Who really watched Caylee ??

Your post spurred a thought to me. I lived in Florida for many years up until last month, one hour from Orlando. The heat may have actually been a contributing factor. It doesn't start getting really warm until late april or may and by June, it is hot! Her body was in the trunk for about 3 days after death, so I don't know why it would be such a stretch that she would have been in the trunk before death, especially in light of the alleged findings that the chloroform levels were 10,000 times higher than normal.

Also, if you do not believe the trunk was the babysitter, who do you think was? I am curious.

I didn't know that, I'm just getting here.

Is this a possible scenario:
ICA uses chloroform to put little Caylee to sleep when she is at friends. The chloroform helps her to stay asleep. ICA doesn't want to have to be torn away from the party or to irritate her friends.
ICA keeps the chloroform in the trunk, but she has used a container that doesn't protect from fumes getting out, it opens or whatever. ICA then puts Caylee in the car not intending to kill, but Caylee breaths the fumes and overdoses.

I agree. Someone would have noticed restraint marks, irritation from tape etc.

But I guess I'm biased because I just don't want that to be true.

It's the Florida elements that make me base my decision on this.

Honey,I don't want it to be true either.I sincerely do not think Caylee was ever placed in the trunk as some form of confinement.

In my opinion Caylee was placed there after she was murdered by her mother. That's pretty much how I have always felt.

Listen to the 12/09/10 LE interview of Brett Douglas Reilly, TES volunteer
(http://www.wftv.com/video/25101905/index.html) at approx. 5 minutes.

'Kristina' is Kristina Chester. Kristina was at the Anthony home on the evening of 16 July when ICA called. There is a handwritten statement she provided to LE, but no interview.

I'm thinking because little Caylee was so very young when she was murdered, KC didn't do this trunk/zanny thing that long, or even that often. But this last time it turned out really horrible for Caylee. I'm thinking that is why KC's "dream team" is saying it was an accident.

With all the evidence IMO there blank theories are just so lame. If I were in the jury I would feel like they are insulting my intelligence.

I also don't believe the trunk was Zanny. My theory is that Casey was watching Caylee when she was supposed to be "working". I think Casey and Caylee probably drove around and hung out with people during the day or maybe they hung out in parks. Several of Casey's friends were college students who were sometimes home during the day and I recall one of the female friends said that Casey and Caylee would visit her sometimes during the day when she didn't have classes.

Another thing is that Casey claimed that her phony event planning job allowed to her to flexible. She fabricated emails saying that she had to work at night events. She could have claimed that since she worked at night, that she would the days off and she would be home with Caylee. Casey claimed to several people that she could work from home. Annie D. mentioned this her in depo and in the chat transcirpts with Anthony R., Casey was claiming that she working from home.

In the chat transcripts, she mentions working on a document or something and that she needed to email to her boss. She even told Anthony R that she had translate something into Spanish. I think it is possible that her parents and friends believed that she could work from home any time she wanted. Annie D. eventually doubted this.

I work as a technical writer mostly out of my home and some companies do allow people to work of house when needed or sometimes they let people work mostly out of the home. With Casey if I had known her, I would have never believed her work from home claims. To start off, Casey was pretending to work from a Compaq laptop which was really Cindy's computer

To start off, most companies wouldn't use Compaq computers. Compaq/HP computers are rarely used by businesses. Dell is more commonly PC brand among businesses. Also businesses likely would not allow someone to work from their own personal computer, so if Casey was claiming she could from a personal computer that it wouldn't hold water. Companies with work at home employees supply them the computers with the needed software that allows the employees to produce competent work.

I think Casey probably faked days in which she told people she had the days off or she hung with friends who believed her BS.

If she routinely (or ever once, for that matter) put that little girl in the trunk of her car, I think Caylee would have "given that away" pretty quickly. I think she (Caylee) would have AT LEAST shied away from the car/trunk. I would expect her to actively stay away from it. She would have been afraid of the car/trunk--it's dark and scary. Grandma would have picked up on that in a nano-second.

Do you mean prior to Caylee's demise? George and Cindy when she was not with Casey.

:grouphug:

Thank you! I'm too sensitive, but even my boyfriend has taken to talking to the tv when something upsets him about this case.

I think that CA told ICA that she would not watch Caylee unless ICA was going to work. Hence the made up job. I also believe she would not watch Caylee so ICA could party with friends. Hence ICA bringing her with her to parties and telling CA she was with the nanny not at the party with ICA sleeping in RM's bed. So then comes the problem...AL won't let Caylee come and stay over (??):waitasec:

I'm thinking it was probably the inside of Casey's car trunk....maybe she called the car "Zanny"...or maybe she just called the trunk "Zanny" but, I have no doubt that that's where she kept little Caylee while she partied. JMO of course. And to think...if this is truly the case, then she'd been using the "Zanny trunk" since her friend stopped watching Caylee.

I used to think that. Well, for a short time. Now I think that it's just not possible. Even in the winters, it's often warm or hot (and when it's not, then it's too cold). I live here. I can't tell you how many Christmas seasons I've spent in shorts. This past winter, I think maybe we had two cold days.

I totally respect your opinion though. Who knows, I've been wrong about things before!!

Interesting, especially about the computer. I was trying to do case work from home on my laptop many moons ago, I have always used Macs. It didn't fly with my boss. I wouldn't have thought about that.

oooo! you made the hairs on my arm stand up!

Great points. You could be bang on.

I think Cindy made promises to casey about everything was going to be ok, I think she promised she would help take the burden of looking after the baby. However i think the goal posts changed once caylee was born and Cindy used caylee as a way to keep a strangle hold on casey. This in turn bred resentment, and believe played a major role in the death of caylee.

