well fwiw after the autopsy I'll go out on a limb and say
•no bleeding or infection in brain or abdomen
•no obvious problems with her ♥ *
(CHF not the reason water was in her lungs)
•no foreign body in her trachea
•no blood clots in lungs or heart
•no gunshots or stab wounds
•no organ failure
•no cause of death OTHER than drowning

•no further comment on the "drowning" until toxicology results are back
because sober healthy adults do not accidentally drown in the bathtub

*It all hinges on toxicology, serology and microscopic findings.

•TOX -how many drugs they find in her system and how
high the levels were.
•If exceedingly high it was intentionally done by her or to her.
otherwise, it was an accident on Whitney's part.

•MICRO/BLOOD CULTRUES- mycoplasma or something, myocarditis or endocarditis perhaps
I am concerned with the excessive sweating reported
in previous days...it may have been due to drug or
recent excessive alcohol use maybe not...

ELECTROLYTE IMBALANCE!
can cause an arrythmia of the ♥
this is not conducive to life if not corrected
and could be one reason an adult would drown in a tub...

one of those tmz links said bobbi k has been surrounded by members of her father's family since her mother died.

i hope it wasn't one of those relative who gave her a sedative after she'd been drinking.

i seriously hope bobby brown has grown up and can man up and take care of his daughter. i have not paid him a lick of attention in years but nothing i recall about the man is very reassuring. his daughter needs a real adult to rely on.

The choice, imo, is whether or not to seek treatment. I don't follow enough celebrity news/gossip to know if Whitney ever sought treatment or not.

Deep down addicts know they have a problem, whether they are ready to admit it and do something about it or not, they know. The lack of choice occurs after picking up the first drink, or after starting using the substance of their addiction. An addict has no control once under the influence. They do have a choice when they choose to become intoxicated with that first drink, or that first pill popped, joint smoked, or something shot up. Does that make sense?

I also think succesful recovery has to do with how much support the person receiving treatment, or in recovery has. I do imagine for celebs, it would be very hard, but not impossible, to remove themself from the situations leading to their need to use. Not an excuse, but I can imagine the lure of being a celebrity as a type of addiction as well.

I really hoped she would have dropped out of sight, dropped out of the scene for a long time and only come back after she was in full recovery. Even if she dropped out of sight for a decade, she would have been able to make a full comeback. Sadly, she, like many, lost the battle of addiction- regardless of COD, imo.

Excellent post, question have been watching some of her tours past couple of years, why did she sweat so much at times it was pouring down her, and you could see she had to go to a little table by her band, you could see her back only but she was like spraying water all over her face and inside her blouse, and that was in the middle of a song, and yes her voice was really gone, but so was she, so sad!!

I've never seen Whitney perform. (Outside of the old MTV video's back in the 80's). My guess, if she was performing hard under those hot stage lights, that could have contributed to the excessive sweat. In addition to possible substance abuse.

Yes I understand all of that. But I am in no rush to give my opinion on what caused her death.

The point of my post was to say that.

I'd rather await the official word.

She hasn't even been gone 24 hours.

JMO

Sorry I didn't verbalize better. I was jumping off your post to elaborate more on your abuse vs drug death thing. So sad and happening to so many.

Crack addicts and meth addicts alike sweat just sitting still. Imagine doing a whole set. Imagine dancing around and singing and how you'd sweat anyway.

In no way am I trying to tarnish Miss Houston's memory, but just answering that question.

Notice when she'd make all those huge jerky movements. If you're high on crack everything gets exaggerated. I'm sick of seeing people look like the walking dead who walk with all their da*n limbs jerking.

An example would be the time Miss Houston was on Rosie O'Donell years ago. She couldn't sit still. She had that ever present hankey with her. She'd raise her hands real high and a simple shake of the head as a no or yes her head about shook off.

Beautiful, talented, gifted woman.

Just thinking. Could it have been possible Miss Houston commited suicide?

Those photographs claiming she had soooooooooooo much blooed running down her leg and a scratch on her wrist? JMO, but that wasn't alot of blood I saw anyway. Just thought of the suicide angel.

Crack is one of those drugs you don't get those brain chemicals back. Huge depression for years after crack addiction. Holes in your brain that never get renewed. Ya never know. She fought so hard and had her clean time in. I feel bad for her. I feel bad for her family.

Cubby sorry I didn't mean to answer the question for you. I was posting when you had already posted.

Sorry, dear.

i saw her perform early on. she seemed insecure to me though her vocals were flawless.

i was prescribed a high dose of adderall xr as an adult by a doc who dxd me as having suffered from adhd that went unnoticed throughout childhood. for five years i took that dose. to see photos of me, you'd think i was at death's door. it was only when my cousin, a nurse, moved back into town, nosed around in my business, and eventually reported my doc to the board of medicine that i even questioned the situation. i was not in my right mind and sadly, a lot of this crazy behavior we see in tripped out celebrities strikes me as uncomfortably familiar. i can't remember a lot of what happened during the time. anyhow, one thing i absolutely do remember is that i was constantly soaking in sweat.

yes...
http://books.google.com/books?id=Bn...age&q=adult suicide drowning in a tub&f=false

If not caused by intoxication....in the case of an adult drowning in a tub is usually an act of suicide.
- so that family members may benefit from life insurance policies and spare them additional pain...
who knew?

I am having a hard time believing she OD'd at 3pm while preparing to attend a party.

she reportedly told Melanie Amaro X-factor winner to "carry the torch"

t Houston told Amaro to "keep the torch going." Amaro was crying during the interview, according to Wynter.

That is EXACTLY why I said they should have found a way to keep Bobbi at the hospital.
She has a HISTORY of self injury and/or suicidal tendencies and you *think* she might be suicidal NOW??

Even if she isn't suicidal she certainly isn't going to be thinking clearly enough to moderate herself. :banghead:

It has been removed. :(

I can't find another video of the song being played AND the standing ovation afterwards. Only the song being played.
