Where is Madeleine? Where is she?

They need to take the cadaver dogs to the barn. Maybe she is there. I am certain they will find her soon. I was thinking about Maddie last night before I went to bed and then I had a dream. This morning when I woke up, all I could think was "she is there" however, I have NO idea where
"there" is or even if the dream was about Maddie.

Darn - wouldn't it be nice to have some real ESP abilities!!!!

I'm glad you bumped this up Salem, I had a dream last night about Madeleine and when I woke up I thought..."oh that's where she is", and it was all so clear, then I couldn't remember where she was. I guess that is why I have been glued to this thread today. I usually check it once or twice in passing during the day, but she is really on my mind today.

It appears they are still looking for Maddie, in a round about way. I don't really care how they are looking as long as they are looking.

The Express is not my favorite paper and I trust very little it says, but I think there may be some truth to this article.

I would really like to know who 'tipped off' this attorney and the circumstances of the 'tip off', eg. was he phoned or told face to face? Does he know the person who gave this info? etc. If this search is successful in finding maddie the Portugeese police will have alot (more) to ans for, due to the fact that they had been given this info - but choose to ignore it.

Nope, not reward money Salem. Reward on applies on the "safe return of Maddie". No reward for the recovery of a body.

I would be very surprised if this attorney really does have "underworld connections." Most who do, don't talk about it. I think it's more likely that he has some networking with petty criminals and wanna be-type criminals, and they 've fed him some talk that they may very well believe themselves to be true.

But any search at all is a good one if it eliminates one more place she is not.

No, when I think of underworld connections, I think of organized crime, which is involves millions of dollars and things like massive drug running, bootlegging dvds, gambling rings, etc. Petty criminals are the crack addicts that purse snatch in parking lots.

fair enough - though I do think that you are thinking more of the US model - I reckon that the algarve is slightly different - though I will admitt I have no experience of either organised or petty crime in the region

I think "underworld" is a universal term for consorting with criminals.

I don't think the Euro-Underworld is any different from the "US model."

It's just as dirty - after all, this attorney is saying that he "knows" that a child has been used by pedophiles and dumped in a remote lake. That is not a petty crime by any stretch of the imagination, and anyone associated with people like that is not just a two-bit criminal.

Underworld = Underbelly of Society.

I would love to hear an update on the reservoir search. The last I heard is that they resumed searching last Wednesday (Feb. 6, 2008) but there has been no news of any progress.

Searches in the Arade reservoir have been suspended

"The searches that have been comissioned by Madeira lawyer Marcos Aragão in the Arade reservoir, near Portimao, were suspended yesterday, and today it was not yet known whether they would continue. The decision was prompted by the divers' tiredness, due to the difficulties they encountered in exploring the area. At the reservoir's bottom, visibility is almost none and the divers search only with their hands.

Marcos Aragao is determined not to abandon the searches. He is convinced that Madeleine's body was dumped in that location, and the lawyer guaranteed to CM that "until the reservoir is completely searched" he has no reasons "to doubt the leads". Leads that he states he collected, but which he does not reveal.

During the four days that the searches in the reservoir have lasted for, the divers only found a rope made out of blinds' strings and a piece of wood. The operation started on Thursday and lasted until Sunday. Marcos Aragão guarantees that he has spent approximately five thousand euros out of his own pocket."

So, I guess not, because if they were, I'm sure it would have been in the Portugese press.

BTW, there is a thread on the 3A's (http://the3arguidos.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3657&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=0) which doesn't give any "real" info but, it does mention that the searches might resume this week? I have not read anything else about it. Just an FYI.
