Where Terri parked at the school

  • #61
The whole school looks like it's on a hill/slope to me. Are those stairs going down from the front entrance?

The truck would've been hidden. I can NOW finally see how this could've all worked without others seeing him/them leave. And gosh, what a tiny school.

From the photo of the truck on the access road, it honestly doesn't look like anyone could reasonably PARK there, because there is no space to pass by and you'd get parked in if anyone else parked there.

If they got there early enough (and at the presser they did originally ask about the 8:00-8:45 time frame for the truck at the school), they could be assured of getting that shoulder parking space that is right in front of the access road. Then the truck could easily be moved onto that road later.

The aerial photo in this thread shows the access road kind of petering out near the soccer goals. But in the one on Google:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sou...09234,-122.855891&spn=0.004,0.008122&t=h&z=17

it appears to continue along next to the school (and around the soccer field) with possible access to the parking lot through the back.

Again, anyone local who can tell us how the access road is at this point? Or can anyone direct me to a photo that has been posted showing that road? Thanks so much for any info.

See soccer field picture in this slide show. The "road" appears to be paved.

Ok, so by google maps time it shows it taking 12 minutes to get to the FM on Imbrie. Is this accurate? It makes it possible, but certainly makes timing tight.

Depends on traffic,, I have been wanting to actually "drive" this route and time it, but wasn't going going to until there is more firm information..

Now I think I will do that tomorrow.. =)

Yeah, if she had him come out that door, run down the steps to the trees and she just pulled up to the trees to pick him up...he would have been well hidden from view at that point.

from street view the hill pretty much would hide any nefarious activity imhoo

ETA: and she could have easily just turned and driven thru the grass right onto the road without a problem based on the map

further ETA: if there was another person in the truck they most likely moved it to the acess road while TH ferreted Kyron out of the building to that location... moo

Yes, comparing the picture in the first post of this thread with the Google street view

http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF8...43,-122.856191&spn=0.001809,0.012209&t=h&z=17

and with the aerial photo shown later in the thread, the location of the truck seems to be at the place where the access road bends from being parallel with Skyline Blvd. to go to the side of the school (based on location of tree, and orientation to playground equipment). It also seems it would be hidden from the view from from the front of the school, by the little ridge there and the trees.

Maybe the reason it was parked there was because someone was sitting in that truck with the baby while TH was in the school. Looks like a great place to park if you don't want people to see you. It's at the bottom of a slope, trees around and further away from the school. Now if she "wasn't" up to no good she would have parked in the parking lot in my opinion.

One question tho ... did TH carry the baby inside to the school?? If she didn't then someone had to be in that truck considering how far away from the school it was parked.

MOO

It is apparently a set-up shot to show the location that they are asking about. It is on the little access road in front of Skyline Elementary. The playground is in front of the school.
Ok,Thank you.So someone could have picked up Kyron from the playground?Didn't someone say somewhere they had evidence or had checked out the playground?I wonder if the person or persons who saw someone else in the truck was parked here.

Absolutely fantastic. Photo #29, in particular, addresses our question.

Also, #31 shows that the access road is separated from the paved path around the soccer field with a chain and fence posts. So if a vehicle were on that road, I assume it would have to back out to get back onto Skyline?

ETA: And it looks like the place where the truck is shown in the LE photo is just before that chained-off part.

I think that LE needs all this detail, but overall the message was to Terri and DeDe and maybe another: We're coming to take you away, we think we know what you did.

imo

The black stars are where I believe that the truck locations are, based on the photos.

ETA ~ Thanks, Chili Fries, for the photo!

The picture is perfect - thanks. They were asking in the presser if anyone saw this truck parked in either of these 2 areas, and if someone did, to call the tip line. I do not believe they ever said the truck was parked there.

It could be they received information from the questionnaire they gave to Skyline visitors awhile back that someone saw a white truck parked in either of those locations - and now they just want to see if they can find additional witness who saw the truck parked there. It might also be that based on those same questionnaires, they got two different stories of a white truck; one on Skyline and one on the little access rd. Or people were not clear if it was parked on the access rd or if it was really Skyline. Or, they might just be speculating this could be where TH parked - to provide ease when leaving.

My recollection is that they said that a witness or witnesses saw the truck in each of those two places.

The ariel really helps. It made me wonder if she originally had parked in the lot then when she went to leave she parked there with a pre arranged scenario with Kyron. Something to the effect you aren't staying in school today we are going to do something special. When you see my truck from the classroom window just come out the side exit. Or so and so will meet you at the door. The classroom window is in clear view where LE staged the truck.

I don't know just throwing it out there. :waitasec:

I have put a spot on a copy of that photo to show where I think they are showing the truck parked on the access road, but I haven't figured out how to paste a photo into a post here.

Here is how I do it:

When you "reply to thread" scroll down to the "additional Options" area (below where you type and the post icons area) and click on "manage attachments" - then you can either upload or paste a URL - it gives you a choice. Hope that helps!
