I don't think they even considered him being questioned.
Its possible of course but IMO it would have had to cross their mind. Their house is chaos at that point. BPD up the wazoo and FBI involvement due to the "kidnapping". Remember PL, we have hindsight to guide us through this. They did not. John and Patsy cannot even begin to fathom that the case is going to be botched to this extent. They would have to assume that her body is going to be found very quickly. They would then be immediately questioned and this includes Burke. By placing Burke at the Whites, he cannot be monitored by his parents and could have easily been interviewed by FBI. He also could have slipped up. If he knows anything about anything, sending him there is an unnecessary risk and would have made them as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.
I have many issues with the BDI scenario on front street and this is one of them. IF its Burke, they were placing their entire family at risk and leaving their fate completely up to Burke.
I think they made a lot of mistakes that morning during the coverup and after the 911 call.
Now that's an understatement.
I wonder if BR said some things at the Fleet's that made them even more wary. Didn't he say somewhere that he discussed her being strangled to another kid and when asked by an adult to repeat it he refused to repeat it again? Not sure when this occurred or if it occurred. I just remember reading somewhere this being referenced in one of the threads. Any one else remember when and if this occurred?
I cant remember off the top of my head when/where he talked about her murder but I'm pretty sure it wasn't at the Whites at that time.
There's so much to go through in this case! :scared: About the time I think I have researched a part well, I learn more about it that I had no clue about. No wonder so many people get confused about this case. There is just so much to it
It's a very complex case. Its what makes it so fascinating. It basically requires years of research....thorough research. The average person who has only watched a documentary on the case has only learned a very small percentage about the case. Its been 20 years and there still hasn't been one single documentary to thoroughly examine the case. They each leave out tons of info and usually because it goes against the grain of what they are pushing. IDI docs did this for eons, now CBS has picked up the baton. In fairness to all of them, it would be almost impossible to include everything. However, I'd prefer that agendas be dropped and approach it as a neutral observer.
It's the Ramsey's way of shutting down and controlling what is and what is not viewed or heard. They hedge their bets I believe, in the fact that people will assume that the person being sued is automatically in the wrong and never follow up. This is why I hope and pray Spitz does not back down or settle. Experts need to start standing up and standing their ground if they believe the Ramsey's are guilty. They do victims a disservice by not standing their ground
Before most of the people involved in this murder die, it needs to hit the reset button with a new group of investigators and they wipe the slate clean. I'd prefer it be the FBI but that is highly unlikely.
Even if we don't agree fully in what these experts say, the fact that they are trying their hardest to get this case heard and investigated properly should mean something. It's important. I think the only expert who felt an intruder did it was Smit right? Not sure about this but he is the one who at least stands out to me.
Technically Douglas believed IDI although he wasn't personally involved and of course did not have access to the evidence.
How can anyone agree fully with what the investigators say? They all believe differently. People are now saying "Kolar saw all the evidence and he says Burke so that's who it is. It adds up". You know who else saw all the evidence? Thomas. He's PDI. Someone else who saw the evidence is Smit. He's IDI. Then there's the others who fall into one of those categories. They're no different than sleuths.....you can place them all into separate factions. None of them seem willing to budge either. Each side cherry picks evidence to fit their theory and ignore the rest. The case has less than zero chance of ever being solved or bringing some sort of closure until a neutral observer is handed the case files. I'm not even sure that's possible at this juncture. The case is so famous that anyone in such a position would already have an opinion on what happened and that would have an impact on their approach.
