I have some very good long term women friends, three of whom have been my close friend for over 25 years each. We have seen each other through good times and bad, sicknesses and deaths, births and marriages and divorces.

I can see my friends and I purchasing throw away phones if we wanted to keep what we were talking about secret. I can even see us lying about where we were going/had been if we thought that the reason was important enough.

BUT, no matter how much they value me, if I called one of them with a serious plan to kidnap/harm/kill anyone, I would find myself dragged to the sherrif's office (or a mental ward) so fast my head would spin. Calling them with a dead child on my hands would result in support, questions, and an immediate call to 911. They might visit me in jail, but they would not try to hide the body.

I just can't wrap my mind around the idea of Terri's friends being this accommodating. Maybe Terri did this alone and maybe she didn't but I seriously doubt the Terri and 2 friends theory. :waitasec:

It's an accepted source. We each get to assign as much or as little credibility to things as we see fit, and to believe or disbelieve whatever works or doesn't work for us.

Maybe the reporter just made a grammatical error, or a just plain sloppy reporting error. After all, the reporter wrote that the person was "in the truck", and that's not what LE said.

So maybe the reporter was just as sloppy with saying "third person". Maybe since this reporter is reporting that sources say that LE says that it's not Dede, that it's a third person. Not three people, but a third person, in a sloppy way, meaning actually a different second person, other than Dede.

If this reporter is so uncaring, or has such poor writing skills, that they can't accurately report LE's simple "in or near the truck", why would they be any more careful in accurately conveying whether it's a second person or a third person?

But it was previously reported as a definite thing that someone was seen INSIDE the truck. And since there are more than one witness, perhaps one saw a person inside and another saw them near the truck?

This definite thing was reported by a reporter saying that some unnamed sources said it. Personally, I would never count on anything from an unnamed source as a definite things. And less so in this case, where there are too many of them to be plausible.

I understand. I am not trying to say it is true, only that it was not reported in a way that would seem to be an accident, the reporter "misspeaking", but as a fact (however unreliable that "fact" might be). Because they wrote "sitting in the truck", not just "in" instead of "by" by mistake.

well, my theory (on the theory thread, I won't go into it here b/c I don't understand when pure speculation is allowed and when it isn't in a regular thread but I KNOW it allowed there) is that there was a third person, so I'm not surprised a bit by this.

I think LE is on the right track but if my hunch is right, I'm thinking determining who that person was.. as in an identity rather than a definition of his relationship to TH .. might be pretty difficult. But I do think he's the key to the whole thing.

If someone was said to be 'in or around' the truck, does that necessarily mean that Terri was aware of this person being there or that they were there with her ok? Perhaps this person was checking out the truck looking for something to steal or looking for something of Kyrons if they had noticed the boy before this and was fixated on him. Of course, Terri could have taken someone else to the school with her or arranged to meet someone else there, but this third person might be someone unknown to Terri. Just a thought.:waitasec:

I have a very hard time believing TH did it. I have an even harder time believing that TH and DDS were working together to disappear Kyron. And I find it close to impossible that TH, DDS, and some MP did it.

Just too complicated. Too many cooks in the kitchen, you know? The more we pound the round peg into a square hole, the more likely it is to shatter, splinter, and disintegrate. And we've been pounding hard for a long time...and it's not shattered. Not even significantly dented, as far as I can tell.

So what's the simple answer, no matter how much we, as a society, would hate - HATE - to have it be true? Some SO predator walked in, took Kyron, and vanished.

Simple. So simple - and so frightening to us as a society - that we just refuse to believe it's possible. We would look at almost any other theory (well, maybe not aliens...) with more favor than that one. Because it really means that there is no protection for our kids anywhere.

Simplicity. There is no three ring - er, person - group that did this.

Now, if we could ID truck lurker-dude, we may have something more to go on. But until then, I don't see this as a three person job...not in my most wild imagination. And yes, I have a wild imagination. LOL.
