Whitney Houston passed away on 2/11/12 - Part 2

I would be willing to bet she was not buried with those jewels.

I bet she had them on for the viewing and they were taken off and given to the family before the burial.

Welcome to the WH thread. Glad you found it.

What she was buried in & with what doesn't bother me. I heard that BK, Cissy & Dionne picked out every thing she wore, i.e. clothes, jewelry, etc.

It bothers me that someone in a position of trust, be it someone at the viewing or funeral home employees, had such disrespect to even take that picture & then sell it.

With the recent news that the family will be selling the funeral footage, it makes me wonder about that picture.

It could have been the family.

Maybe not.

Wonder if RayJ was at the viewing?:waitasec:
Would he snap a pic-I wouldn't be surprised since he doesn't seem shy publishing about certain things! WH will probably be in his next book!!:banghead:

Ray J alleges Kim Kardashian cheated on first husband

In "Death of a Cheating Man: What Every Woman Must Know About Men Who Stray," Ray J refers to a former paramour who he dated for more than two years as "KK." The initials match up with Kardashian's, as do the time frames given for their involvement. While Kardashian married music producer Damon Thomas in 2000, the two divorced in 2004.
Ray J alleges that "KK" pursued him while she was still technically married.

Maybe not.

It was also reported that the photo appeared to be taken by a cell phone. I think I heard it on NG but she is not very accurate these days.

Maybe family and/or invited friends.

As if Cissy does not have enough grief...now THIS! I hope those close to her are keeping her shielded from all of this unwanted exposure...and from this betrayal!

IIRC, a 'guest' took Elvis's photo and sold it...........
it just never stops.

  • #207
That is beyond morbid!!! Just WTF did they get that picture? Someone sold out. Wonder who? PATHETIC!!!

I know they've don it to other celebs (James Brown for one) but for some reason this one rankles me.

There is a guy who calls himself [email protected] who is circulating
the photo on newsgroups under the title:

" Still dead...if you want to believe the National Inquirer."

Complants have been sent to Newsguy but of course they will do nothing.

Heck yeah, they can do a tox faster. I've od'd 3 times in the last 2 yrs. (long story for people on here that do not know me) and they had what was in my system pronto!

I was thinking that too, as I work in an ER and we know as soon as we can what people have ingested.

But I think there are different standards for medical vs legal, and her death is technically still a criminal investigation, though it will likely be ruled an accident.

I know Clive Davis comes across on TV like a Dickens villain, but lack of telegeneity isn't actually a crime.

Yes, Whitney Houston made him more money than most of us will ever see, but Davis has been an industry leader for decades and almost certainly would have amassed a fortune even if Houston never came along.

I think he makes an easy scapegoat in all of this but he was basically an employer to these singers, even if he also befriended them. What employer doesn't want his employees to work hard? What employer pays for the funerals of his employees?

I may be wrong but I think he "owns" the 1st few American Idols and runners up who got contracts. The only one that said no was Daughtry (he was 4th). Not sure about J-Hud, who was also 4th runner up. She went Hollywood so she may not be under his thumb. Since she was 4th, he may not have even offered.

I'm sure her daughter would like to keep some things, and some things will likely be auctioned off. I saw on Inside Edition last night that WH had a lot of her dresses in storage shed, she was over due on payments on it, they were sold. So, lots may be sold to pay off debts. I'll look for a link. However, I'd be worried about grave robbers, it is still as strong as it ever was, so why would anyone advertise half a million worth of jewelry lies here? "Inside Edition" just reported that the employees at the funeral home have been cleared from taking the picture of WH in her casket.

Although there are surveillance cameras in the funeral home, the family had requested they be turned off during the viewing. Family members & friends who attended the viewing were not asked to turn over their cell phones. So, they are surmising it had to have been someone close to the inside.

There is an ongoing investigation. I hope they catch the sick pup!

I agree about most people on WS being themselves. I've been a member for about 9 yrs. now and have never had trouble expressing myself.

