Who do you think is guilty? I'm relatively new here and...

Burke wasn’t questioned by anyone, including law enforcement until after 2:17pm, when Patterson questioned him briefly at the Whites.

At 7:00am, Officer French attempted to speak to Burke as he was being ushered out the door by John. However, John stepped-in and told French that Burke was asleep the whole time and didn’t know anything. Then off Burke went.

You should watch the Dr Phil interviews, I've mentioned this before, BR confirms prior accounts, and tells us about smeaking back downstairs and maybe snacking pineapple.

The first interview aired on Dr. Phil's show Monday and dealt primarily with the fact that Burke has never before addressed his sister's death in public, a reticence that has fueled speculation about whether he is in fact the murderer. Dr. Phil asked Burke if he'd been "hiding out" for the last two decades.

"I wanted to grow up like a normal kid, which does not include going in front of TV cameras," Burke said.

Ramsey told Dr. Phil that his mom came in his room in the early morning, frantically searching for someone, yelling, "Where is my baby?" over and over again. ("The first thing I remember is my mom bursting into my room really frantic saying ‘Oh my gosh, oh my gosh,’ running around my room, now, I know, looking for JonBenet,” Ramsey told Dr. Phil on the special, CBS News noted.) Though he didn't leave his bed at the time to follow after his mom, Ramsey remembers that, not even an hour later, a police officer opened the door to his room and shone a flashlight around the space. Ramsey recounted to Dr. Phil intimate details of that morning from his perspective: it was dark out, that a detective who'd come to his home to interview him had told him that JonBenét was "missing," and that he'd said to the detective, "I told the guy, 'She's probably hiding somewhere! Did you check the whole house? Maybe she's outside!'"

On the Dr. Phil show, Burke also recalled the first moments after his mother realized his sister wasn’t in her bedroom.

The first thing I remember is my mom bursting in my room really frantic, saying, ‘Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!’ running around the room, now I know, looking for JonBenét, he said.

Burke said he remained in bed as a police officer entered next, shining a flashlight in the predawn darkness.

I was scared, I think, he said. I didn’t know if some bad guy was downstairs my dad was chasing off with a gun or … I had no idea.

Burke remembered being asked by another police officer where JonBenét might be and suggesting that she might be hiding. Later, at the home of a family friend, his father told him that his sister was dead.

My dad just said, ‘She’s in heaven,'” he said. “I was kind of like, ‘How is that possible?

So, as per my previous post and JR's actions, premediated or not?

Agreed. People like to think that every single thing about this case was masterfully planned, down to every little detail. It wasn't. PR kept the same clothes on because she simply didn't have enough time to change and make the police call before their scheduled flight the next morning. That's it. These aren't long-time criminal masterminds here.

Userid,
she simply didn't have enough time to change and make the police call before their scheduled flight the next morning.
Nope, I do not buy it.

Assuming JonBenet was whacked about 12:00 AM, then that's 5-hours to do the staging, more than enough time to machine wash, and tumbler dry any evidence then dress for the day!

We need Columbo on this case.

You don't know that she died at midnight, but even if she did, that isn't "more than enough time." The ransom note alone would have taken up a huge portion of time. God knows what else she/they were doing that we simply don't know about. She was already doing laundry that night/morning.

The Officer that shined a flashlight into his room was Sergeant Reichenbach. He then interviewed briefly with Patterson at 2:17pm.

This is illogical. They could have simply kept refusing to allow him to be questioned, as long as he was in their presence. They were well within their right to do so!
Not so. It’s called psychological distancing. They needed to remove Burke from the house and they moved him to the “safety” of his best friends house away from family, friends, and law enforcement. Not only would LE be trying to interview and talk to Burke, but, the Fernies and Whites would be able to observe Burke and know if he was acting strange etc.. In fact, it was Barbara Fernie would told LE that something was off with Burke because he was still in bed that morning when all of this was going on. She knew Burke, like her son Luke, was an early riser and thought it was weird that he would still be in bed, especially with some great new toys to play with.

If LE kept trying to talk with Burke and they
kept refusing than they would have looked guilty as hell.

Whisking Burke away from the scene was planned and it worked.

If we don't know their family dynamic, how can you know it was JR that had made the decision to get BR out of dodge?

You are not a qualified professional and you're simply going off of feeling instead of education. Just because you saw one TV interview, doesn't qualify you.

He was nine!
He was more 10 than he was 9. He was the tallest kid on his basketball team and outweighed his sister by at least 25 lbs.

When JR is asked do you think it might be Burke who killed JBR,
he always says “ Burke was a nine-year old child, he weighed 60 pounds.”

He was 10, tallest kid among his peers, and weighed at least 70 pounds but more likely closer to 80.

So, why would there be a need for JR to diminish Burke’s age and weight and paint him as a frail weekling?

