A MUST READ!!!!
I was just reading through some old threads when I saw this article posted...pertains to the whole network bidding wars. We never did find out who posted Casey's bond the 2nd time, did we?

ETA: ok...just found this...not sure if it answers my question...or if it just confuses me more...

I for one am extremely disapointed in CBS. This was a broadcasting network that stood for integrety in my book, and now I'd rate them just below the Star in jurnalistic integrety. There is no excuse for either the content or the timing, and these people should be ashamed of themselves.

ITA - and I guess they still feel obligated after paying CA and GA the $20K to slant things in ICA's favor. ABC paid ICA ten times more for her "photos" and they aren't pandering to the public in a way that's this egregious.

I think the best way to express my frustration is to write a letter to the CEO. Or hit them where it will really hurt and write to their advertisers.

And it SHOULD be in orange county. That is the community in which the crime occurred.

As far as LKB why is she even commenting on this case,it is my understanding that she withdrew as an atty, and her opinion/position cannot be x-examined in a court of law. She needs to mind her own business and stay in NY or where ever she is,the same applies to Kobalinsky of John Jay college, saw his mug on the promos. If these people felt so strongly about the case why didn't they put their money where their mouths are and do the trial "pro bono", the T/P's of Florida did not have a choice, they are footing the bill for some out of town bozos to voice an opinion on national TV and help taint a jury, that the D/T now wants to be ushered all over Fla in an attempt to find "an impartial jury" boy o' boy, glad I don't live in Fla and I'm not paying for this trial, cause I would be raising sand with my elected officials about this D/T stunt JMHO I'm still :maddening: :maddening: :maddening: for the T/Pers of Fla/

Because they can still make money off "the case" (and indirectly...poor Caylee :( )

I think it's CBS's turn to feel "the burn" ABC already felt it after buying the first set of pictures, they know what it felt like and have not dipped their hands in the cookie jar since MOO:maddening:

A MUST READ!!!!

I know good info. I posted a few pages back that on the Levi show they were talking about the DT having a Jury Consultant.. and we all that HHJP didn't allow JAC for it... so the question in my mind is did JB find a way to get one another way? If so, I have no doubt that the State will be over this. jmo

Let me see if I've got this straight in my head. It was the DT team that filed a motion against HHJP what, a week ago last Friday complaining that he was "biased"? A little over a week later, that same DT is on a 48 Hours special on nationwide TV regarding their client's case, possibly tainting any potential jury, no matter what County in Fl. they are pulled from? To top it off, it was this jury consultant RG, that JB wanted the State of Fl. to pay for? The State of Fl. goes broke, has to ask the Governor for more money so they can get their client to trial....to pull a stunt like this? We won't hear any of that on this show though, will we Jose? We won't hear about how Cheney believed she was guilty before joining your team, will we? None of that will come out.......and you're calling HHJP biased?

I'm going to the chatroom.....my blood pressure is through the roof.

Thanks for that, makes you wonder, just what JB/CM etal are going to get out of all of this once this trial is over, and the poor T/Pers of Fla are just getting stuck with the damn bill, and that is just not fair JMHO:waitasec:

IMO, at the mere mention of their names.......you'll get a large chuckle......that's all.:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Sinse when is 48 hours a fantasy show :waitasec: There is no way Casey is gonna be acquitted. Give me a break. I have heard more then once from defense that its junk science well this is junk Journalism IMO. I use to watch 48 hours I thought they sought the truth but I guess I was wrong. I wont be watching and giving them my rating. Sadly another network that cares more about the money then a little girl getting the justice she deserves. :maddening:

The last time 48 Hours aired it was clear to me that CA and GA were phony baloney liars. With a lick of sense people can tell when someone is play-acting for the camera. The facts of the case will be brought forward during the show and no matter how it may be down-played the truth will peek her head out and be known. They will repeat the fact that 31 days went by and mommy didn't report her baby missing. This show doesn't scare me.

If it makes you feel better, read the comments under the video. Or better yet, add to them.

I'm only seeing 5 comments, that surprises me, I would think there would be more.

wouldn't it be great if it could become illegal, like the Son of Sam law, only specifically the law would encompass journalism (abc, nbc, cbs and the like)? Oh, now that is a grand dream, and that law could be named for Caylee. It would be one heckuva David and Goliath fight.

I think that's a dandy idea. If our government wasn't involved in such a quagmire of economic and other political concerns, I'd definitely be writing a member of Congress.

In the interim, I would also think that petitioning the Bar Association to add this conflict of interest to their ethical standards for attorneys would be an good alternative. JB had to do a lot of wheeling and dealing to put this together, (which is probably why he never filed for a speedy trial). The blood money from ABC for Caylee's "photos" that sickened many of us was a large part of the quarter million JB got and blew through. If he had spent as much time on her defense as he did on being ringmaster to his media circus the taxpayers would not have had to foot as much of the bill as they have and will for this case.

I realize this case is an anomaly - a defendant financing her defense at the expense of the murder victim - but we in the public need to put pressure on the media as well, because we can do that now even if an excellent law such as you propose is never enacted (which it absolutely should be - this is a slippery slope with serious potential consequences and right up there with the worst examples like Geraldo's little diagram in the sand, imo). At least, as consumers, we have the power of our wallets - and since the profit motive appears to be behind the media's treatment of this event - letting them know where we draw the line is something we can definitely communicate immediately.