I have a high tolerance also. To go to sleep I take 1mg. Xanax (alprazolam), 150 mg. Elavil (amitriptyline) & 60 mg. Restoril (temazepam) and it still takes about 2 hrs. to kick in. The pharmacist told me that would make him sleep for 3 days. LOL I only started taking the 2nd benzo after my sister passed almost 3 yrs. ago. It may seem like alot to some but you have to have sleep that's why alot of these "stars" take them cuz they can't sleep. I understand. Not being able to sleep, fall asleep or stay asleep SUX! Thankfully I have not built up a tolerance and have kept the same "sleep cocktail" for years in addition to my Prozac and 3 more mg. of Xanax that I take throughout the day.

I have to admit I am wreckless though and do play the "fire game" with booze & Xanax.

kato, I take xanax every day and sometimes drink a couple of glasses of wine myself, so please believe me that I am not judging you.

But as I'm sure you know, you are already taking more than the supposedly "safe" amount of benzos each day. Adding alcohol to the mix really scares me. It would be even scarier if you had to take painkillers for any reason.

I believe you that you have a high tolerance and I am not pretending to be qualified to tell you what to do. But xanax isn't usually recommended for sleep and I feel I have to express my concern.

Back to minding-my-own-business mode. I hope you'll forgive me.

It is strange that blood analysis in those situations are different than those that happen after an autopsy. But I've waited for those results when someone very close to me overdosed many years ago, and then recently was there to support a woman who waited for those results.

There was a case here in AZ, Skylar Newton, where drugs were suspected to have caused his death. I remember researching how long it took for tox results to come back and seeing on the medical examiner's website that the process took quite some time, although there was no explanation for why. So at least it is that way here in AZ. It could be different in other states, but the LA Times had an interesting article about why Whitney's results were taking so long.

I'm not attacking your opinion or you personally at all, your opinion just got me to thinking and those were my thoughts, sorry I'm so long winded. :)

I'm only guessing, but maybe they do a more complete tox screen in the case of an unexplained death. After all, the "ingestee" isn't around to tell them what s/he took.

(ETA wallflower says this better above in her distinction between "medical" and "legal (or criminal)" testing requirements. Come to think of it, when my neighbor dropped dead at 49, it took weeks for the tox screen results to come back, even though no drug abuse was suspected. They were testing things like kidney and liver functioning as well as substances ingested.)

There are limits to those contracts and, of course, CD has the right to drop artists after a certain period.

I don't believe Kelly Clarkson, for example, is still signed with CD. I think their break was well publicized.

(This is all just to the best of my recollection.)

I think it is unfair to blame Clive davis for any of this mess. She was LUCKY to be signed with him. All of those broken records for biggest sales and most #1 singles in a row---she was not a songwriter or a producer. She NEEDED CD to get where she was.

And he was very generous and kind towards her. People gave him a hard time because he kept lending her money even though her tours were losing him money and she had zero record sales. He was helping her financially by paying for her travel and hotel bills
right up to the last day.

She went through 100 million dollars. How do you burn through 100 million dollars? Pure irresponsibility, imo. So blaming CD is very unfair, as he helped her earn that money and she should have been living well forever.

I think it's fair to say each made money off (or with) the other.

I'm told one source is saying Houston spent over $9 million on drugs alone. I'm a little skeptical of that figure because I doubt she kept an account book, but street drugs aren't cheap. That much I do know.

Nothing to forgive at all. If I didn't want responses to anything I post I'd keep my mouth shut. LOL I'm an open book. I know I'm "flirting with fire" as my grandmother used to tell me. My doctor did tell me not to take the xanax at night with my elavil & restoril but I always thing I need that extra oomph.

That's why I try hard not to drink because it's exactly as they say about the "combo". You get "your high" quicker and you feel so good you don't want the feeling to go away. My friend who I drink with sometimes does not let me mix. BUT I still take my meds. after to go to sleep. She says she's always checking my breathing when I spend the night.

On a positive note. I do not keep ANY alcohol in the house. My BF has his wine & beer but I don't like that chit!

