oh...and about dolly parton (since i'm on a roll). she wrote the song...therefore it's her stinkin' song. nobody ever said it wasn't a song most associated with wh. nobody said wh didn't do a stunning rendition of the song

I guess I am showing my age but I have always associated that song with Dolly Parton, she wrote and recorded that song first. It was one of her most popular best selling records. I have never considered it to be WH song or associated it with her, Must be my age and the fact that I am a country music fan .

I think they both did it beautifully. I also loved both of the movies. Quite different, but the song fit with both. jmo

Detroit often gets a bad rap, but there has always been a plethora of homegrown talent in these parts. I grew up during the glory days of Detroit's musical magnificance and have always been proud to be a Motown girl

I've watched most of the live coverage on CNN/HLN while doing other things. I've never been a huge fan of Kevin Costner, but I was deeply moved by his tribute to Ms. Houston.
