Another thought on the "why Whitney was usually not allowed to bath without someone around...
I already discussed the seizure theory but then another thought came to mind as well. If someone is a drug user and is constantly surrounded by people, then how could they ever be alone to do drugs?
By going to the bathroom, that's how! Whether they say they have to go to the bathroom or are going to take a long bath, it gives them time and privacy to do their drugs. Running water can cover the sounds and soaps and such can mask the smell of drugs being done (if there was a smell, depending on the drug).
Snorting coke or heroin would be the best method of ingestion as it needs no needles, pipes, lighters, etc. All you need is a nose and a flat surface and a piece of paper to roll up in a tube shape, then the paper used can be flushed, the drugs were most likely also stored in paper as well.
So perhaps THAT is why she usually wasn't allowed to go bathe alone. She had to be watched at all times which means she wasn't in full recovery but rather a forced recovery.
About the sweating or heart attack theories.. well crack and cocaine and even meth (I think) cause a speeding up of the heart, can raise temperature and cause heart problems. (I had a crack addict die in my front yard after he partied with my weird neighbors. Of course all of his "friends" took off and left me there to deal with the dying crack head cuz they knew cops were coming. The dead man had a pacemaker from previous problems with drugs and yet kept doing them!! That is the lure of drugs to addicts, the will willingly risk death.)
Certain drugs do raise the body's temperature and so does withdrawals, so she could have been dealing with that.
Or, just like me, she could be dealing with hormone issues and hot flashes which have me sweating when even when it is freezing outside. I will go sit on the porch is shorts and a tank top in freezing weather, trying to cool down. But hormones issues also cause irritability, irrationality, emotional reactions, etc which could trigger problems as well.
But more likely, given her past, drugs are going to be an issue in her death. Being in the Grammy party atmosphere most likely brought her in contact with drug suppliers who may have given her a freebee or hooked her up with a supply that had not been there before. If she hadn't had drugs for a while and had taken a dose that was equivalent to what she took at the height of her addiction, then that dose could cause an overdose.
Or maybe the drugs weren't working fast enough so she did more.
Or maybe she had a dose of the drugs and knew she would have to get rid of the evidence and just did them all , rather than throw the extras away and accidentally ODed.
Whitney was no doubt despondent and probably irate about being there and NOT being the center of attention, everyone was younger, prettier and more talented. Whitney's voice had been ruined and she had a history of barging on on stage at other people's performances and causing problems. So she was most likely shunned and quite mad about it.
I feel bad for her family and especially her daughter, who is probably deal with survivor guilt over not being able to save her mom and blaming herself when it was NOT her fault at all.
In the end, arrogance and drugs can be a deadly combination. Whitney never humbled herself and admitted her addiction which is a necessary part of recovery. She felt she was "too rich to do crack". A cocaine addict is no better than a crack addict is no better than an alcoholic. They are all the same. (I say this with no disrespect as many people I live have been addicts or are in recovery).
Whitney never did the step where she admitted her problem and asked forgiveness for the things she did against others (like showing up on their stage during a live performance). So nobody forgave her since she never apologized and she didn't feel she had done any wrong, she felt everyone should be honored that she showed up.
So she got a cool reception from people, watched others being fawned over and adored while she was shunned. And it snowballed from there ultimately ending in her death.
