On January 17, 2000, an unidentified male was found deceased behind a supermarket in Brooklyn, specifically behind a store opposite 2137 Bragg Street in New York City.

The man was reportedly known to members of the local community as “Erik,” believed to be a Polish man who lived behind the supermarket. Despite this apparent familiarity, his true identity has never been confirmed.

Authorities estimated the man was between 40 and 60 years old at the time of his death. His remains were recovered intact and his face was recognizable, but no confirmed identification has been made.

Circumstances

Does he look 63? I can find only one Polish born man that matches. Erik Woczewski. He was listed as a lodger at 13yo with an Austrian family in a 1950 census and it doesn't look like his parents came with him, although I can find no immigration details.

I would say 63 is possible, given the age range. It is hard to know how long the man was living rough or other circumstances that might impact his appearance or aging based on the write up. 63 is not that far from a 40-60 range. If I really had to venture a shot in the dark though, I would probably place this "Erik" somewhere in the middle, around 50. My opinion only.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. 60+ with almost no greys doesn't sound right. 🤷‍♂️

woah yeah — he looks young. i would guess low 40’s but i’m wrong about almost everything haha
