I'm thinking that the tox screen will come back with CDT as the cause of death. CDT is combined drug toxicity which is when no single drug in the system is at a lethal level but there are multiple drugs which have a synergistic effect. It seems to be a new catchall diagnosis for many recent deaths where there was no obvious overdose or cause but there were drugs present on the scene and in the system of the deceased.
Or it could have been a seizure as well. So far they are claiming that she didn't die of drowning. Oddly, there have been article about the fact that Whitney didn't take bath or would usually have someone with her (which to me would indicate previous seizure problems).
A few years back i had many scary episodes of passing out, sometimes going into a seizure. they happened while driving ,working etc and I even stopped breathing during one and my late fiance was a first responder and did CPR on me. There never was a diagnosis why this happened and it has been years since it last happened. But I had to promise everyone to bath with the door unlocked and to keep making noise by talking, singing, etc. But you can die suddenly of a seizure and it won't show on the autopsy as a seizure and will be attributed to something else, unless there is a history of seizures.
While I feel bad for Whitney's family and feel really bad for Bobbi Kristina, Whitney lost me as a fan with the "crack is whack" interview. Sorry but her snotty, I'm too rich to do crack, attitude spoke multitudes about her denial and her attitude that she was better than other addicts because she had way to much money to ever do crack because crack is cheap.
I watched that interview again and she was so freaking snotty and full of BS. From the fake accent to the imperious, superior way that she dismissed Diane's questions, there is no doubt Whitney had lost her grip on reality. She seemed high in the interview as well.

How dare she think that her money made her invincible to addiction and better than crack addicts. But drugs are the great equalizer and don;t care if you are rich, talented or famous, they will kill you just the same. Sadly, Whitney learned this lesson the hard way and her child will suffer for it.
Poor Bobbi Kristina had become her own mother's caretaker in recent years because Whitney was incapable of staying sober or making responsible choices on her own
