Who is the drifter who was with Joe Brewer and why isn’t this public information?

I always thought that this should have been released. I know they released some of the members who attended the party, but maybe this person could provide context. The last I read, Joseph Brewer moved from LI. Please correct me if I'm missing anything lol

The Drifter wrote a book, and details some of his interactions with Brewer. He writes under the pen-name W.
He claims no involvement in the death of Shannan.

The last I heard, JB moved from Oak Beach to West Islip.
That was several years ago.
Don't know if he left the Island since then.
