The video is from 2012, the FBI said.

In a bitter twist, music and dialogue from The Land Before Time can be heard in the background of the child video.

It first came to light in 2014, flagged by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Cops went directly to Nowheresville in their first kick at the can.

Initially, detectives believed they were dealing with a male suspect. Now, it appears the sicko is a woman.

“Due to the age of the images, it is possible that the individual’s appearance may have changed over the years,” the feds said in a press release.

She is currently described as a white female with brown hair and thick-rimmed glasses."

I assume they have more to go on than this photo to believe it’s a female, looks like it could just as easily be a male. JMHO of course.

ETA: On the other hand, the perp looks enough like Ashley Maddox to be her, at least to me. :sigh:

FBI Seeking Individual Who May Have Information Regarding the Identity of a Child Sexual Assault Victim — FBI
"The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking the public’s assistance with obtaining identifying information regarding an unknown female who may have critical information pertaining to the identity of a child victim in an ongoing sexual exploitation investigation. Photographs and an informational poster depicting the unknown individual, known only as Jane Doe 37, are being disseminated to the public.

Initial videos of the unidentified female, Jane Doe 37, shown with a child were first recorded by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in June 2014. The EXIF data embedded within the video files also indicated that the files were produced in April 2012. In addition, audio from the animated film The Land Before Time can be heard in the background of the videos.

Jane Doe 37 is described as a white female with brown hair and wearing dark-framed glasses. Due to the age of the images, it is possible that the individual’s appearance may have changed over the years.

Information regarding this individual was originally released in late 2016 under a John Doe title. However, further investigation has led the FBI to determine the gender of this individual is female and not male. Therefore, this individual is now known as Jane Doe 37.

Anyone with information to provide should submit a tip online or call the FBI’s toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324). The public is reminded no charges have been filed in this case and that the pictured individual is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

This individual is being sought as part of the FBI’s Operation Rescue Me and Endangered Child Alert Program (ECAP) initiatives, both of which represent strategic partnerships between the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Operation Rescue Me focuses on utilizing clues obtained through in-depth image analysis to identify the child victims depicted in child exploitation material, while ECAP seeks national and international media exposure of unknown adults (referred to as John/Jane Does) who visibly display their faces and/or other distinguishing characteristics in association with child images."

Agree, the pics look like it could be someone who could pass as either a male or female, could it be a person who is " transitioning"? speculation, imo.

Who knows, anything’s possible. I edited my above post to add, the perp resembles the other woman that was arrested, Ashley Maddox, without the glasses. But I guess it’s not her or they wouldn’t still be trying to ID the perv.

Did they get this video off the internet? I guess we don’t know, if so I thought the IP address could point to location. Or, not? I’m not sure how all that works.
