ahead of these people the entire case.

It certainly doesn't make sense to me that an attorney would come up with a plan like this. It's all around weird.

Wonder if they planned it without JB's knowledge? Maybe that's why he left, so he didn't have to know about it. He could get disbarred for something like that...

Take a look sometime at Susan Smiths picture on the SCDOC website. It is surprising, or at least it was to me.

The plan doesn't make sense anyways, and now Todd B and Baez are spinning it to save their clients butt? Sheesh, I hope they have a copy of that correspondence to the SA marked received or signed or something. It would be stupid of Baez to implement this plan without a verbal "ok, we gotcha, switch and lose the press and you'll bring Casey in." from LE.

At first I thought this was all preplanned. But the more I read, LE was really caught off guard.

You do know I meant planned by Cindy & Casey, not LE, right?

The FBI was also there according to the reporter that was on GVS tonight. She said Casey got in Cindy’s car, then Cindy pulled off the road under a bridge and there was a Bail Bondsman employee in a gray SUV waiting and Casey got into that vehicle, the OCSO and the FBI did a traffic stop and arrested Casey. JB said that LE knew of this plan ahead of time and LE is saying NO they did NOT know about this. So the question remains open for now. . I though it was weird then and after hearing about this today……with the FBI involved makes me wonder if this was not some type of a last ditch effort to ‘loose Casey’.

But it got me to thinking about the motion hearing last week and how hard JB argued to be allowed to take Casey on the little secrete field trip. Went back and listened to the part asking for this motion.

Robert Haney for McDonald Bail bonds [I have paraphrased]
Mr. Haney claims Casey is not flight risk. He would just be an escort to Casey and JB. Miller Bail Bond Company does not object to Casey going to key points of interest as long as Mr. Haney is with her [sic McDonald’s guy]
Prosecution asked if arrangements would have been made to give Casey bond in the first place if home confinement had not been done. Mr. Haney did not directly answer question. Stated it was “just a lot of money’. Prosecution re-worded question. Mr. Haney answered, “He doesn’t believe she is a flight risk every one knows her face and she would be apprehended right away anyway.”
Asked if he saw motion. “No, he has not seen the motion.”
“I’m is just an escort.” He believes travel would be local only. “I really do not know what the plans are and it would be up to JB.”
Mr. Haney looked very uncomfortable answering these questions. To me he looked like a rat caught in a trap. He did not want to lie in court but it looked like he had kind of been placed in a position to testify for JB. The question I have is do bail bond companies come to court to testify for the defense like this.

This case really takes the cake. Just my opinion.

Oh definitely. I guess I was trying to state why I think what you said makes sense.

I SO needed this little "picker-upper" today!!! It's been a sad day, even though I've felt all along that sweet little Caylee is no longer with us, the reality of it really hit me today. I'm so sorry that this little angel wasn't given a better home to begin with. :(

I thought I would feel gleeful about KC's arrest but there has been no joy or anything resembling happy or anything. I guess relief is just about what I can describe. Sorrow all the way around. Pain everywhere. I thought my mind would rest but I still think of Caylee and I still would like for her to be found, she is still misssing, maybe when she is found, the joy will come.