Gonna go away from this thread now.

This is bordering on "rumors" IMO.

There is ZERO evidence that I have seen, that the trunk was a babysitter prior to the 31 days. Prior to the 31 days, it seems to me that she was taken care of by GA, CA, and even Casey. She was also with Casey while with other people.

There is ZERO evidence of Benedryl being used!

Carry on....

I was a single teenage mom and took care of my daughter all the time when not working (hardly ever had a babysitter - my parents had the "you made your bed, now lay in it" attitude about my teenage pregnancy). I still had a social life but my daughter was in tow always. It felt strange when she wasn't there and my girlfriends would immediately ask who had her etc if I didn't have my daughter with me. But that's because I almost always DID have her with me.

My best friend at that time also had a child but she NEVER had him with her...her parents had him allllll the time (they were of the mindset that she was still a kid herself and needed to be allowed to live that way). People did the opposite with her - "oh your parents aren't around?" etc when her son was with us.

Soooo....say Casey usually didn't have her, it might not be odd to people...but if she actually DID show up with her, people then asked whats up? It also seems like since she was hanging with a new dude/his friends/his hangouts...there wouldn't have been a pattern established yet where Caylee was always underfoot. Though there kinda was but not for long.

(just as a side note for amusement sake, my daughter is now pre-med and the former BFFs son dropped out of HS...my parents did me a HUGE favor by never babysitting)

You and me both, sister. Mine was always with me at night with the exception of a weekend night here or there.
My mother ALWAYS knew who my daughter's babysitter was, she had to pick her up sometimes if I was running late at work-cause I had a real job and that happens with real jobs. I am now of the opinion, since I own my own company and work from home, that if a client doesn't like me bringing my 13 year old with me when I have to, I don't need them as a client.
I have also brought my daughter to work when I was employed by corporations-She attends Catholic school and they get a lot more half days and days off than I did in public school, so my employers were used to seeing my daughter, too, and co-workers knew when I had to make arrangements to work late because I would lament to them that I had to coordinate.

No one knew KC's nanny, not even her parents. That is way odd when you live in the same house as your folks. No one at her Universal "job" ever made any concessions for KC to be home with Caylee or heard of KC making daycare/babysitting arrangements so she could do her event planning....well, that's because she didn't have a job, but did CA not ever ask why KC had a job that required her to put Caylee second ALL THE TIME? My mom would have asked "Don't they know you have a child to care for? Why would they give you a late night schedule? Why don't you find a daytime job and get daycare?"
Well, seems like CA was getting to that point and it was causing KC a bad hair day. So, I think Caylee was with CA all of the time, and according to what Annie said about CA calling everytime they went out, I am sure CA wasn't digging it-Not cause she didn't love Caylee, but because she had raised her kids and wanted KC to raise hers.
Now, once we get into 2008, KC does start to find places to go, like Ricardo's, to avoid CA's beckoning. Her decision to start dating Tony put her in a bind...let Caylee stay with mom and hear mom's mouth, or act like an adult and tell TL that her child comes first (like she did with Rusciano when she wanted to get rid of him), or the no-brainer (? :banghead: ) take Caylee out of the equation entirely.
Making that choice for a guy you know a month or two takes a certain kind of creep. Not childhood abuse, not youthfulness, not an oopsy...a selfish, oversexed, narcissistic creep.

A HUGEEEEEEEE CONGRATS, and thanks for sharing that. :)

Hi
We have a thread that discusses this in the Rescource links, Case Calendar & Timeline Forum that was started in November 2008.
I am not sure how to move the thread to the Main Forum..

[ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75729"]Accountability of Caylee - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community[/ame]

Check out the above thread...WS'ers have done great work on the timeline in that thread

I used to think that too. [ that she used to place her in the trunk, drugged out.] Mostly because of the term Zanny the nanny because I know kids call Xanax 'Zannies.' So for that reason alone it makes sense.

But IIRC, and I am pretty certain of this, they did a hair analysis for drugs after the remains were found, and there were no drugs like Xanax or Ambiens found in the hair sample. That made me rethink things.

And also, she could not have routinely used duct tape on that poor child's mouth. It would absolutely leave a very rough red mark.

I'll bet if she could have drugged her and thrown her in the trunk every night and gotten away with it she would have but it did not happen like that. When Caylee was a baby she could have just given her baby tylenol and left her in someones back bedroom while she partied. It was only when she became walking and talking that she was becoming more of a burden.

She lost her real, live babysitter Lauren ??? in 2006 when Lauren needed to talk to ICA for some reason and called Sports Authority only to find out ICA didn't work there. The Grunds, Richard (Jesse's father) watched Caylee for a couple months after that, so that time might actually finish out 2006. It was about the time that Richard grew tired of watching her that Casey first mentioned having a nanny. Can anybody fill in after January 2007 to June 2008? That's 18 months of not being sure who the sitter was.

IMO She probably gave her some Benedryl to knock her out, her favorite blanket and left her in the trunk........or car.....or empty Anthony house if they were at work. Poor little Caylee probably needed more and more knock out meds until she was old enough to start talking...then duct tape and chloroform came into play.

Sorry but I disagree with Caylee being in the trunk prior to her death as I feel she would have been dead a long time ago. It's Florida after all.
That is one of the things I have been in serious disagreement about since this case started.I have not now nor will I ever believe she used the trunk as a babysitter.
That's just my opinion.

I agree with you. I don't think Caylee was ever in the trunk until she was either dead or dying.

Also, when this topic has been hashed out in the past, it was established that KC did tend to have Caylee with her, and when she didn't, CA had her. CA, unlike KC, did seem to stress out because of Caylee's absence as evidenced by the My Caylee is missing Myspace entry.
