In looking at this again, doesn't this seem to say that they have a witness but maybe they don't have a name?? Seems odd. Like maybe someone came forward, and they know the make and model and info for the car, but they haven't identified the witness. They want them to identify that info to know they are the true witness...

For those who are locals -- in the first picture, if you believe the POV of the photograph is from Terri's parking spot facing the store, is there anything behind it? Other stores? The main road, etc?

Um, wasn't there early rumblings of a strange car parked at the school? I seem to remember this. I will search for a link.

I definitely think they are looking for a vehicle other than Terri's white truck. My question is whether or not the vehicle and/or the person in the vehicle are working in cooperation with Terri or if it's a pedophile working toward his or her own ends.

But why would they use the word "witness". A witness is someone who would have seen something. What you're saying would be more like a suspicious person.

I think they HAVE the info on the vehicle.

The road goes all the way around the soccer field to an exit to Skyline Rd or you go back out the access road so you wouldn't have to back up leave.

That's not how I'm seeing it. In gwenabob's photo #39:

you can see a chain stretched across, separating the paved path that goes around the soccer field from the access road. There is a post in the middle of that, so I don't think it would be possible to simply take the chain down and gain access that way. To me, it really seems you would have to back up.

ETA: WAIT A MINUTE--zooming in on that, I realize that what I mistook for a fence post in the middle of the chain is actually a sign hanging down (probably says "KEEP OUT"!). So theoretically, someone could move the chain and drive through there, if the path is wide enough for the vehicle.

So...was the chain disturbed on June 4?

I am interpreting this to mean the witness(es) they referenced during the press conference. They stated that a witness or witnesses saw the truck at each of those two locations.

And if you look under the truck it is light grey not dark - still many of us have had this theory for some time, as I'm sure the LE has. I'm so excited that he may be alive, I'm trying to wrack my brain for that date as I was at the FM around that time on that date. Ugh.

Yes but if you look at the pictures LE thinks she was waaayyyy far away from the store. The lot is not going to be very full on a Friday morning.


LE seems to think she parked in these places at the two Fred Meyers:

The think this is where she parked at the Cornelius Pass store (you are looking at the store from her parking spot).

At this store, the Walker Rd FM, they think she parked on the far rock wall, which is at the very back of the lot.

Both of these spots are a long way from the store and very odd choices.

I mentioned this in another thread, but the spots - particularly at the Walker Rd store - are not 'that' far away. At the Walker Rd store, on that side, the rows are particularly short. It's not at all unusual to have that whole area filled up. And that includes on a Friday morning (when I usually grocery shop). I am keenly aware of this as I have a disability and when the handicapped spots are full (which is most of the time), I always end up having to park a good distance away, particularly at that store on that side of the building.

The location of the parking spots could have been deliberate. Or coincidental. The trouble in this case is, that no matter what TH does, it's going to be cast in a suspicious light.

If you look at the pdf pics in BeanE's links and you mouse over pics it says "looking from Terri's parking spot" so they know exactly where she parked. She sure parked along way from the door.

That tells me they have video surveillance of her in the lot.

Me too teh. me too.

Until my father developed such bad arthritis in his knees and hips, he always parked a mile from the store entrances so people wouldn't bang into and scratch up his vehicle. Even now, when he comes out he'll circle the vehicle and check for dings and scratches. I admit I did the same with my new car, until it got it's first scratch ... now I don't care so much lol.

Yes, I agree. But LE never confirmed that a second person was ever seen. I believe that was a "no comment". So according to Anita's statement saying "people"...that would mean someone had already seen someone else near the truck.