SwampMamma, that's interesting that redheads have a higher tolerance to drugs than other people - I'd never heard that before. I know that some people have a higher tolerance to alcohol than others (they can drink you under the table and still seem okayish) but that doesn't indicate they don't have an addiction. Also some people suffer terrible hangovers, which can be a blessing because your bottom may be higher, while others don't. My Aunt, who was a high functioning alcoholic her whole adult life, never let on to anybody that she ever had/felt one repercussion as a result of tying one on the night before. Maddening! Plus she'd manage to prepare decent well rounded buffets for the whole gang time-after-time while, at the same time, swigging down her drinks all day and night. Other than falling asleep while sitting in a chair, her good demeanor never seemed to fluctuate much. The only time she ever refused a drink was when she was offered a second one at the time of day one might be having brunch. About an hour later she stood up, took a few steps, and died right there of a heart attack. She was in her seventies.

I am not directing this at you personally.:seeya:

According to the LAW they are ADULTS at 18.
What exactly happens as they sleep the night before their birthday that
transforms them into logical thinking adults like us?

AS a nurse I know that " Brain research indicating that brain development is not complete until near the age of 25, refers specifically to the development of the prefrontal cortex"
http://www.hhs.gov/opa/familylife/t...rain/Development/prefrontal_cortex/index.html

There are so many opinions about any "child" over 17.
"THEY ARE 18...IT'S NOT LIKE THEY ARE A CHILD"
BUT if they go"missing" there is no Amber Alert!
Oh well he/she is over 18 they are an adult and can choose to go missing.:what:
I wonder how many young adults/women ever really just choose to disappear? They have no life experience to draw on and those that do may end up having to do unspeakable things for their next meal
THIS REALLY CHAPS MY hinder boo!
ANY~WAY- back on topic

Bobbi Kristina will be 19 on March 4th (I think)
CPS won't do anything for her now! It has been documented and reported over the past what? 10 years that BK's parents had drug problems on TV. NO ONE called or ever stepped in. It is VERY unlikely to happen to any "child" old enough to walk away or call for help on her own. CPS is too busy with newborns addicted to drugs and relocating toddlers & siblings to foster care
Many of these kids have to be relocated numerous times because they have not been taught how to even act human by their drug /alcohol addicted family members. I don't mean anyone on this forum with personal/family issues I mean the ones that are "UNCAPABLE" of forming a sentence due to addiction and still delivering babies!

As a mother of a 19 yo son and a 20 yo daughter (married since 10/15/2011) ~nope! no pregnancies or bambinos yet! Just married for ♥♥♥
They are still kids! They still need guidance.
Yes an 18 yr old can enlist in the military I know! He/she also gets fast forward life lessons of actions/consequences in basic training!

What has BK gotten? What kind of damage has her tender brain been exposed to? For how long? How often? She parrots her mother and when she could't handle an emotion or a situation WHAT DID SHE DO?
Exactly what she has watched her mom do all her life!!!

Look at how the family reacted to Whitney! not before she died but after! They will do the same with BK. If someone does not step in AND SOON it will be BK's funeral next. Not because she is suicidal... because she is 18! She is immortal in her eyes. She thinks "THAT WILL NEVER happen to me!" I'm smarter than my mom...
etc. etc.
18yo-19yo-23yo...I STILL see them as kids.
CPS doesn't... LAW ENFORCEMENT doesn't... Psychiatrists do...
and so do their mama's!
OK even when my kids are over 50 they will still be "children" to me:innocent:

Unfortunately Bobbi Kristina's path is up to her. Even IF they admitted her for help, she can leave on her own free will after 72 hours. hint She's an adult!
Surely there is a reformed addict that BK respects that could help her???
Might even be one that has never used any mind altering substance that could take her under his wing and re-raise her right!

ok I'm done ~sorry
moo

Totally agree with everything in this post - age has nothing to do with maturity. Where there's addiction, there's stunted emotional growth.

On "ET" tonight they said that some Beverly Hilton hotel staff has been fired for speaking to the press.

Her rave is bare now as they have cleared all the flowers away. It ison lockdown to the public. Only people who have loved ones buried there are allowed in.
Also, it was said that before she was interred that all the jewelry she had on was taken out of the casket for fear of grave robbers.