There was nothing planned about what happened that night inside that house. Post-murder, there was. John and Patsy are smarter than your average cookie. They took a lot of time on the ransom note and chose who they wanted to frame- LHP, Jeff Merrick, or someone that did an “inside job”. Are you under the assumption that Patsy was up all night sans JR putting this whole thing together? Both JR and PR were involved in the cover-up from moment one. One of the biggest mistakes of followers of this case have made is to think that JR wasn’t a smart, manipulative, in charge of the cover-up from the get. Since Patsy waited at least two minutes from the time JR brought up JB and laid her down on the floor in front of everyone, to enter the room and blanket herself all over her daughters body, what she did is give herself a fiber out in front of a full room of witnesses. Patsy actually uses this exact reasoning for her fibers being on JBR in an interview with CBS in 2004.

By family dynamic, I wasn't necessarily referring to that specific day, but their daily actions and interactions with each other within the privacy of their home.
I know that JR made the decision to get BR out of that house because he is the one that got him up and dressed and shoved him out the door with Fleet, not allowing him to answer any questions, BTW. It doesn't take a qualified professional of any kind to opine as to what kind of character JR is.
I'm not sure what you are accusing me of being a qualified professional of?? But I have seen BR in three interview, not just one; and they were ALL equally disturbing. Additionally, there is plenty of research and education available regarding the ability of a 9 year old to commit a violent crime. -- IMO

What? You can try to spin it anyway you want, but if the police questioning BR was a priority, all JR/PR would have had to do was keep him close to them. They could shut down any questioning themselves, compared to leaving a nine year old to fend for himself and be easily manipulated to answer questions without his parents present. There is no way to argue around that.

And no, they wouldn't have -- all JR/PR would have had to do, was say they didn't want their son to talk and be traumatized by having to be questioned by police; that their son had been through enough, etc......I mean, they obviously had no problem suspiciously dodging being interviewed by police themselves for what was it, like months to a year afterward?!

Oh, well in that case (eyeroll).

He was a child. JR was estimating. The end.

Absolutely not....but she was up all night.

They were smart, but they weren't that smart. A lot of why they got off was due to police incompetence.

I meant in relation to your BR TV interview analysis. BR is socially awkward. Just because you think he looks weird due to a nervous smile he exhibited in a couple TV interviews you happened to see on TV, doesn't prove he's a murderer. You have zero experience or education in behavioral analysis.

Cottonstar,
You have a source for that, or the transcript?

Burke remembered being asked by another police officer where JonBenét might be and suggesting that she might be hiding. Later, at the home of a family friend, his father told him that his sister was dead.

Well if you parse the above Burke appears to be asked at his house since the last sentence starts Later, at the home of a family friend ... , i.e. another location.

Also JonBenet has been found by the time Burke is interviewed that afternoon, 3PM according to Steve Thomas.

So why bother asking him where JonBenet might be?

Exactly, well said. The parents could shut down any questioning of BR by Police for the reasons you stated, and were well within their legal right to do so as BR was a Minor. Allowing him to leave the house, and be out of their presence/control, was a tremendous risk, as he could very easily, at his tender age, (10 is still very young), let something slip upon being questioned about what happened. It's only natural in an event of such seriousness/magnitude that the kid is going to be questioned about what he thinks could have happened to his Sister. Surely, the neighbor is going to ask him especially considering the 2 families were quite close, and especially if BR trusted them, he could have just caved in and told them what happened, which would have opened up Pandora's box. IMO, JR is just too smart and calculating to have risked sending BR off that morning knowing he most certainly would be questioned by the neighbor, and just "hoping" BR doesn't crack and spill the beans blowing the lid off his elaborate, master grand plan.

Exactly, couldn't agree more. JR not only had to worry about BR saying something to police outside his presence, but also to the neighbors, etc. That would have been way too risky.

Actually, you’re being unrealistic. If you won’t allow your son to be interviewed you look guilty! Just like the parents looked guilty as heck by not interviewing until 125 days after the murder!

Keep him close to them at the scene? Do you not know what happened at the scene that day. Like I said before which you completely ignored is that the Rams friends could tell something was wrong in the first hour they were there.

You’re the one that needs spin if you think that not ushering Burke out of the crime scene would have been safer and better than securing him away from all of that at a friends house. And it worked, for 8 hours no one questioned Burke about his missing sister. Let that sink in.

Absolutely not....but she was up all night.

They were smart, but they weren't that smart. A lot of why they got off was due to police incompetence.
Actually, that’s not factually correct. It was because of Pete Hofstrom and who he was inside the DA office that made sure the Rams would never go to court.

um..what.? I never said ANY of that. I said the interviews were disturbing, meaning his obvious deception and evasiveness. And don't be ridiculous, if I opine that I believe Burke Ramsey was involved in anything that transpired that night, it is based on where the evidence leads me., which may or may not involve interview content. And further, how do you know what my experience and education is. That is downright insulting.-MY OPINION.
