I find this youtube version to be good:

"Are they going to arrest me?" would be a normal question in the situation.

I find this youtube version to be good:

Johnjay, take a look at this video. The sound quality is not as good on Youtube as a pure MP3 recording, but this video shows where the child's voice can be heard simply to demonstrate where it occurs. The top recording is the raw version. The bottom one is with noise reduction applied and the 911 operator's keyboard clicks toned down. At 1:30 you can follow the cursor and see where I isolated just the words, "What did you..."

If you want to listen to the actual MP3, it can be found here:

I clearly hear Patsy and Burke on that. In the end, it sounds to me like Burke is saying something like: their going to arrest me?

I'd be curious to hear from the agencies who didn't find voices on that tape why they didn't.

Wow it's heard clear as day. Patsy's was a bit harder to hear but Burke's voice is clearly on it. I'm going with CBS on this theory. That is absolutely Burke's voice. Between that, the cobwebs in the Windows and the bowl of pineapples, plus the note, something smells fishes at the Ramsey house. Pineapples and milk is such a weird mix anyways
Sounds like a weird mix to me too but apparently some people like it.....including a few WS members.

In the years before milk being in the bowl was pushed more as fact, I always wondered if the liquid in the bowl was just from spoiled pineapple at the bottom of the bowl. Next time I shop at Safeway, I'm gonna buy some fresh pineapple, place it in a bowl, leave it sitting there for a couple days at room temperature and see what it does as it starts to spoil. EVen though I do realize pineapple was obviously eaten, I've wondered if that specific bowl had sat there since the 23rd party. Its sitting right next to the gingerbread houses made at that party and is in a similar bowl like those used to serve food at that party.

Has anyone else done this same test here before? If so, anyone got a link handy? I've never seen pineapple spoil so don't even know if a similar colored substance would form.

Speaking of all these 911 call links, has any legitimate reason been given on why the refusal to release the authentic version cleaned up professionally? Not doubting that you can hear other voices(I have tinnitus but I'm not deaf) I'd just like to know why they protect that audio like its in Fort Knox.

Seems like Anti-K did this same experiment and posted pictures. I'm not sure where the post is, but I'll look for it later if no one else finds it first.

No reason has ever been given (TMK) by whoever it is who holds the evidence.

It was always given out as pineapple and cream, not milk. I tried it and took photos of my bowl. I will see if I can find the photo. Personally, I didn't care for the combo as it reduced the sweetness of the pineapple, but mine didn't curdle the cream either.

In one of the documentaries ( I assume in one of the more recent ones ) JR said JBR liked pineapple with milk (cream?), because the milk would it make taste "older". That stuck with me. I think he meant to say the milk would make the pineapple taste more mature, sweet and not acidic. All IMO.

What speaks against the bowl sitting on that table for days is PR saying, there was no bowl with pineapple on the table after breakfast cleanup on December 26th. Even JR stated, he could not imagine food left on the table like that.

I am wondering why john, when/if talking to Burke during the 911 call did not say "your mother is not speaking to you" or "she is not speaking to you"? It seems strange to me that he said "we are not speaking to you" as it was only PR who was having the conversation with the operator. Maybe it's just me though!

I definitely heard Burke and John's voices..

That pineapple and cream thing was something that a poster on FFJ fixated on, because it was in "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie." He thought Patsy had taken that into her life as a part of absorbing that play into her deep psyche. But evidently it is a Southern thing, not just in that play.

It was not sweeter when I tried it. The cream, in fact, reduced the sweetness of the pineapple. I didn't like it.

I can't locate my photograph though. :P

Thanks for posting this statement. I assume you meant the 25th breakfast though. Either way, I believe her on this as it doesn't really help her to lie about this incident. In fact, saying the exact opposite(it being left out for days) would help her case and take the focus off that particular bowl even if there's other pineapple in the fridge or a different bowl.

Was this statement in the transcripts or one of their other interviews? Not gonna ask you to dig it up....just curious where and when it was said. I've read the transcripts and other interviews/books multiple times but it all starts to blur after awhile.

Before my cancer scare in JUne, I was working on a project to format all the Ramsey transcripts better and to also categorize them for easier reading for us sleuths. I got the 'all clear' from my doctor a couple weeks ago as far as cancer is concerned but I'm definitely going to get a second opinion. I do feel a bit better though and in the near future... god willing.... I will resume that project and finish it.

HeyMom.....

It was always given out as pineapple and cream, not milk.
I assume this is canned creme? My grandma used to buy tons of that when I was a kid....mainly to make gravy(which was delicious). I used to like using it for cereal when I'd stay the night. Add a lot of creme and just a tad of water to it. Scrumptious.

Thanks to OTG's phenomenal work, I've had a chance to listen to a bunch of files. After watching the special too, I'm convinced that both John and Burke's voices are captured on the 911 tape.

My problem is that I hear things differently when comparing the enhanced version with the 'cut' version (which more closely resembles the HQ FULL version on youtube)

With the enhanced or cleaned up version, I can very clearly hear John say "We're not speaking to you" (presumably to Burke), and it does sound like Burke says 'What DID you find?' then is cut off by that weird edited silent hum bit for a few seconds before we get the static-y stuff again. However whatever Patsy says in between sounds like inaudible pops and clicks to me. This version seems similar to the one used on the CBS special.

However, in the 'cut' version - which I call the raw version - I much more clearly hear Patsy say 'Sweetie, what did you do? What did you do? Then Burke says 'They gonna arrest me?' John is barely audible to me.

OTG's looped version of "What did you-" still sounds like "arrest me?" to me. The "help me Jesus" loop still sound like "What did you do?!"

FWIW, I used Audacity to experiment with reducing the noise and enhancing the vocal clarity. I slowed down the tempo without compromising pitch.

I've made a transcript of what I heard as the full tape and also uploaded the short snippet of audio to support my interpretation here.

Please note that the grey parts I am very unsure of. I heard them when I watched/listened to other people's recordings on youtube, but am less confident they're truly there. I also wonder if the "Hun, we need an- police!" is actually a very fast "Hurry!"

As for the pineapple, I believe I read elsewhere that the pineapple and milk is often called 'pineapple and cream' and canned condensed or evaporated milk used not the fresh kind.

That sure sounds like a child's voice asking if they're going to arrest him, at least to me.

Patsy: What did you do? help me Jesus!
Burke: Are they going to arrest me?
John: We're not speaking to you!
Burke: Well what did you find?

Does this line up? It sounds like a believable coversation to me.

I seem to like the youtube version the best.

No, I think they meant regular liquid cream. Not evaporated milk but actual whipping cream. That is what I always took it to mean and that is what I tried. I can't find my old photograph, thought I had it saved on a hard drive but I now know it's on a hard drive that I have to hook up to my computer in a complicated way, which means it probably won't be done. I think it's on FFJ somewhere though.

I live in the Deep South...here it's fruit with sweetened condensed milk ...which locals call cream ...or milk ...

There is speculation John is listening to the 911 call on another phone, so if Burke sees them both on the phone it makes sense.

It may have been half and half. My southern grandma always had peaches and half and half for us and half and half is much sweeter than plain cream. Very yummy!!
